Everyone doubted BO3 this year with BF and H5 out around the same time....H5 and BF are horrible disappointments; embarrassing to say the least.

Six Seige is also a pile of dookie. It's a console players CSGO but worse.
I found BO3 to be one of the most horrible shooters I've ever played in every aspect. Really, the only shooters I can say were worse were other CoD games (MW3, Ghosts, WaW, and probably AW). The character system was annoying. The maps were horrible in the beta. The gunplay is still an embarrassment (will those games EVER require you to aim at a person when firing?). BO3 felt like the drunken love child of Titanfall and Advanced Warfare. Battlefront was refreshingly simplistic, something I think DOOM looks to be doing in a good manner. The lack of solo content turned me off, and the lack of in-game voice chat was the nail in the coffin for me with Battlefront as a launch release, but I might pick it up cheaply after I finish Fallout 4.

I will agree that Siege blew chunks. I was really hoping for a tactical shooter in the vein of CS, but no one used a mic in the beta, and the only time I enjoyed myself AT ALL was in the Terrorist Hunt mode. The beta was so poor I'm worried about The Division as a result.

I have no gripes with the actual shooting, just the amount of it. It's really the CoD formula or encounter, advance, encounter, advance. The only difference is that in between those sequences you have the option to explore some instead of being confined in a hallway.

I enjoyed it, it's got a hot face next to it in my signature. It's fine that this is what it is but it's definitely trending towards shooter and away from tomb raiding. But that's what the market wants so that's what the market gets. Let's just hope they keep the quality up.
I loved Tomb Raider, but this isn't what I want from this Genre. We will see if it's what the market wants, because it isn't selling well and I am sure Uncharted will have something to add...

It's a better Uncharted at this point which is fine. But the characterization of Lara becomes more questionable the further they go down that road.
That is until Uncharted 4...

I enjoy the new Tomb Raiders but I do wish they would go back to be more of what it once was. Uncharted was and always has been about the huge set pieces and crazy action. Tomb Raider should be more of the opposite and not follow Uncharted. I like having two sides of one coin. Both adventure games but with bigger differences then what we have right now.

So, I still haven't got my $10 from Black Ops. Fallout isn't even in the pending list yet.

Is this because I'm an elite member, with a 30 day return policy, or the holidays no questions refunds until January, that the points won't post for another two or three weeks, or until January, because they don't want people returning unopened games and keeping the gift points?

I know it was a long shot, but was hoping to use the $20 from BLOPS/F4 to put towards Battlefront.

Has it been 15 days? No. Calm down.

I recently just finished replaying through the Uncharted games in the Uncharted Collection. They are even better then I remember them. The shipyard/ship chapters in Uncharted 3 are some of my favorite. Can't wait to see what they do with Uncharted 4. I'm also worried for the same reasons though. With the past three games so good, they kind of did it all. What can they do that hasn't been done. They've had boats/Ocean, Snow/cliffs/caves, Trains, Planes/flying, desert/sand, jungle, city, helicopters. The new Tomb Raider does seem like it borrowed some gameplay ideas/mechanics from Uncharted, but I haven't installed it myself yet. Still excited for both games. Since I spent the past two weeks with the Uncharted games, I figured i needed to give that type of game a break. Just started Fallout 4 last night.

Sorry for rambling........

I pre ordered battlefront but after seeing the reviews and playing the beta, I'll pass. If I exchange it for a game like tomb raider, the certs shouldn't get affected right?

Yeah, you lose your certificate. Why would you not?

While we're on the subject, I learned that you can lose your bonus 500 if you pre-ordered more than one copy of a game and return one. I had Assassin's Creed pre-ordered on Xbox and Ps4. I returned my PS4 copy a week ago and my 500 points disappeared and my account went negative 500 and whatever Assassin's Creed was. Yeah, wtf?

you are absolutely correct. due to your elite status, your points will post in jan 2016. don't stress over it. feel free to hibernate until then.

Surprisingly, earlier today I received the 500pts from my Fallout 4 preorder (which I made online Nov 1st).  I'm not gonna complain, but it seems like a really quick turn around.  I have an elite plus membership as well.

For online orders it might go from 15 days from the order date, not 15 from the release/delivery date?

Only thing I really remember liking about the old Tomb Raider games were the puzzles, which unfortunately is not as present in the newer games. Outside that though I feel the combat, platforming, and essentially everything else surrounding them were very clunky. I remember the 2013 entry being the first time I actually liked a Tomb Raider game as a whole. I respect the nostalgia and people enjoying the puzzles of the old games, but all in all, I'm glad they improved this series so much.

Didn't get the AC Syndicate credit automatically after placing an order that time their site stopped taking pre-orders the day before. But I called their CS, and they wound up crediting me the 500 points. I have about $40 in rewards stacked up now. GCU is awesome.

Seeing as how I can't use reward certs for pre-orders, can I at least use them for gift cards?

It's a bit annoying how these certs expire a month before anything is released.

you can use them on preorders, once you order the certificate is "used" and if you cancel i believe you get a new one with a later expiration date. you used to anyway.

I don't think Certs can be used toward preorder's in store. Maybe that's what he ment.

Maybe it's a Elite Plus benefit? Everytime I issue a Cert, it has a expiration date of a year from that date.

i wish these preorder certs didnt expire so fast... i'm purposefully avoiding using them right now but will have to pretty soon.
Buy something, then cancel the order and the certs will repost to your account with an extended expiration date...

Really? Nice tip... Generally i've avoided using the certs if i think it's an item I will have to return or not pick up.

I only have one to use this month though so I'll probably just use it on bf... GH Live maybe..

Once my battlefront and cod points clear I'll have $40 in rewards and around $40 in gift cards. That should cover what I buy from Best Buy this Black Friday.

Makes sense but I heard that if they do an exchange lets say battlefront for ps4 your pre ordered for an xbox one copy, your cert wouldn't be affected?

I think that negative 500 hit me once before

Exchanging platforms is one thing. You want to switch to another game that's already been released...

Wow, my $20 visa checkout gift card finally got here! Now to wait for my RotTR $10 credit and the 1k points I have pending to spend on BF.
Is this the one where you get $20 credit on your acct when checking out on bby using visa check out rather than the standard bby check out process. Shouldn't that mean the credit will post to your credit card instead. Sorry, I'm a bit confuse.

Or is this the one promoted on Sunday football no one was able to sign in.

No, it's the $20 gift card used if you linked your Chase Freedom card. The other deal is spend $15 at a qualifying store and get $15 back as credit.

And both deals were promoted... and no one was able to sign in.

i also did the chase freedom card link to visa check out and bought a $25 bby giftcard. i thought visa was going to credit our freedom card for $20 after spending $20 @ bby via visa checkout? did visa mail you a bby gc instead.

Yeah, VisaCheckout sent me an email with my $20 gift card.

VC will credit you only $15 for the deal, there was a separate deal where if you linked your card (no purchase needed) they send you a $20 gift card / promo code.

I thought Just Cause 3 was part of the $10 preorder promo but I guess not, thats a bummer.  Not sure if I wanna buy it or not, kind of tired of open world games now after Tomb Raider, MGS5, (playing) Fallout 4, Syndicate, etc.  Gonna pick up FF X|X2, Mad Max and Witcher 3 during BBY black friday sales too, so those are more than enough to tide me over until next year.

Also if you have a best buy credit card check your emails, I got an offer today spend $200 at grocery store with the visa bby card and get $25 as a reward zone cert in january.  Easy to spend $200 in thanksgiving time.  Walmart/Target don't count.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm playing through AC Syndicate right now and the map is massive with so much to do, then I'm moving onto Fallout 4 right after. Gonna need to take a break after that. Definitely want to play it but I'll either Gamefly it next year or buy it when it's $20 or something.

fuck Put my Vault Boy socks on Ebay tonight and the person who bought them has 0 feedback and created the account today.  I wish Ebay would allow sellers to block these types of buyers.
