Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon.

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

The Full Metal Panic blu rays are back in stock if people were waiting to order them. I picked up those and Shirobako.

Also, I recommend the Guin Saga blu rays to anyone that didn't buy them during the Sentai sale (I don't know if they were on that or how much they were).

Chrono Crusade is great for those that don't have it. Especially at that price. Anyone seen Texhnolyze? It any good? I kind of want SIlver Spoon....but not sure about those prices.

Texholyze has an extremely nihilistic outlook on humanity. So if you want some great cerebral sci-fi,that will make you depressed as hell by the end of it,give it a shot.

If you want to watch another anime from the guy that did Texnolyze but isn't horrendously depressing, and nihilistic, try Haibane Renmei (also on sale) and Niea under 7, though that show isn't rescued. Haibane is very subdued, and a little sad, but not super-depressing, and oddly out of character for the creator of these shows, Niea under 7 is downright happy as hell.

Ninja Nonsense is absolutely ridiculous (in a good way). I've got it backlogged, but I remember in the first episode Onsokumaru got hit with a bat so hard that he literally went full retard - by the end of the episode he was playing with toy cars on the ground.

I wouldn't say don't bother.

I was going to mention that crunchy is planning on releasing at least the first 52 episodes dubbed.

but if you don't care about dubs.... you could get what is currently there if you want.

I mean we don't know anything about the crunchy releases aside from that funimation will be handling distribution (not even if that means if funimation is printing the sets merely they will be the ones shipping them) we don't know price, quality ect.

for all we know the crunchyroll releases will be like the aniplex ones.

Please do not buy the king of thorns movie. The movie cut out 70% of the story from the manga and used horrible cgi for the creatures in the story.

The cut storyline is to be expected since they cut several volumes into a 90 minute film. It's a shame about the bad CGI though.

I haven't seen the movie, but if anyone is even a little interested in it, I urge them to read the manga instead.

They always jack their prices up to ridiculous levels when they do this. I have, however, gotten several Gundam series on Blu-ray for about $33-$35 through these coupons, though, as they often leave a few down in the $40 range.

I had no idea there was a manga for King of Thorns. The movie was flawed, but it was also pretty interesting. I'd love to see the full story.

I don't think they've licensed the movie. But the movies subs were fine. It wasn't very funny till after the credits though.

I only recommend not getting the sentai releases of the series because they only released 49 episodes and as another user said they, crunchyroll, seem to be planning releasing the first 52 episodes.

Heck. I'll probably sell my gintama set when the CR releases grow nearer.

Are you talking about the coupon from the catalogue, because those don't stack with the sale.

to be fair the 52 number didn't come from CR.

shortly before the CR announcement it was actually announced that in an effort to create more canadian TV shows they were dubbing some anime. the first 52 episodes of gintama were included in that.

it's mostly assumption that there isn't any good reason to dub it twice over, so they will be selling that dub.

It will be interesting to see how it sells for them, as unlike sentai they have easy access to a large number of people they can actively market it to.

heck I wouldn't be surprised if when they start releasing their dubbed anime if most of the free user's ads are of that.
