Is it for real though? I have phantom pain CE ordered as well and still pending shipping. Being my most anticipated game in ever i can not bear to wait a day longer than Tuesday ao I was going to go buy a copy on Tuesday to trade back in once my CE arrives. Will it really arrive by Tuesday? Or would it be better to buy a temporary copy.

I also had danganronpa: another episode pre ordered and that shipped today after being back ordered. My mgs collectors guide is back ordered too with no update on shipping. Hopefully everybody get s their games on time though.

Game sales where down and we wanted a way to gain some business back from GameStop, Walmart, Target, and TousRUs. So we decided to start a paid membership program that gives 20% off all new games. We had the @Game magazine before (complete copy of GameStop) but wanted something different. Ever since then games sales have gone way up. We might not make as much per game as GameStop but by having someone come into the store and buy games it also shows them the other products in the store and drives sales in the whole business. This has worked as our stock is up ever since I have taken over and we're making money.
 
For those freaking out about the $10 discount on Mad Max, the sale won't come off when the items are still considered preorders. They had a similar deal a few weeks ago for insurgent and divergent steelbooks. The $10 would not come off the preorders, but did come off when purchasing on release day. If you preorder the game, pick it up, then do a return and rebuy you will get the $10 off and still get your $10 cert for preordering.

Awesome. How'd you find that link? I can't figure out how to get to it from just the main Best Buy website (e.g., not mentioned on any of the project pages or in the weekly ad). Either way, I'm going to try my luck when I pick up my preorder tomorrow. I'm definitely going to have to get them to take the $10 off manually since I have the game and movie preordered on separate receipts. Fingers crossed.

Pay for the items and then do a return/rebuy. The computer will take $10 off for you.
 
Anyone worried about there preorder's not arriving on time. BB normally ships mine out on Monday(day before release) around 5PM and I receive it on Tuesday around Noon. It depends on your location, I have 2 shipping centers within 5 hours from me.

Doing a return will negate the $10 reward cert for preordering the game. I shouldn't have much trouble getting them to take the $10 off manually. My local Best Buy is good people.

I thought returning will nullify the $10 pre-order bonus.

Nope that happened to me once I went all the way to bby and I couldn't pick it up because they said it doesn't come out on that date I would call first before going

It doesn't negate the cert. Cancelling the order will cancel it, but a return/rebuy will not.

Console is not that bad, for the most part, I buy physical copies of games.

PC is crazy though... some of these updates are way too freaking big, not to mention useless.

ie. The Evil Within patch took up 31GB (it added the expansion, which I did NOT buy/do not have access to).

Yep, there are also some games that will just redownload the entire game on new patches. I don't have a data cap, but I do have fairly slow innernette, so it sucks either way.

Also, Mr. Joly, my MGSV CE just shipped. I assume you gave the people at my local shipping center a stern lecture, and I thank you greatly for your A+ customer service.

Because the popularity of Madden is way higher than Metal Gear or Mad Max in the US. I'm not a fan of Madden, and looking forward to my MGS5 pre-order, but I think it is fairly obvious that those games aren't going to drive sales to the likes of the yearly Madden game - and they can't have the employees keep the store open late every single week.
