What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Yeah I hear bro. I am an achievement freak. I dont try to 1000 GS every game, but I do aim for 750+. With ps3 I wont give 2 fucks about trophies, it will only be about singleplayer and unlockables(Just like with ps2). I really want to play ratchet and clank, god of war 3, resistance, uncharted, and the new naughty dog game (Last of Us?). Shit bro with your post I may cave in before november and buy one.

The new price has been hitting the high $30s/low $40s lately, so I suspect the awd prices will go down a bit - cheapest I've seen one for on awd was probably around $40, but I think others have seen cheaper.
 
I have a question amazon put my account on hold and said they need to verify stuff and specialists will contact me within 24 hours they wanted my bank phone number my info and my phone number. What is up with all this? I never had a problem with amazon but the rep would not tell me anything at all. I felt like i was in a dang spy movie or something.

did you get a lot of promo credits (mistakes in shippings) did you return a lot of items



could be a chance they are getting ready to ban you or someone tried to open up a second account in your name

I would call them i would never give them info in a email

I actually i made a second account to sell stuff on just recently and was in a rush to buy ps3 before sold out so did not switch to old account cause i figured it did not matter. I did do amazon mom through so maybe why? I asked a rep long ago and said it was ok to make a 2nd account cause i wanted a sep account just to sell on.

If they cancel the account that is fine i guess... But they would not tell me anything and the order for the ps3 is on hold as well and would not even cancel it for me since i can not even login to that account. They said i had to wait 24 hours for a specialist.

I am thinking maybe since new account they got to verify a large amount order for my first order on it? The rep was so tight lipped it drove me nuts. I hope they are not charging me and not sending the item. I hope that does not happen.

i'm the same way, though i own all 3 systems.

The greatest part of the ps3 is the ability to install a larger harddrive without voiding the warranty. i bought a 120gb about 2 years ago (or 3? i dunno) and since then installed a 250gb 7200rpm drive in it and no regrets.
the 360 is a great gaming system, but xbox live is a rip off IMO and i hardly play with people anymore so single player is my forte'

I understand the awesomeness of all the consoles (even my wii) and highly recommend the ps3 to my friends / family as it's not just a gaming system, but a blu ray player (that will play every blu ray that comes out... not guaranteed on other blu ray players firmwares) media center, as well as a dvd player for those who want to spend 200+ on one. (it upscales also?)

looking to install a larger hardrive on my ps3 now that i got 2 years of ps+ and i only got 80gb which is nearly full already.

any advice where to pick one up for cheap and brand name.

any help would be appreciated
 
I like seagate personally (really really bad experience with WD's warranty in the past) but check Slickdeals for deals on 2.5" sata drives. (i picked mine up from staples)

The Sony Headsets are pretty awesome. Good sound and also feel good. The best thing about them, though is the ease of use. Simply plug the bluetooth dongle in and you are all set. No wires or other hook ups. It allows me to switch between two PS3's extremely easily.

I am still seeing the UC3 CE at local Best Buys for $30. Maybe mine just happen to have more stock than others...

Wow that Atlerier Meruru is so tempting...but alas I'm saving for that 360.

Can anyone answer me this...is Halo: Reach still broken on the 4GB Slim systems? I remember at launch, there was a big issue, because you couldn't play co-op online, firefight, and some multiplayer modes without a 250+ HDD. I tried to ask on GameFaqs, but naturally the 12 year olds over there didn't know the answer...and 4 of them actually sent me PMs that I'm a troll and Haloz iz da best game eva!

I've never heard of this. Even if it needs more than 4 GB, I don't see why you would need 250. It plays fine on my 120GB HDD. I am also pretty sure my son plays Reach online with his friend who just has the 4GB HDD.

yeah i think it still is because if i remove my 250gb harddrive and run it off the 4gb (i bought a 250 off warehouse deals) it won't let me play saying it needs a "real storage device" or something like that.

$32.72 is what I got my "very good" one for. They don't pop up all that often though I don't think.

Now my next question...(sorry to be asking all these here)

Back from my Xbox 360 days, I had a games on demand download for Halo: Reach. Would this even fit on the 4GB system? If not, I have a 16GB USB drive I used to use all the time with my 360, but I'm unsure...can you download and run games off external drives?
 
I know that Halo Reach via games on demand is ~6 gb. So it wont fit. But I'm willing to be you can install it on a 16gb flash drive. Flash drives are the only external storage you can run games off of.
 
Just chiming in on the PS3 discussion, I have all 3 systems - have had my PS3 the longest and picked up the Xbox only very recently, but the PS3 is by far my favorite system. I don't play online much at all so it's perfect for me. Plus it's great for other media as well since it has the bluray player.

Point is, I would buy a used PS3 off AWD for up to $175 - I almost did buy a second one at that price for another room for internet content, but I felt silly doing that and got an Xbox instead.

I'd highly recommend just biting the bullet and picking up a hard drive. Are you simply buying it to play 1 game (Halo Reach)? If so, then that's fine. If not, get some space. Even if you just want Halo, you're going to need space for dlc, the sequel, forge maps, game saves... Halo's pretty beefy!

I broke down and got the collectors version of skyrim for 360 for 50, i figure if i sell the statue and the book, i may end up getting it for free.

damn. that $187 wifi vita is tempting, but if i can just hold out until the holiday season i can probably get a better deal.

It has been fixed for awhile now. While there is going to be lag like all Bestheda games, there are no more game breaking bugs.
 
Skyrim on PS3 is fine now. I would say 97% playable. You're always going to run into things that will be buggy, but that's just the nature of Bethesda games and them using an almost 7 year old game engine.

that is why i will never pick up skyrim. their reputation is horrible. i rather put my money into other games more deserving. it is great if you can deal with those issues, but i for one cannot stand it. UNless bestbuy has it for $5
 
I played Skyrim on ps3, prior to any bug fixes, and I don't regret one second of my 120 hours. Only one minor quest was bugged out for me, and the patch fixed that. I'll deal with occasional freezing for a game that good.

Got mine today and it activated without issue...happy as hell to get a brand new copy of SCII for $20 after the $5 in credit I had.

The only thing that made it "Good" was a little smashed edge of the box, but everything else was brand new and never opened.
 
I would only recommend Skyrim to people who are fans of fetch quests. Or those who want an easy platinum trophy/1000GS. THe main quest is very short, and then the faction quests all (except for one I think) follow the same format. Bethesda lost a lot of points with me when it came to Skyrim. I got the impression that they put so much time and effort into making it pretty and getting people to say "Oooooh dragons!" that they just crossed their fingers that no one would realize they were only using one quest with different character models over and over again.

Good to know. I will look out for Skyrim next time its on sale somewhere or if it pops up on AWD
 
How often do the Playstation 320GB Move Bundles pop up? I saw a couple at one time for $245, and would love that instead of paying $230 for just the 320GB console by itself.

There's actually Move 320GB bundles for $225 fairly frequently. A good price for a 320GB console itself is $204, and I've also seen quite a few VG or G Uncharted 3 bundles at that price.
 
Update. Bought starcraft 2 for $26 good condition. Box was beat up but the box was still sealed and the cd key worked fine. Really happy with awd. My next purchase could be diablo 3 or maybe buy a graphics card from em.

Make sure to buy one from MSI, or a company that is warranty serial number based.

Can't believe I literally just clicked through their entire stock of games, and these "deals" were all I found. Only the fight stick really seems like a good price, but I haven't done much research. This time last week they were putting up some solid items. No such luck tonight.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how they determine pricing? Don't understand why they'll keep putting up some items for great prices even though they sell out instantly, yet others they are asking 2x or more what they're worth :)360:Alan Wake for $60, [NES] Mega Man for $80, etc). Not complaining, just seems silly.

When something is first listed on AWD, it's set as a percentage of the new (sold by amazon) price. It's something like 60-80 percent of the new price, varying by condition.

If there's no new items in stock sold by amazon, that's when the pricing gets a bit wacky and arbitrary. My guess is that they use the used marketplace sales as a reference point for listing those.

Not surprising you didn't find much right now. You'll find the best deals right when they update new listings.
