As a My Best Buy member, get $10 in reward certificates per game title you pre-order and purchase.

What do I have to do to qualify for this offer?
If you are an eligible My Best Buy member, pre-order your copy of any of the qualifying titles in either the standard version or special edition for PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 or PC prior to their release date. Then you must purchase and pick up your pre-order within 7 days of street date. Please provide your member number at the time of pre-order and pickup. When you meet these requirements, you will receive 500 bonus points credited to your account within 15 days of purchase or game shipment.
 
Where can I pre-order and purchase the qualifying games to qualify for this offer?
You may pre-order and purchase any of the qualifying games in Best Buy stores or online at BestBuy.com. Please provide your member number at the time of pre-order and pickup.
 
Can I pre-order and purchase multiple copies of an eligible game and get multiple rewards?
No. There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy member per game title.

Q: Can the 20% off Unlocked benefit be combined with a price match?
A: At the time of purchase, you would receive either the price match or 20% off. You would not be able to receive 20% off of a matched price. If Best Buy's price is lowered during the return/exchange period, the price will be matched to the lower price (upon request). My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked Members should receive the new price along with the 20% discount. This price match covers one price match per identical item per customer.

Alright, I bit and preordered the GTA V game at 8:57 PM (3 mins before my store closes). I hope I can actually pick it up tomorrow.

$51 total with $10 certificate with preorder bonus of $1 million. LET'S DO IT GTA!

 
So I still hadn't received my normal points for AC Unity but I did get the 500 points for the preorder. I decided to call in for the missing points today. The guy was super helpful with me and said he would manually put it in and I was like awesome. So he wanted to add something around 140 points but I was like hold on.... I think your missing some points cause another game purchase I made showed around 165 points. He was like let me check and told me he had forgotten the gamers club points which double it. So in the end he told me I was missing 295 points? I was like am bad at math but that sounds about right lol :p

But now that I think about it he added way too many points. So should I called back and tell them he made a mistake??? :whistle2:$ I don't want him to get into trouble for be super helpful and nice to me!!!

But am an Elite Plus member and I always get the points that same week the game come out? Am thinking the problem was I price matched the collector edition and the lady who did it didn't input the information correct on my account.

Being elite plus has nothing to do with points clearing. Wait 15 days and then call if there is an issue. Next time read the OP and wait.

 
I pre-ordered Far Cry 4 and GTA V. Will pick it up tomorrow at Best Buy. Then I will go to Target across Best Buy to exchange my three B2G1 $60 games with 5% redcard for Dragon Age, WWE 2K15, and LittleBigPlanet 3. All 5 of these games will cost me $38 plus tax each. Tomorrow will be an awesome Tuesday. This is better than this year's Black Friday deals.  :D/  :lol:

Will Best Buy price match TRU's B1G1 40% off? Will these reward certificates still work if I preordered, then get them to price match TRU?

that ain't the problem cause I also ordered the CE with a price match, just be patient from now on like everyone else already said

I vote for games I have no interest in and that are on consoles I don`t own for 2 reasons. They`re easy credit/pt builders and other retailers may have offers/promos that can be stacked on games I want. A simple buy 2 select titles plus a nice trade in bonus means getting paid even more for the games I want. More deals can`t hurt

Would it shock you if in the near future $10 certs became limited to GCU members only and/or they adjust the cert values up/down in favor of GCU members? It`s how it should be anyways.

There`s no doubt changes will hit GCU over the next 6-8 months. The $120 price didn`t come outta thin air so for them to be this aggressive pricewise in our favor means they will need to counter balance it out. GCU members aren`t going to be the ones screwed not when BB is fully aware they`ve locked in a large % of us in for well beyond 2 yrs.

Free members will get consistantly "teased" to upgrade and these discounted GCU deals will become fewer/far between. We`ll see the free/discounted subs linked to console purchases since they have a large warranty attach rate combined with add on purchases.

Look at the response to giving a free game with a paid full price $120 sub they don`t even release they make more profit lol, I love BB but man sometimes they just don`t get it.

Preordered GTA and Far Cry 4 on Thursday.  Far Cry shipped Saturday, GTA hasnt done anything yet....little annoyed about that.  I'm fine not having it at release but give me a damn tracking number please!

I preordered both Unity and MCC a month in advance. My Unity shipped Thursday before release and arrived on release day. But MCC shipped on Tuesday(release) and arrived the next day on Wednesday.

In my experience with Online preorders with shipping at BB, it's best to preorder early. I personally wouldn't order anything to be shipped, no later then early in the week before release. It also seems like you get your points/Certs faster if you preorder well in advance

They`re already stated more things are to come so it would only be newer stuff since their stock answers generally are geared to expect more of the same. The larger install base is needed to "open the window/door" for something we just don`t know what they`re letting in. Now they goto the "we don`t comment on upcoming promos lookout for BB.com announcements".

However, behind the scenes it`s "you guys(aka CAG) will know ahead of time as usual" so sometimes a non-answer is a answer. I see they took down the $10 cert thread for a week or so then in popped back up again was hoping for something then.
 
well I broke and ended up getting far cry 4. There was like no one there when I showed up 20 min after midnight. They said only a few people were there, It is pretty cold here in Chicago, heh. 

Does anyone else have a problem ordering online and getting cracked cases at best buy? It happened with evil wihtin and ended up exchanging it for a refund few days later. Didn't realize my far cry 4 was cracked until I got home. Not too worried about it this time since I will prob end up trading it in within the month and get gtav.

What store did you go to? Store on Clark was dead. I got to the store probably 5 after midnight, walked in and only had to wait for one person to finish checking out. Easiest midnight launch ever.

They wouldn't allow trade ins tonight, so I just opted to pick up GTA as I wanted to trade Unity to pick up Far Cry. No freebies, which was kind of a let down. Usually get at least a poster or something for a midnight pick up.

I didn't expect a full store or anything, but with all the games that released I figured I'd see more customers than employees in the store. Not the case where I was.
 
Picked up my pre-order of GTAV and there was no code for the million dollar bonus inside the case. And there's nothing to distinguish if it does or not.

I'm on the south side, went to the Lansing store to grab it which is just outside Chicago.


I didn't expect it to be packed but I figured there would at least be a line mainly for Gta.

Should have been on the receipt or emailed to you. I opted for GTA digitally so Playstation sent me a message and told me to open up the store in game menu, it's a free download there.

Based on the Gamestop website, it's supposed to be a voucher packed inside the case. So it makes me think it's a limited print run. If so, it'll be helpful to figure out which one is distinguished as the version with the bonus DLC.

 
No code in my GTA box either and I pre-ordered online with DA:I and Far Cry 4 which both of those showed the bonus in the cart (meaning it's emailed and I already got them)...thinking we got fudged over.

 
Got my Far Cry 4 code in my email inbox for The Butcher's Machete this morning.  The email said that the code can't be replaced if I delete the email.  The game isn't scheduled to arrive at my place until Wednesday.

Do you still get the 500 points for current gen GTAV if you pre-ordered and picked up the last gen GTAV? I remember saw a post on BBY forum saying no because it is the same title. However, a confirmation from a fellow Cag would be more great.

I am leaving for a few days and my copy of GTAV still hasn't shipped. Supposed to be here tomorrow. The entire reason why I even had to do shipping was because of BestBuy's dumb website error. If I purchase a new copy and return the one am waiting for, that frowned upon? I don't want to return my shipped copy since I got $10 for the pre order.
