Amazon has some great warehouse deals, and most of their used games are in like new condition (condition listed can be acceptable, good, very good, like new, or new). Please post specific deals you find via Warehouse deals in this thread. Check latest posts for the newest deals, or click the link below.

WIKI: It seems people had a few suggestions from the last thread in terms of updating the OP. I've changed a few things, but if there is anything else you want to change, feel free to do so.

F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What states does Amazon charge sales tax?
Items sold by Amazon.com LLC, or its subsidiaries, and shipped to destinations in the following states are subject to tax:

Arizona
California
Connecticut

Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Massachusetts
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Pennsylvania
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
Washington
West Virginia
Wisconsin

Note: No sales tax is charged when purchasing gift cards; however, purchases paid for with gift cards may be subject to tax.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

So you bought a cheap PS4 off AWD knowing full well it could be a trade in, and you are going to try to get a free controller and "extra" because the controller has minor cosmetic damage and the $1 headset is missing? Wow...
Cheap? How is $368 after tax cheap when I could have spent $50 more for a brand new one.

Well here is to hoping for a :360: Titanfall and a :vita: Borderlands 2 Bundle to come up(once it's released tomorrow haha)! I am ready!

Na I just want what I paid for.

Do PS4's run with noise or is that just when you load a disc? Also, are they supposed to get hot on the top right? Mine is warm, not hot, but you can definitely feel the heat as opposed to the XBOne which is completely cold.
No, if you bought it brand new and it came missing something, then yes you'd be entitled to what you paid for. You got it at a discounted price...probably $100 saved if not more.

You're missing the headset..it's a cheap piece of crap with one earbud and you can't even hear out of it. Just be honest, if you're trying to scam let us know and quit playing the victim card. This site is like SD more and more every day. At least over there they have the balls to say what they're doing. If you wanna do that crap, go over there. You'll get imaginary internet points and a pat on the back for being a parasite.

EDIT: I see you paid $368 for the ps4...why would you not pay $50 more to get it brand new? Full warranty and all.

And I wasn't meaning to single you out Keef. We see this so much on here, I see you post a lot and you finally got your ps4, to see that it just brings back the curious George guy who always brags about scamming.

true that not cheap but awd is used stuff and there been plenty of like new for $296 just have to be patient. And like you said $50 more could get you a new one so maybe that the best route to take then.

The headset is a mono earpiece with an inline mic. It's dollar store trash. You're better off without it. They just saved you the trouble of picking it up, walking to you garbage an, and throwing it away.

Some stick on a used controller's buttons isn't surprising. Try a blast of compressed air or a q-tip soaked in a bit if rubbing alcohol. There's probably just a bit of packing material or some soluble cruft in there. The DS4 is pretty rugged, in my experience, so if be surprised if the trigger was actually sticking from overuse or wear when traded with a still-pretty-new system.

So this is a rather long story, but all this PS4 talk reminded me of about the time when I was hunting down another PS4 after returning the one I got from AWD. (Which came complete, and in pretty good shape. Just had some sort of weird rattling sound coming out of it, I'm assuming a loose screw inside but didn't want to take any chances.)

Anyways my hunt lead me to eBay. I had a 10% Coupon, and sadly missed the $400 NewEgg eBay listing for a new one just by a mere couple of days. (Since I was waiting for the AWD PS4.)

Ultimately found one that sounded pretty decent. Guy didn't list a picture though, but made it sound pretty good.

Listing's description:

Console is a month old and it comes with all original packaging and cords. Selling this at retail and you will be getting an extra controller, so a total of 2 and you will be getting two games, FIFA 14 and Call of Duty Ghosts. You are pretty much getting two games and a controller for free. More photos available upon request.

He had listed it for a BIN of $400 and $9.50 shipping. After the coupon I figured it would be a pretty decent deal for a "month" old PS4. Before I pulled the trigger though, I asked him if he could upload a photo or two, I knew this delay could probably cost me the auction, but I wanted to make sure of what I would be buying. (He only had 6 feedback.)

In the end, he took 3 days to respond and by then I had long since forgotten about that PS4. Plus, apparently the listing had ended (presumably someone purchased it.). So it took me by surprise when I received a message from the seller.

Message:

PS4 is just a little dirty and dusty, just don't want to clean it.. Everything works fine. Left side of PS4 shows some wear, but nothing that won't wipe off.

TfqY5l6.png

Alright, cool. But, what does he mean by "don't want to clean it" ?

HOLY SHIT WHAT THE F?!?

So after seeing that, I didn't even bother replying. Decided to purchase a brand new one from Best Buy and get myself some points towards Elite.

or to cover costs of free credit being given out lately
haha yeah. Might get flamed for this but oh well. My last VG PS4 came with a European cord so I asked if there was a replacement available and the CS via chat just gave me a $25 credit. So I only ended up paying $250 for a VG console (no original box, some scratches, all accessories provided) and found a cord for $4 locally. Can't complain at all.

no cause that is a legimate complaint and console power cords can be expensive sometime. Complaining about something that works but just don't work as if it was factory new is a different story completely

How did you stress test the console to make sure it worked aside from playing a game?

I've turned it off and on about 10 times just to make sure it starts up properly every time. I watched a 2-hr Blu which was perfect and during the time it didn't make any noises and the top right was slightly warm which is probably expected. I just won't have a game until tomorrow.

Just ordered a PS4 from PhoenixTech USA while looking for Warehouse deals.

Says it doesn't come with a controller or AV cable, just console and power cord.

Should I just cancel?

Depends on how much it was. Controllers are anywhere from $40 - $60 and the power cord for a ps4 is pretty cheap (I believe it is the same cord that is in the PS3, Vita, and PS4).

Well for a change a couple AWD items worked out.  $26 WiiU Pro controller that was damaged packaging, came in with no packaging in a plastic bag but with the right USB cable and everything on it looks right.  The $25 Xbone Trials was indeed a dinger, top of the case was crushed but the code worked.

Also I'm watching Giada at Home right now.

Theres a Nyko power cord at Gamestop for $5. Works on PS3 Slims and Vitas. Used one when i forgot my ps4 power cord. The GS employee was hesitate because it didnt say it supported PS4

Fortunately my laptop adapter power cord fit (non-polarized two prong) so I tested it with a couple games and a bluray to make sure it worked on day one. It was difficult to find a non-polarized one locally so I ended up asking the shop that fixed my PS3 if they had any spares and they sold one to me for $4. The other choices were mainly online or a 45 min drive away. The shop was my last solution then I would have gone online and would have had to wait a week to get the cord.

So no signs of heating or anything to be worried about? I'm only asking because the one I got is actually pretty decent looking and it was a VG like you described. I'd rather keep it then go through the hassle of returning it.

Nope, even didn't have that start up grounding noise that I've heard on other PS4's bluray drive. It was very quiet. I ran Infamous SS and the opening half hour of Casino Royale before I ended up trading it in at GS. If I had more time, I probably would have watched an entire movie and gone a couple hours on a game to double check. I knew I probably wasn't going to keep it so I did the minimum.

If you've been tracking the PS4 activities from others, it's been reported that if it does take a dump in a couple weeks, you could contact Sony for a coffin. As I recall, those have posted success even with an AWD receipt/invoice although it did take some time to get their PS4 back.

Oh, one more thing. On those units that I had returned, neither worked out of the box. One VG had the BLOD (continuous pulsing blue light) and the other LN one just turned on and then turned off immediately (blue then white light then shutdown).

Thanks for this.

Mine shown no problems out the box (good sign I guess), but I plan on doing some extensive gaming when The Show drops tomorrow.

Decided to take a chance on a Pokemon Stadium that is said to come with box and manual. Hopefully it does as $25 would be a good price for a complete copy.

I was one that had a BLOD from AMZ (a not for sale one too) and none of the fixes worked. I sent it in with AWD receipt and they fixed it free of charge.

I played the lord of the rings extended cut on it. All 3 movies on blu ray straight. Over 10hrs it was I think. Than the next day got a ps4 game & played it for 3hrs than left it running a while after. Played some ps plus games on it. Got hot a little but no different than from my ps3 slim. No weird noises or crashes.

Yeah I don't play a TON of games, but my girlfriend have absolutely no say about what I buy or how often I want to play. Then again, she's rad and doesn't care, which is why she's still around. :p

It's either the games or her. If she can't get with the program, well then there obviously is no room for her.
You think if he divorces his wife of 20 years, he's keeping the games? LAWL. A divorce attorney will see otherwise because she's either getting them and throwing them out, or he's getting them and selling them to pay for the attorney.

She only rolled her eyes because we already have one and it's mostly used as a netflix player. My wife is a gamer herself. I never would've spent my life with a person who didn't support me in my hobbies or interests.

Who said anything about a divorce? There are guys that will require payment half up front and half after it's done. I'M JUST SAYING.
