Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?

They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?

Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?

Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?

In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?

Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

AWD product description says "Factory Sealed", is this item new?

First and foremost, AWD sells used / open box items so in their terms it has been sealed / resealed at an Amazon Warehouse and hence the "Factory Sealed" part so no it isn't necessarily new. It isn't necessarily new because it could go one of two ways:

1. It was traded in / open box return / test unit that was resealed at an Amazon warehouse facility.
2. It was a dinger (new with damaged packaging and with seals intact).

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?

First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

I didn't even bother contacting Sony. I called Amazon and talked to them. Got the return label processed and then threw a couple calm complaints about how it's kind of a shitty ordeal since there were multiples up and have been up for the that price point. Told them it seemed a bit unfair that just because I got the package I did, I'm SOL and out of getting a good deal on a PS4. He then turns around and says, "When you are refunded give us a call and we will honor the price you paid on another PS4 in similar condition or new." Should be interesting to see how that works out.

He put a note on my account and I have his name. I sent the system back today. They said it should only be a week. Worst case scenario they give me crap when I call and I can just argue the point and threaten to file a BBB complaint.

I ordered a game yesterday that has an expected delivery set for Wednesday. Still preparing for shipment. It's a minor annoyance when compared to the usual Amazon turnaround.

Welp. I got my very good PS4 today (cosmetically it looked great) and it worked for a little while, then I went to update it and it froze. Pressed back and it went to the PSN account creation screen, but my console froze. Did a hard reset, now I get this error and can't even go into safe mode:

"Cannot start the PS4

Cannot access system storage

Press the power button for 1 second (until the system beeps) to turn off the PS4

(CE-34335-8)"

Plan to ship it back tomorrow for a refund. I actually saw another PS4 system for Like New from the Warehouse that I bought. Description says DLC codes may be missing, but it's "factory sealed". No scratches or anything. Last chance Amazon Warehouse. I better be playing Bloodborne by the end of this month with no issues.

I know that flights were canceled out of Memphis last night.. With all the snow back east i assume that many packages are getting delayed due to weather right now.

I would also assume that Amazon has some "weather/disaster/etc" clause.

In the last two years i've had Prime, maybe 1-2 times my orders didn't arrive in the two days. I've never complained to get the extension though. The last one was just a few weeks ago, UPS had their plane grounded for 2 days.. Amazon and UPS both sent me emails apologizing for the delay, I just deleted them without really reading them. Not going to complain about a pilot not risking his life to deliver my package on time. (and catch Hell from the FAA)

Pretty sure they switched from DRI to using Amazon for their backend so you use Amazon payments I'd that's the case and I believe someone mentioned that Prime shipping worked on their site now too.

They have a little package that they give you when you are moving so you can change your address - most places just have these packets in their lobby, but if you're in a big city you probably have to ask a clerk for one and they might try to give you a little bit of a hard time. The lady here asks what the zip code is to see if you're lying to her. Yay Los Angeles.

Go to you local USPS station and get a movers packet. It has a BB coupon that takes 10% off your purchase. Some are online and in store and some are in store only. I haven't gotten one in a while so I'm not sure which one is out now.

It's not a charge to stop you from getting the free coupons, it's to stop fraudulent change of address requests.

Just FYI, every post office has a camera system in there aimed at the counters. you are on camera while you do business there. Only Postal Inspectors can view it.. so no your local USPS employees can't watch it back and laugh at you etc. Not even management can view it.

prior to the online fee, anyone could change the address of anyone they wanted.. now at least online there is a trail to follow. In office, most people that want to commit identity theft do not want to be on camera. The reasons the clerks ask the questions.. is ID theft prevention. Although minimal.. you'd be surprised how effective it actually is. ID theft via the COA's have dropped big time since that $1 fee. (last I heard it was $1.. who knows if it has changed)

Always going to be YMMV on something like that but I've ordered a couple that were in great shape including the phone I had used for 18 months. That was back when the descriptions were a little more reliable though.

I decided to say screw it and canceled my order of Amazon. They were getting close to shipping it, but I canceled late last night and the cancel processed immediately.

I noticed Dell had a new $399 TLoU bundle with a $50 eGift Card, so I just picked that up. Solid deal and I get a 1 year warranty.

After having bad experiences with a used PS2 and PS4, I doubt I'll ever buy a used console again. I've had good experiences with buying used 3DSs though, so I think I'll be more lenient with handhelds.

On that subject no idea if amazon na will do it but amazon eu has tales of graces and symphonia bundled for 20$ apparently for those interested. Wonder if any of those will end up here since I can't imagine amazon will ship the games together properly without one or the other getting crushed.

Yep they use amazon now though digital river was great when I ordered graces from them for 20 2 years ago. Arrived faster than my prime stuff and in the same type of box. You can't pay with amazon credit but you can use your prime as I ordered hearts r last year. Also interesting coincidence.
