 Anime Steals and Deals

**It is highly recommended you check the latest posts in this thread as they will often have the most up to date deals. I will attempt to reflect these sales in the OP, but always check the latest posts.**

Rightstuf

Rightstuf runs studio sales every week, sometimes even twice a week. These range from anime, manga, and even artbooks. Prices are decent, and Rightstuf has amazing customer service. I highly recommend them for that alone.

You can save an additional 10% off a majority of their items (Including preorders) by buying their Got Anime membership

Amazon

Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon.

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

DVDPlanet / Deep Discount

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

I highly suggest when you order from them to only order in stock items, and not ones that are backordered. Save yourself the displeasure of having to deal with the headaches. And patience is a must with these sites.

Cheapassgamer

Maybe you will find something here on our own forums! We have a thread dedicated specifically to Anime and Manga for sale from fellow Cags.

The heck... I know this has been said before numerous times in this thread, but this is by far the worst Rightstuf sale I've seen since I've been shopping with them from 2003.

They didn't even include BOTH volumes of Mobile Suit Gundam?

If the sci-fi bundle had Gundam part 2 instead of Mazinger. But yeah, none of these tempt me.

Actually that's how most of the sale has been, might pick up some old cheap stuff though.

Amazon and Barnes & noble had better prices on both sets of MS Gundam Blu-Ray until last week (for amazon), and B&N has 20% coupon for online that can knock it down to around 40 shipped.

These have been in previous sales on Rightstuf, so feel free to check the reference pages in the op.

Actualky, it would be pretty good for the Sci-fi Bundle
Gundam got as low as $40ish on Amazon, Brynhildr was $30 on amazon, Mazinger Edition Z is $35 in amazon. Comes out to $105ish before taxes (since some dont pay taxes on Amazon). You essentially could have gotten this bundle from Amazon last week. Pretty weak if you ask me.

What coupon is that?

It's been that price for awhile now, probably why RS sale on that was basically a non-factor since it was the same price on Amazon already, lol.

Oh RS, how you disappoint... ~_~

Been OoS for half a year now. The price was jumping back and forth from $31.50 to this constantly. I wonder why it is finally getting attention now. From blu ray.com to Slickdeals and to CAG. The price been like that for a couple months now. I had it in my cart since 2014 of Feb.

Since this sale only has one more day I'm kind of tempted to get Wagnaria. I think I remember reading something saying season 1 is going OOP. Does anyone know what the status of season 2 is? Should I get one, both, or none?

Maybe the Western release of the visual novel on Vita/PS3 recently got more people interested in the series.

Will probably go OOP too in a few months. Depends if Aniplex releases season 3 over here or NISA.

Ridiculous. No idea why anyone would buy that mega bundle. There are DVD sets and BD/DVD combos for the same exact series (i.e. Beyond the Boundary). Would make sense if it was all BDs with the DVD only releases mixed in. If anyone has that kind of money to burn at this time of year... Well, I would really be speechless.

I want to buy the oriemo season 1 and 2 DVD sets from anime stuff currently i can get them for $94, is it worth getting the memebership for $12?I want to make my decision quick since the sales ends today correct?

Unless someone is attempting to make $$ by selling each one of those blurays and DVDs in Right Stuf's Mega Deal Bundle for MSRP, that "deal" mega-sucks.

that is the only way you could do it, it would have to be about half of that price to be a decent flip after seller fees and shipping most places @_@

either way gotta figure out what I should buy before the sale is over, I likely will just put all the light novels that I don't own in an order and call it a day lol.
