F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

What is AmazonSmile?

About AmazonSmile

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky

Maryland

Massachusetts
Nevada
New Jersey

Note: No sales tax is charged when purchasing gift cards; however, purchases paid for with gift cards may be subject to tax.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

AWD product description says "Factory Sealed", is this item new?
First and foremost, AWD sells used / open box items so in their terms it has been sealed / resealed at an Amazon Warehouse and hence the "Factory Sealed" part so no it isn't necessarily new. It isn't necessarily new because it could go one of two ways:

1. It was traded in / open box return / test unit that was resealed at an Amazon warehouse facility.
2. It was a dinger (new with damaged packaging and with seals intact).

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Damn missed the Persona Q

I've noticed that if a listing says "Factory sealed" at the end of the description, it tends to actually be factory sealed. It seems like they just copy paste, then add additional info at the end. I'm pretty certain my loot chests and Destiny CE were all factory sealed.

Used - Acceptable

Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item may come repackaged. Factory Sealed. Large cut / scratch on Cover Art. « Show less

What does the Large cut/scratch on cover art mean on a xbox one bundle?
I cant answer that, but I kinda asked a similar question(see self quote below) about the dark souls 2 ce that no one answered, and the boxes arrived factory sealed, the corners on one ( I order 2) were a little bent, and on one the plastic window infront of the statue/figure was "cut" but the contents were in mint, unused condition, the dlc werent used since the game is still factory shrink wrapped, the steelbook had no bends, dents or damage, the artbook and figure were fine. Im still learning the awd ropes, but for a first time, this is great.

Used-Acceptable.....Item may come repackaged. Missing shrink-wrap, activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Large cut/scatch on set case. Large wrinkle / bend on set case.

Used - Good......Item may come repackaged. Missing shrink-wrap, activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Medium cut / scratch on item case. Medium wrinkle / bend on item case.

Used - Good - ...... Item may come repackaged. Factory Sealed. Medium wrinkle / bend on item case.

I can clearly understand cut/scratch, but when they say wrinkle/bend does that usually mean the art book, the steel case, any thoughts?

Grabbed an A copy of the destiny le. For 27.50 it is worth a shot to me to have all the physical stuff. Sounded like a dinger. If the codes are used that's okay I already have the expansion pass.

birthday coupon in forum post on here. hurry now because gamestop caught up to our ordeal and the last coupon was distributed and ends on the last day of May. it's how i get all my new releases. 49.49-20% coupon=winner....

... that it is a large cut / scratch on the cover art. :p Sounds like cosmetic damage but it also says may come repackaged so it could be anything. Still leaning on the side of a dinger.

When Amazon shipped them originally they kinda did a shitty job, and I know a bunch of people (myself included) got a Ghost Edition with the Big Box containing the game and ghost and everything had huge tears in them... no big deal. Actually people sold that fuckin box on eBay all by itself for like $50, that was the only reason I was semi-bummed by my ripped box haha

EDIT OOPS NEVERMIND IT SAYS LIMITED NOT COLLECTOR'S I CAN'T READ

Hmmm

Has anyone ever gotten this before?

"Carrier corrected Apartment/Suite # but delivery may be delayed"

Nothing has changed to my account info or anything, so there shouldn't have been any errors that I'm aware of

That's on 1 of 2 packages that I'm expecting, both are at my local carrier facility with this one supposed to be delivered today and the other tomorrow, but now with this the delivery has been pushed to the 14th???
yeah, the asshole Amazon delivery driver was late / missed you / some bullshit excuse but didn't want it to look like he just skipped over your house, so he lied.

Has happened to me WAAAAY too many times when it's "amazon delivery"

Amazon shipping is perpetually frustrating. Ordered three things from them yesterday with two day shipping (Amazon pantry is worthless to me if the credits don't stack). Two shipped this morning and will be here Monday which is nice. The one that I ordered about four hours earlier than those two, and the one I could actually use to be here Monday or Tuesday, hasn't shipped and is estimated for Wednesday at the moment. :oldman:
assuming you have Prime, chat up a customer service rep and just bitch kindly to them about it... they'll hook you up with something, even if it's only a $5 credit.

I know you can get banned from Prime, but I wonder if they can use you bitching about their constant false advertising in shipping times as a reason... I only bitch about like 1 in 3 times it happens because I like my Prime and don't really NEED most of the shit I buy from them.

I got a silver ds lite in and a polar white. The white was acceptable at $15. It was mad dirty and it came with the charger, stylus, and gba slot cart. The stylus was nasty and chewed on so I threw it out. I cleaned up the system with a magic eraser...and cleaned the screens as well. Hinge is intact and the screens are in great shape...not much wear at all. Pretty much a steal at $15.

The good silver ds lite was $70 and a possible dinger, it was sort of...came in a Nintendo box which is either an import or not legit as its different almost glossy. The actual system was gem mint...almost looks like a refurb unit but everything was perfect...really very happy with it. I thought it could be a fake but everything is too perfect, and has a genuine Nintendo battery.

has anyone order good / Acceptable headset of turtle beach from amazon warehouse?

when the mention large cut the item is mint right?

or depends on the case.?

Must resist that fallout 3 CE
I was just looking trough old paperwork and I found my receipt from amazon for this. 29.99 New on 360. If you have a time machine go back to July 29, 2011.

Or if you want the PC version for 21.99 you need to set the DeLorean to Dec 1, 2011.

Can you get banned for returning stuff because you didn't like it and just eating the shipping cost?
I'd say not as much since I've done that to nearly a dozen sets of headphones; I've eaten a lot of shipping costs in the past six months but hey, I haven't found a local place where I can test drive all those headphones in Phoenix anyway so it's a small price to pay for me.

That said don't go hog wild with it; I'm probably one step from getting a flag.

I was reading where you can get shitcanned for *CANCELLING* too many orders... how messed up is that, especially on all this crap we need to impulse buy and then later regret and cancel lol... curious to see what the threshold on that one is

FYI, Halo CE won't work on 360. They made all previous versions of the game unplayable when they came out with Halo CE Anniversary. I had the Xbox Originals version that I paid $5 for during a sale, and all it does is redirect to the Waypoint app. Pretty shitty tactic to make you buy Anniversary.

15 in stock now.
Not working for me? I add it to my cart and when I get to checkout it says they have none left in stock. Also I don't have the option to one click buy.

Is that true? I have my OG Xbox to play on, but still that's pretty fucked up on Microsofts part.

Yep, I tried to play it with a friend about a year ago and after about 10 tries we gave up. It's a waste of space on your hard drive if you have the Originals version on your 360.

I was reading where you can get shitcanned for *CANCELLING* too many orders... how messed up is that, especially on all this crap we need to impulse buy and then later regret and cancel lol... curious to see what the threshold on that one is
don't believe it. never heard of it happening to anyone

I'm going to guess that it's more like if you order a low-priced item with a pre-order, in order to reach a shipping threshold for that low-priced item (especially now with Add-on items), and then once the low-priced item ships, you cancel the pre-order. I'm sure Amazon hates when people do that, since they have Add-on items because they aren't profitable to ship on their own in the first place. I doubt it has anything to do with people that buy things and then cancel the order once they think about it, but before it starts processing.

Would this be considered a "dinger" ?

Condition: Used - Very Good - Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item is in original packaging, but packaging has damage. Small (less than 1/4" x 1/4") cosmetic imperfection on front of item. Small (less than 1/4" x 1/4") cosmetic imperfection on top of item. Small scratches on sides of item (up to 1/2 in.). Small scratches on back of item (up to 1/2 in.)

Says scratches on item not on package so I would guess not a dinger.

Are you sure? I was just playing Halo CE on my 360 about an hour ago.

Honestly, it was my first time to play the original Halo.
