F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Playing RTTS on the Vita sounds amazing, but I just can't justify the price. Even through the warehouse.

Really do want one, though.

Same here, I'm holding off for at least a year.
Probably the main reason I haven't bought one. The library is complete garbage imo outside of Uncharted, which is overpriced.
one mans garbage is another mans treasure...Plenty of people on here including myself have enjoyed multiple Vita games and all at discounted prices.
just wanted to make sure, but it's gonna be hit or miss with the online codes, right?
Never buy from Warehouse Deals expecting a code. Quite often, you will get and it will be a bonus.

But if you factor getting a code into your price and your desire to purchase there are going to be times you will be disappointed. Then you will end up here railing against WHDs. People will tell you not to be a doofus. You will get all worked up and decide to go for a walk to cool down. While you're walking you will get hit by a runaway car. All of that, just because you expected to get a code. Don't expect to get a code.

randomly saw Darkness 2 for $30 and copped it. Not sure if it was the smartest decision ever but 2day free ship with Prime and a decent discount I guess its worth it.

Sure enough my "lost" Uncharted 2 finally shows up 2 days after Amazon gives me a refund. It was listed in good condition and showed up brand new in shrink wrap.

Should I let Amazon know? They said I could refuse the package if it still showed up and send it back when they issued the refund.

Personally, I would let them know.

I get so many good deals through Amazon and, fortunately, customer service has always promptly taken care of me when there are issues. I'd feel guilty not sending it back and would be waiting for the karma gods to kick me in the butt for it. :D But that's just me! LOL.

They've been extra good to me (Almost too good), that if that happened, I would let them know and send it back in an instant.

I would let them know so you know you did the right thing.

I wish I had the same luck with Amazon CS as others have had. It has been nothing short of terrible to me. I have had a few issues go poorly and their front line were unhelpful and rude. Thankfully, there haven't been many issues, so I still use them. If someone has the same or better deal though, I go away from Amazon.

Relax. I knew i'd get a defensive post like this. I'm not bashing the system it looks and plays great. But I've seen what "discounted" prices are as I follow this thread and others, and even if there were a few games i'd play over and over, my opinion is this thing is still a huge ripoff from the memory cards on down.

Maybe im just conditioned to pay 10 to 15 for great PSP games. Can't ever see myself paying double for prettier games I won't get much mileage from. I keep thinking back to dungeon hunter costing $1 on IOS, lol. I know the vita experience is different but c'mon the pricing is a joke.

Anyway, just remember my name and you can throw it back at me this fall when I overpay for Wii u games.

if you want the game you can just contact cs and have them deduct the refunded amount probably instead of sending it back.
thats what I'd do.

I've played a few hours of it and I like it. I've been wondering why Jackie looks so small/short in the mirror. Is he supposed to be a small guy or it's just bad programming?

Well for me thanks to the batman ac flip I got a vita and men card for about $150 so I think that's a fair price  plus half the games I've gotten are cheap psp games on psn

If you were not looking for negative comments, you should have refrained from calling the current library of games "garbage" and said something more along the lines of "there are no games that currently interest me." You are guaranteed to get negative comments when trashing an entire library on a console. As for myself, I own 6 games on the Vita and really enjoy them, so they certainly are not "garbage."

They were up practically all day yesterday. You'll get more chances.

this is my first time buying from amazon warehouse. What is actually the condition of a used -like new condition? Is it like refurbish? Is it a returned item from a customer?

It really varies. Sometimes the description can give a hint to what it was. I've ordered Collector's Editions of games in Like New condition and everything inside was sealed.. just the outer box had a little damage. Other times it was clearly a return/trade-in: everything opened, dlc used, but everything was included and still in perfect condition.
Ditto. I hope they aren't too messed up.
Even though it says minor cosmetic imperfections is it likely to be anything major?

Yeah you should probably cancel it!

Not a chance ;)

Still almost $100 cheaper than it is currently. As long as there's not a huge gash across the screen I'll be fine.

Got a Vita. Total after gift card and shipping is $158.

I miss Prime :(

It is essentially $100 off, but I don't know if I even want the damn thing. I have to make my decision before it ships out

I was just joking lol, should be pretty much new.

Debating on adding "Home of the $175 PS Vita" to the title.... just so i have a smaller chance of actually finding and buying one because i know i don't need one..

hrm... then people may hate me.

Is there a point to having a Vita if you don't have a PS3?

Or will I be missing out on a big chunk of the experience?

Im literally in the same exact boat haha.

I miss prime too heh, I had a free year. But My vita went form "shipping soon" and I said ah well, it'l be cool...From "not yet shipped" and now Im re-thinking it constantly. The fact that it cant play downloaded PSone games yet is killing it to be honest. and that it hasnt shipped!

But Ill probably go ahead and go for it, you gotta think about the value of it, at 150 thats pretty good. You could potentially resell it for 50-100 dollar profit, thats the way I look at it anyway. If i don't like it in the end I can sell it, and rest on the fact that I lost no money in the process, and got to try it for free! If I love it, then i got a damn good deal on it (as good as a potential future price drop if i wanted it badly in the next 2 years)

I just have to take really good care of it so it goes the distance!
There is a vita sitting there right now for anybody that wants it lol.

I am waiting for a 3ds. How often do those come up?
As far as amazon warehouse they always pop up. There was one yesterday for 150 an aqua blue. I havnt checked lately though.

I got my red one a few weeks ago for 140 "like new" and it was perfect. Since then ive seen several blacks and blues.
yup
You sure? Cause the picture doesn't have the "$55 value" sticker on the front and it isn't listed as a 3g/WiFi launch bundle, just a regular 3g/WiFi model.
