F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

I figured i laugh when someone else gets these attacks by stupidity but nope just sad. Go Go gadget buzzsaw.
Damn that was gone fast.
Not worth it at any price. I've spent maybe 3 hours and shoved it into my backlog, faster than Double Dash.

Really? I've heard good things. The only games I have for 3ds are Fire Emblem and Resident Evil. I need something more pick up and play quick.

Super Mario 3D Land or NSMB2, if you're into platformers, works well for short bursts.

Ignore him. It's a great game.
7 is a great game. Double Dash!! is still the best, though.
Mario Kart on the SNES is the best. The battle mode is what made it awesome. I hated double dash with those unneeded stats. It just needs to stay a simple game as that is what it is supposed to be.

Saw SimCity for $36 (used-VG), two were available. I had amazon credit so only paid $9.12 out of pocket... even though it has issues currently, im sure they'll be fixed soon. Id been wanting this game pretty bad :whistle2:# Plus hopefully now ill be qualified for whatever this "free EA game" is if i login before the 18th.
Damn the 3rd party seller idiots that post their used tomb raiders game on the collector edition's listing
I know! I got pumped thinking there was a cheap AWD one, only to see it was just some phonies listing it.
Controversial! I think 7 is a better game
My last comment on this off-topic conversation: Kids these days. Mario Kart DS is clearly the best, followed closely by Super Mario Kart for the SNES and Mario Kart: Super Circuit (GBA).

A few days ago, a God of War Ascension Legacy 500GB PS3 Bundle popped up as a Like New pre-order for about 250. I ordered it on Sunday and it just got canceled on me. :whistle2:(

I had never seen an AWD pre-order before. Too good to be true I guess.

I wonder, though; does Origin work the same way Steamworks does? My copy of the game is digital, so I don't know if it's like Civ V for retail copies, where you have to register the key to your account. If it is, would an AWD copy of the game even be useful?

Couldn't disagree more. I've enjoyed this the most out of any MK I've played.

Regardless, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed is better...assuming they did a good job on the 3DS version that is.

Watch the giantbomb quick look of the 3ds version. Apparently it's awful.

That's sad news.

At least one of the portable versions turned out well I guess.

Tomb Raider CE was available from AWD as a pre-order, although it didn't last long.

I wish I didn't miss that.

How much was it going for?

Reading this thread almost daily reminds me how it's nuts how much Black Friday pressures retailers to drop games as loss leaders. I bought six of the $25 games from Amazon (BL2, Madden 13, X-COM, Dishonored, 2K13, and WWE 13), and I'm still not seeing the prices on those games used near those new prices. It helps to have a little cash around Black Friday and the time to sit on Amazon, obviously.

For an on-topic question: Does the AC3 steelbook have any resale value? Is it good enough to justify an extra $7 or so?

Yeah, I regret not picking up Dishonored on BF. I just figured it would sit in my backlog until that price point rolled around again.
Now I have to stalk that page in case that comes back.
Problem is, one CAG who bought it got it totally destroyed. I think that was DealSeaker2U, and another got a pristine one. Pretty bad quality checks.

I'm willing to risk it.

Amazon pays return shipping anyway if that happens, right?

It was $18.xx here at the warehouse around that time and I had couple of chances to score it and I didn't. I am still clawing through my backlog or else I would have been kicking myself for missing out on a deal that has yet to repeat itself since.

Yeah I got the one with the tin box destroyed and idd0tt got the one with just a few dings on the tin box. The only 2 people who got it minus any lurkers that I am aware of.

Mine

Yes they do.

Happy to have had purchased Dishonored and XCOM Enemy Unknown for $25 each at Black Friday. Very satisfied. These games don't get the credit they rightly deserved.

lol, I would say both of those games were critically very well received!

Also the fact that Dishonored is now considered a "franchise title" and both titles were in nearly every gaming website's top 10 then yeah, I'd it's got the recognition it deserves.

I have never had an Origin account before, so I guess we shall see what happens when it comes in. Ive never bought a "used" pc game before, so Im not quite sure how it works since usually pc games are basically just a cd-key. Ill keep you posted!

Well I just found out Series 2 Skylanders are backwards compatible with the original portal so I bought a Good Stump Smash for $4.
