Amazon has some great warehouse deals, and most of their used games are in like new condition (condition listed can be acceptable, good, very good, like new, or new). Please post specific deals you find via Warehouse deals in this thread. Check latest posts for the newest deals, or click the link below.

WIKI: It seems people had a few suggestions from the last thread in terms of updating the OP. I've changed a few things, but if there is anything else you want to change, feel free to do so.

F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What states does Amazon charge sales tax?
Items sold by Amazon.com LLC, or its subsidiaries, and shipped to destinations in the following states are subject to tax:

Arizona
California
Connecticut

Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Massachusetts
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Pennsylvania
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
Washington
West Virginia
Wisconsin

Note: No sales tax is charged when purchasing gift cards; however, purchases paid for with gift cards may be subject to tax.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

$397!? On Gamestop's featured trade in value page I see it for $344 (promotional trade in value)
tv_values_2.gif

Then again, that's still a ~$53 difference, which definitely does not equate to 10%... :whistle2:k

With the 50% extra do you just have to trade in the system? If that's true then $397 makes more sense now:

-System $344.5

-Dualshock 4 $39

-micro USB charge cable $2.60

-PS4 wired headset $3.25

I don't know, I'm half awake right now  :D/

When I traded in my Not For Sale PS4 towards a new PS4 back during the extra 50% promo, I had to trade in everything except for the earpiece. The earpiece (as said a couple posts ago) will get you a few bucks. So we're still shy of that $397 mark.

And it's also good to note that most states (but not all) will charge you tax even if you're using GameStop credit on a purchase which will leave you still paying about $20. Then again, $20 sure ain't bad when it comes to trading in a used, untrustworthy PS4 for a new one. I jumped on it when I could.

I knew we'd catch someone again.....

@R4L and anyone else: Base is $265 plus whatever promo you apply. Apply the "30% promo towards select items", you get $344.xx as their published values noted. Apply the "system towards PS4/X1", you get $397.50.

EDIT: you only get 30% on hardware, no 10% PUR bonus so the table calc is correct at 30% bonus = 344.xx

$265 * 0.4 = $106

$265 + $106 = $371, not $344.xx

:???:

Would it be worth it to trade in my loud launch unit for a new one and extend the warranty till this time next year id end up paying 30$ for a new ps4?

wow that's awesome! In the end I'd be paying around $290 for a new PS4...hmm...

By the way, to make math easier for you guys, just multiply by 1.5 to get the total. :)
Oh, I'm aware of that. I took more steps to benefit the more...mathematically-challenged.

The value on Gamestop's site is with a 30% bonus, not a 40% one. This is because the promotion is 40% (with PUR Pro), but that doesn't work on systems.
Thanks, that mystery's solved. It didn't help that GS neglected to mention the PUR Pro aspect in that banner.

PS4 Headset - 2.50
X1 Headset - 6.50

Looks like the PS4 headset went down by 1?

Still pretty awesome:

265 + %50 = 397.50 + 2.50(2.75 if PUR) = 400(.25) = no tax for a new PS4 (If your state allows it.)

And you get to keep a penny (Or. 26)!

Edited my post above.  You don't get the full 40% as you don't get the extra 10% on hardware trade ins,  So using the "trade in select games" promo will only net you the posted $344.xx.  Sorry for the confusion.

So has anyone traded their ps4 for $400 yet?
ask in the GS thread. Someone just posted confirming the $265 base but not sure if that was a phone/verbal quote or if they actually turned in a PS4. I have a AWD PS4 in hand to be delivered today, but I'm not sure if I'll have time to get it fully checked and to GS tonight. I'll post if I do later tonight.

For a sec I thought I was in GS thread. Looks like ps4 flipmania is back. That is all fine and dandy, but do me a favor guys (for those who haven't already) and post the trade in values in JP's (GS TIV) thread so he can keep it up to date.

Thanks!

P.S. This is for all of those who take everything at face value concerning GS's trade in values on the website. The values on GS's site ALWAYS include the promo they are currently running on top of the BASE value so it does not mean that is what you will get. ALWAYS, figure the base value out and then apply the promo % to that base to figure out what you will get. Use common sense and read further than the first line to get the full extent of the current promo.

Thanks again!

DS2U if you see another one of those Nyko Power Grips for the Vita 2000 pop up I've been looking for one since the first one I tried to order a couple weeks back got cancelled.
I have a feeling you will probably beat me to the punch but I will keep an eye out nevertheless and post it if I see it.

TBH, these are still available in most places and I wonder if they just mass produced these to the point of oversaturating the market. Gamestop just recently dropped the price on these. I'm surprised at how the price of this game has not dropped to at least $40 MSRP yet. I guess the cult following for this game really did it some service with sales. I'm holding out for a better price on the vanilla version. The cartman toy is intriguing, but it doesnt justify the additional monies to put up for it IMHO. I guess I'm not that into South Park.
Honestly, it was just a really, really good game. The delays were for all the right reasons too, since they seemed to actually use the time to make the game better. It's kind of crazy how rare that is to see these days. Instead of just releasing a buggy, broken piece of shit that they could just patch along the way, they delayed release, fixed issues, and kept adding to the story. It may be a surprise to many, but Stick of Truth is a great example of game making done right.

I haven't just even kept AWD open in like two weeks. If I'm checking once a day that's a lot lately. It's sad.
Yeah, looks like it will be a while before things go back down or to the way they were overall. Get comfy and in the meantime enjoy the other threads, and summer deals, and games, and pile on credit for when things do get better. Welcome to dog days of summer!

Meanwhile I will post any finds during my time in between here including what you are looking for.

Has anyone received a PS4 with this description and it have the BLOD? Doesn't sound like it, but it also doesn't sound like a dinger and I know Amazon likes to put BLODs back in the system.

"Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item has been tested to be fully functional. Item will come repackaged. Small (less than 1/4" x 1/4") cosmetic imperfection on front of item. Small (less than 1/4" x 1/4") cosmetic imperfection on top of item. Small (less than 1/4" x 1/4") cosmetic imperfection on the sides of item. Small (less than 1/4" x 1/4") cosmetic imperfection on back of item. All accessories are present and undamaged."

IIRC Some people have reported BLOD even if it says "Tested to be fully functional."

Amazon shipped off my game from AWD with my toilet paper from my subscribe and save program.... fuck, the box the toilet paper comes in is always beat to hell.

the damage they are referring to is on the box.

After almost biting on a vita slim due to a bunch of credit at BB, I did a lot of research and the regular seems a better fit for me. That, and I've already got a case, grips, P4G screen protector, etc. and everyone gives a slight nod to the OLED.

I may just pickup borderlands used with the bday coupon
The folks who favor the OLED probably haven't ever handled a slim. The LCD's better in many respects. I owned an original, bought a slim, and consider the LCD a pretty significant upgrade.

My only recent highlight of AWD was snagging a FFX HD Vita (A) for 17.xx and it included the X-2 code, unused. This drought is serious business.

Got my LN Skylanders Empire of ice today. It had packaging may be damaged in the description and it was. The back was missing but the clamshell was taped over and everything is still brand new with the trading cards. Can't complain for $6.

A bit of an off-topic question myself. (Sorry)

Does anyone in here not recognize a HandHeld system as a console? I was just on a different forums site where they don't recognize the 3DS as a console they only recognize it as a handheld. Do you think they're completely different from each other? From what I've searched on Google, Wikipedia and some other website's recognize it as both.

Anyways, here's the discussion.

Them:

the 3ds is not a console its a handheld and now where near the charts to being a console. As for games E3 is next week so a lot will be shown off. Quite frankly I stopped caring for BC a long time ago. I simply kept my ps3 with my ps4 and they sit right next to each other. Problem solved.
Me:

How is it not it's own console? They all play games, the only difference is that one happens to be mobile/played on the go and the other isn't. System, Console, Platform etc. Are all terms that basically mean the same thing. The only difference is that 'a' Video Game Console needs the ability to output a video single via a TV. Where on the Handheld Game console it has everything built in. They have their differences but they also have their similarities. Then you also have everywhere else on the internet that recognizes handheld's as a console in itself.
And, this is where I stopped.

Them:

you show me 4 major sites that recognize the 3ds as console and not a handheld and not in the handheld market ill take it back. and I mean a major site not a fan side. Its a handheld and its treated as such on the market. I can not for the life of me think of one store or sale that refers to it as a console. Maybe younger generation gaming fans refer to anything that can play a game as a console these days.

They're literally "handheld consoles". How can it just be a "handheld"? handheld what?

next-gen systems are less 'console' than handhelds; they're inching closer and closer to HTPC/set-top box territory.

No idea.

Apparently, to them they are just a handheld. Nothing more and nothing less. Pretty much because they have their own market/target audience. I recognize them as both. Because in they end they both happen to play videos games, where the only difference is that the video games consoles need a TV/Monitor to output the video signal. Where as on the HandHeld console everything happens to be built in.

HTPC? I know what a set-top box is though. (Have a few Roku's)

Home Theater PC. Basically just a general purpose entertainment PC

3ds is considered "handheld system" per Nintendo themselves but in retail world it is often times than not referred to as "handheld console". It is handheld something (device, console, system, etc) but not solely listed as just a handheld.

I'm gonna try tonight or tomorrow, I called and they told me $397 was correct
Granted the base value holds. Last time this promo was active, the base value dropped from $275 to $265 (midweek) where it has held since. Don't wait too long to capitalize on it.
