F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Got my $34.99 (used-very good) X360 Skylanders today. The box and game were opened but eveything is there, portal, cards, web codes and characters.

received my red dualshock 3 and uncharted controller/dualpack bundle just now... red came in perfect @ $28, and the blue for $50 was missing the dualpack games, disappointing but I contacted amazon and they refunded me for half($25). not a bad haul at all, $53 for 2 brand spanking new red & blue dualshock 3s.

I purchased the MW3 special edition Xbox 360 Like New for $263. Earlier today I signed up for 6 months of Amazon prime for students and I used that to order my system. I selected 1 day shipping for an extra $3.99 (this was at about a quarter past noon EST) but the receipt says that the item is expected to arrive Thursday, January 26th. It's not a huge deal but could anyone explain to me why the one day shipping is expected to take 3 days? Thanks! :)

you should probably contact amazon about that issue, there really is no excuse for charging you overnight shipping that well... isnt overnight shipping

Agreed. They should at least refund your shipping charge and give you a small credit. It's what they've done when I've contacted them before (didn't specifically ask for the credit).
2 questions....

First, I bought an "acceptable" MW3 Delta wireless 7.1 headset for $140. At first, the description looked generic, but after reading it, it sounds like the manuals and cd are whats messed up. It stated a scratch on disk and booklet was torn and bent. It didnt say anything about damage to the unit. Has anyone bought an acceptable item, and if so, how did it turn out? I'm a little worried but the price was too good to pass up if just the cd and manual are messed up.

2nd, whats everyones experience who has bought a console? I need another 360 and the like new for $225 caught my eye. I hate buying used consoles but i'm tempted. You just never know what these went through if they were returns....
Descriptions are usually dead-on. And most times they exaggerate damage, etc just to be safe. If it says only the manual/CD are messed up, the headset is probably pristine. Any item missing a major component (like a manual, etc.) is usually classified as Acceptable even if the actual item is Like New.

Also, I bought a 4GB XBox360 about a week ago in Good condition for $129 specifically because the description only mentioned damage to the package. Console came factory sealed with just a dent on one of the corners of the box.

There are great deals to be had on consoles (especially if you pay attention to the descriptions) and anything classified as Like New is usually well worlth the money...
did it say it was "acceptable" on the description?

nice pick up :D
no, it was "like new" for the description. That was the main reason I decided to take the plunge and also I could just return it if I didn't like it.
Took a chance with an item I found on AWD for $45.92 since I had some credit:

Wow, it really is Like New. Nice.

Could use some advice from the AWD regulars:

What's a good price for either the 4GB or 250GB Xbox 360 Slim? I'm thinking of replacing my current '08-era model, and there's the holiday bundle ones up for $225. Not a bad deal, but I don't care about the games. Is that a good price, or should I wait? The storage is definitely important (I'm maxing my 120GB with installed games), but I could buy a 4GB and and hard drive separately if that were cheaper in the long run.

Thoughts? Thanks.

250GB Drive's run around $60 atleast that's where I got mine at.

If you see a holiday bundle dip around

There seems to be a set pricing scale on the 4GB XBox360: $119 Acceptable; $129 Good; $139 Very Good; $149 Like New

Like New consoles seem to come in and out of stock regularly

Also, I've seen the 250GB hit the $195 mark pretty regularly lately too but I don't remember the condition

If you don't care about the games (one of which is a code that will likely be used anyway) and you're not hard-up for a console immediately, then I'd just sit-tight and wait on a 4GB or 250GB to hit a better price point

I've been keeping an eye on 250GB slims and very good/like new has been floating around $210-$230 from what I've seen. Not bad considering if you walked into a retail store that's how much you'd pay for a 4GB new after tax. Least that's how I weigh it out.
oh my god i'm so jealous.

now, find me FF3 for that price in that condition!
There is a Like New FF3 in the warehouse, but its around $65.

Took a shot and ordered a "Used - Acceptable" Blue Dualshock 3 Controller for $26.88

Other than the original packaging cut open, the controller was brand new. I am very happy.
I haven't been following the price for this too closely, but this seems like a good deal:

ION ICade Arcade Cabinet for iPad

Pretty good deal. Apparently on ebay it's normal to see them go for $60 used, and their street price seems to have dropped to $79.99; not sure if $19.99 is a steep enough drop for my blood to want to buy one of these used.

it kinda scares me when the description states: Includes manual, cover art, and case. Full game is included, but bonus downloadable content may have already been redeemed. Cleaning and repair was done as required. Game data from previous use may be present, but can be overwritten or deleted.

Maybe they blew into the game cartridge?

I've seen that before when they listed a ton of them at the same time. It just sounds like another flavor of the standard copy they use, so I personally wouldn't worry too much about it.

Just received my Like New- WoW Cataclysm expansion for $27.

$13 off and and i got the cd and cd key. i wonder how it was used o.0

I grabbed one. I figure for 50%+ off retail is not a bad price. Like New condition also. I personally enjoyed the heck out of Fable 3. Only game I have bought at 60 MRSP and no regrets there. Because of the game I ended up grabbing like 30 channeler sword codes from BB for free (they had left over) and sold each one 6-10 a pop (traded 3 for 4800 MS points also, lol). Game for free+lot of cash leftover.

my frys has the ce for 29.99 or 39.99

A lot of stuff is converted to used if there's slight product damages on it's packaging.

It has been $20 new from amazon before.

$27 is an ok price if you needed it right away but I would of held off.
