F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

And you're on a videogame shopping forum why?

You could also get the physical copy free by stealing it from the store.

I remember seeing it this morning for $207.XX.

avoid that bundle, a few posters reported it being damage/incorrect condition, when they purchased it recently.

I thought about getting rid of my 160 gig model and getting the god of war bundle.

Maybe I should just buy a new one.

This. I have more respect for shoplifters than scumbag pirates.

Buying used consoles always makes me nervous. I've heard good things from people who purchased from Cowboom, but still usually I just go for a new one and avoid any potential problems that way.

yeah, that is how i feel about used things in general. Even when it comes used games sometimes. The only thing i have no problem buying are used textbooks. LOL

Unless its a retro console, I always try and buy my consoles brand new. Games I'm fairly lenient with, especially when it's a trusted seller like AWD or has pictures of it such as on Ebay.

Textbooks I could care less about, as long as I can use it, I don't care what it looks like as long as its as cheap as possible lol

amazon warehouse has gone downhill in this past year. some of the liked-new condition games i ordered came with scratches/ dust built up like games from gamestop. i do not even trust them anymore.
It's cheaper by third party sellers. Even better if you're required to pay sales tax to Amazon.
I would pay the extra $6-7 for Amazon's return policy if need be for this if I wanted it. Much better in my eyes.
Is there a single played mode for Phantasy Star Online, or is it all MP based?
There's a SP mode - but all the fun is in the MP. The GCN version of EpsI&II is one of my top ten games of all time. I messed around with the offline portion occasionally; but the game is meant to be played with others.

You got me really excited - but I don't see a copy at the Warehouse.

There was an Xbox copy of I&II this morning. Somebody probably ganked it already.

Ah, watch out - I actually think the Xbox version DOES require you to be online - not sure if it still works; probably not.

Is Donkey Kong County Returns a fair price at 15.97? I'd really like to add it to my Wii collection, but might hold off if I can get it a little cheaper.

Definitely bite. Consistently around 20+ on AWD. The only place I could find a decent price for it was Blockbuster, and even there it was 15.
You could get it for free if you play it on an emulator...just sayin
I used to do that, but I think it's better to have the physical version so you can trade and battle online, and so you can play w/ friends.

You have to have an Xbox Live profile but you don't need to be online. So if your profile is still on your old Xbox you can play single player but if it isnt there is no way to get one now.
Is eternal sonata for the PS3 high in demand now?
The PS3 Version is pretty hard to find in Retail Stores. So once someone sees it for cheap on AWD, they'll probably pick it up.

Yeah, and you need to be careful who the 3rd party seller is. Amazon.com gives you LN when it says LN. Usually you'll get good/possibly non-complete, when you use a 3rd party seller. I only purchase 3rd party if my OCD isn't acting up or it's too good of a deal.
Amazon.com gives you LN when it says LN.
Amazon.com does not sell LN.

Anyway, the condition of one third party seller was quite clear and it was not LN and the one sold by Warehouse Deals also was not LN.

You've got this:

Used - Good

Includes platinum system, platinum controller, power cord, av cables, Mario Kart Double Dash game disk only (no manual or case), gamecube manuals, and original box with artwork sleeve. All contents are in very nice condition. System, game, and controller are in excellent working condition. Tight controls and system cover opens/ closes nicely.

$103.94 total

vs this:

Used - Good
Includes manual, cover art, and case. Full game is included, but bonus downloadable content may have already been redeemed. Clear external signs of wear or damage to the packaging or instructions may be present. Game may have identification markings from its previous owner.

$109.04 + tax

I understand that some people would choose the speed and return policy, but the lower price one in this case seems to be the better item.
Amazon.com does not sell LN.
What do you mean amazon.com does not sell LN? If you mean "Amazon" doesn't then that is true, but Warehouse Deals, which is a subset of amazon most certainly does.

Seller: Amazon.com. Amazon.com does not sell LN.

Amazon also treats Warehouse Deals as a third party seller and it does not take responsibility for it any more than any other Fulfilled by Amazon seller.

If smallsharkbigbite's post was referring to Warehouse Deals, which was not even said, then that also would not be a correct statement. Warehouse Deals has been known to mess up grading.

I do not buy stuff that often from warehouse deals, but the two times I have and had an issue they have taken responsibility for it and fixed the issue.

1) Bought a 32GB Vita card, they sent me a 4GB one instead, they sold me a brand new 32GB card for the same price as the used one on warehouse deals.

2) Recently bought a 32GB MicroSD card, it did not work, was corrupted. Called up amazon. They sold me a similar one, same size and class speed but a different brand for the same price as the one I originally bought.

I do understand what you're saying, that generally speaking amazon considers them a 3rd party seller, but whenever they tell me that I point them to all the logos saying it is "Amazon Warehouse Deals" and is being represented as a part of amazon and not some random person/other company selling on their site.

Dude, you got lucky on those cards. I usually get told to order the same item again from the same seller.

You should have seen one representative. He kept trying to avoid admitting that Warehouse Deals is affiliated and when he did, it was a total shut down.

Warehouse Deals unfortunately is not excluded from the mishaps of being a seller other than Amazon.com and some graders just don't care, so we should take that into account and not just say that their vaguely described item is superior to another item that is in good condition and for less money.

I'm just saying.
