F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

What is AmazonSmile?

About AmazonSmile

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Worth it to me at least since I will be trading in the game (nearly making it close to $10 or $15 for extras) and picking it up on the cheap down the road (while keeping the extras) and they did have bunch of dingers.

Guess I'll snag a Good one since they say Factory Sealed and medium wrinkle

I think Ill get a Watch Dogs and then I can trade the game in next week with 50% bonus at gamestop to recoup a good portion of the monies spent. Anyone thinking about ordering one just  for the statue? (im a steelbook collector lol)

I think MK8 is plenty enough to keep it for. ;)

It is looking like a bad holiday season for new releases for Nintendo. Really can't believe they're going into the holidays with this as their whole release calendar for both systems:

  • 9/16 - THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY CURTAIN CALL
    Nintendo 3DS
  • 9/26 - Hyrule Warriors
    Wii U
  • 10/3 - Super Smash Bros.
    Nintendo 3DS
  • 10/5 - Skylanders Trap Team
    Wii and Wii U
  • October 2014 - Pokémon Art Academy
    Nintendo 3DS
  • October 2014 - Fantasy Life
    Nintendo 3DS
  • October 2014 - Bayonetta 2
    Wii U
  • October 2014 - Just Dance 2015
    Wii U
  • 11/14 - Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal
    Nintendo 3DS
  • 11/18 - Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric
    Wii U
  • November 2014 - Pokémon Omega Ruby
    Nintendo 3DS
  • November 2014 - Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
    Nintendo 3DS
  • Winter 2014 - Super Smash Bros.
    Wii U
  • Holiday 2014 - Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
    Wii U

There's barely any third party stuff on WiiU either. Going to a very gloomy holiday.

Yeah, mine's still scheduled for the 19th but hasn't budged yet while stuff that's scheduled for the 20th is in preparing to ship.
There is also NES Remix physical release for Wii U set for this holidays. There's plenty there for me on Wii U with Smash, Bayo 2, Hyrule Warriors, and Captain Toads.

That said, the 3DS is what disapoints me. Maybe I wad spoiled by the lineup last year??

Neone know how much the TIV will be at Gamestop next week?

I wonder if they will tank the TIV (how much is it now?)

Looks to be $25 now (so would be about $40 if the trade value holds with the 50%+10%pur coupons they've handed out that start net week)

So Im thinking roughly $10-15 for the extras if it works out

son of a...I bought one of those Watch Dogs LE's at $83.xx a couple months back :wall:.  I traded the game disc only for $45 so the extras were about $38, but stilll...damn.

Kinda wanna order a second one now...

Would this be a dinger?

Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Packaging may be damaged.

what coupons?!
every time you purchased something at GameStop you should of received a card for 50% trade in bonus they been handing them out about a month now. But a lot stores ran out the first week and other stores simply forget to hand them out or didn't get any in. They are valid starting the 25th I believe and today was the last day to get one

wewowoweow

Is there even any DLC included in the WD LE?

I'm considering getting an XBO copy if I can find one cheap for the steelbook and soundtrack mainly. (reminds me, I need to play more of WD :p  PvZ has been getting 90% of my attention recently on both systems)

In GS trade in value thread folks are willing to offer free coupons when the time comes. Plus, everyone is hoping the value holds, until that time that is not a given that they will remain the same.

Also, GS e-mailed a free coupon to PUR members as well so check your e-mail / junk folder for an e-mail from GS on August 12th titled "Your Exclusive Summer Sale code from GameStop.com". It has a free code in it as well.

Amazon's way of saying that the item may have been opened for whatever reason and as such resealed / re-shrink wrapped thereafter.

I will hook you up with one if you need it. Still a week away from the promo so no worries. Make the best of it since that will be the last promo that we know of as GS is getting rid of all promos outside of preorder 30% incentive as they overhaul the trade in program starting tomorrow.

Sounds good. Thanks

there isn't any extra gaming content in the Watch Dogs CE - just steelbook, art book, rapey-vibe balaclava (sic) and cheap statue of the most boring gaming protagonist since Connor from Assassins Creed 3.  It will trade in well after you finish for now, but if you just want the game you can get it at Sams Club this week in store for $29.99 for ps4/xbone.

There is about an hour long extra single player DLC mission that is included exclusively in the PS4 version (normal or LE), its a PSN code printed on the inside sleeve.

I played through about 1/3'd of the story mission and traded it in, was a pretty boring game that just felt unfinished, sorta like AC1.  I'm sure it'll get better in WD2, just like AC2 was a huge improvement.  I figure I'll revisit the game when the story DLC is released this fall, and probably play it on PC if modders upgrade the game.

Anyone thought about or have the Amazon visa store card?

got a promo for $70 gc for applying and getting approved. No minimum purchase or requirement for card...

I've got it. 3% back is pretty solid on Amazon purchases. Only store card I know that's better is Target with it's 5% on store purchases.

I've had the amazon card for 2 years now. I use it for everything I can and get about 15-20 dollars a month to amazon. Pretty solid

Good call, or wait for the inevitable Game of the Year edition with all the DLC.

I love the card, in the 8 months I've had it, I have averaged almost $40 a month in points.

Too bad my wife keeps spending them on stuff she wants.
