F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

the seller must have been really disappointed lol

It was a debit card. I bet that seller will just about shit his pants as bad as me when he next checks his seller account. Reminds me of those 0.01 limit orders you see when viewing all the offers good for the day for a stock. One day it will hook something like on that flash crash day.

how do you post photos?

you'll have to host it somewhere. Photobucket is what I use

I didn't know how to post pics as well until today. I just uploaded the pic into my profile then I just copy and paste the URL into the message. Better that having to create another profile somewhere else. Hope that helps.

finally got in on a $187 Wifi Vita in Like New condition :D

also have a question about how big are game save files? Should I go for a 4gb or 8gb memory card? I won't be putting much if any other media on my Vita just game saves

For imageshack, all you have to do is upload, get the url and forget you uploaded it.
For funny pics saved in my computer ( i try searching google first) , that is what I do when i want to share with CAG or forums.

For pohotobucket, I use that to slowly (and i mean when i feel like it) upload photos taken by my camera. You know...family and personal photos and such.
Congrats to all of you that have gotten good vitas from AWD. Mine is still in "We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item". I placed the order on the 4th and it will be the 10th tomorrow.
I had the same thing, emailed them to cancel the order, and bam - it was shipped (received email) and then received another email directly after from Amazon CS (stating that it was already shipped and they couldn't cancel it!)

Considering I wasn't supposed to get it until the 18th, I call shenanigans. :) Obviously a risky move but I was on the fence about getting it anyway, so if they would have cancelled, I would have been fine.

Same here. I ordered mine last friday and originally it had a ship date of today (10th), but then it mysteriously changed to the nebulous "we'll notify you" thing over the weekend. If you contact their CS and ask what's up they'll at least bump your shipping up to a better level.

I bought a 4gb and wish I would have gotten the 8gb or bigger. I don't plan to buy any vita games off psn, but I will probably buy some psone or psp games eventually.

Just keep in mind that the Vita carts still install to the memory card. IIRC, Uncharted installs about 2 gigs of data.. I have an 8GB with my 3g kit and wish I had a 32..

I have Valkyria Chronicles II, Persona 3 Portable, 1 music album, and a few Vita games installed (not sure how much memory they take up). I'd go with the 8gb or 16gb.

Exactly, there is no shame in going to a community college for 2 years to get your bachelor and pre-reqs out of the way. Save a ton of money as well as help out if you aren't sure what you want to do.

alright thanks guys I'm going for the 8gb then, have any 8gb shown up on AWD? If so how much? Think I might just go with the new one though $29.99 isn't too bad and people on craigslist are selling them for about the same new/used

well speak of the devil went to check and an 8gb card popped up for $22.47 picked it up along with Uncharted (like new) $34.78 and the travel pouch (like new) $14.09 so with the Vita its a grand total of $258.83

Yup, that's what I did..classes are a bit easier too IMO. At community college scholarships are piss easy to get, at the State uni I went to, tuition was like $2500 a semester.

true but this is the first Vita I actually was around to get or wasn't out of stock when I tried to pay. The Vita and the memory card dont ship until next week so I will keep an eye out so if I can score a 3g Vita will just cancel the wifi + 8gb

If you can try to get at least a 16gig to be on the safe side if you can, but 8gig is the smallest i would get for sure.

I just got my GOOD wifi vita from AWD yesterday, and ended up getting a 32gig locally, just to be safe. :D
So why are you buying from Amazon Warehouse Deals? Buy it new if you expect everything to be brand new.

AWD is the land of misfit toys (and consoles).
Being "complete" and "brand new" are 2 different things. Never said I expected it to be brand new, just COMPLETE.
What's the general opinion on buying used games on amazon? anyone have had a bad experience?
My "Good" condition Vita FEB touchscreen was defective, had to send it back for refund. They offered me $5 credit.

Also, I bought a Hori PS Vita case (Like new) from AWD and it was brand new.

The problem in my case is that I'm not from the states, so I sending my order to a friend of mine who is there and he'll get it back to me. So if a game is faulty or something like that I'm pretty much screwed.

But thanks, I haven't really had problems with amazon, however I haven't bought used stuff from them, so I guess I'll try it and see how it goes

I'm buying stuff in "like new" condition just in case (maybe there's a pun in there?)
Being "complete" and "brand new" are 2 different things. Never said I expected it to be brand new, just COMPLETE.
That being said, why would you expect something to be complete from a seller of open box items? ;)

That's a bummer. My Wifi that I ordered late last week shipped yesterday, and arrives tomorrow. I won't get to check it out until Friday though since I'm out of town :(
Just a heads up they cancelled my Vita order for a lack of availability. I ordered $187 Vita on Saturday.
just wondering, heads up for what? It's not like it'll be available for someone else.

There's also no shame in going to a private school if you can.

Heads up is pointless aside from getting others worried for no reason

EDIT: I sound kinda douchey, not intentional lol

Very rarely does anyone have "bad" experiences on amazon because they're so good at CS. But every WD game I've bought has come in like new shape. They have a disc buffer, FWIW.
What's the general opinion on buying used games on amazon? anyone have had a bad experience?
My like new Vita was cancelled too.
They marked it as shipped (2-days shipping), even gave me a tracking number.
But UPS said they never received it from Amazon.
Few days later Amazon cancelled it. Never gave a reason.

Amazon's customer service is really good so if there's something wrong with an order, they will usually go above and beyond to make it right.

Lately (NOT all the time) they've been slow to ship my orders, sometimes it'll be like 3 days until they ship.
I was just doing my daily round of checking Amazon for Vita deals and spotted the $187. I got it! Also grabbed a 32gb memory card for $90. Still not very cheap, but $10 off always helps and it only makes it about $10 more than a new wifi model without the memory card.
But has it shipped yet? That is the question. I cancelled my "good" vita order from last week because of the "we'll email you with an estimated delivery date" thing. I also ordered a LN $187 one today to see if I would have any better luck. I have an estimated delivery date, but I won't believe anything until I see "shipped."
What's the general opinion on buying used games on amazon? anyone have had a bad experience?
I buy used games from them all the time and have never had a problem. Just the other day I bought a "Very Good" Dragon Age Origins Collector's Edition and it was factory sealed. Come to think of it, I've had a couple games I bought from Amazon that was listed as used but were factory sealed.

...and if by some chance there is something wrong, their customer service is second to none.
