I bought my xbox in summer 10. I needed a controller, and there were no good sales on them, but dell had these black ops controllers on preorder for $35. So I bought one and waited for it to arrive.

So since Nov, 9, 2010 or whenever Black Ops came out, this has since been my primary controller. I have had no problems with it. The finish is pleasing to the touch, the lack of battery pack is nice, and the cord is duarable enough and long enough for me not to care about it being a cord. I even move it around, from my PC to my xbox, without that being a concern either.

And regarding the 'combat buttons,' it seems that most people complain that they are hard to reach, they have midget hands, as I easily use them as needed, and they do come in handy, such as sniping, or fine maneuvers in vehicles or platforming.

So in conclusion, I own one and I use it as my primary controller. I like it.

What about the navigation stick? I heard that it's plastic and has no grip texture.

I'm still on the fence about this.

the part about navigation stick is true. I didn't like it at first, as it does lack the nubs and such the regular controllers don't have, but I can't remember the last time that has bothered me, but I guess that would be a case of getting used to them.

I don't think that is a DOTD, more like an unadvertised sale like the Gears of War 3 Epic Edition.

Here is the DOTD page, which does not have the Wii game show up. Kyle from BB also provided me a little info on the new BB DOTD for video games.

The Deal of the Day promotions vary from week to week so, although video games have been showing up in there recently, I wouldn't count on them being in there every week. It's more of an overall Best Buy thing and not specific to any product category.

Essentially its random on when you will see a video game DOTD, but its better than nothing I guess.

I don't think they'll cancel. I'd imagine you'll start seeing more deals like this on two year old wii games.

I know Amazon has this listed at $49.99 but that is rediculous and it takes less then 30 seconds to realize that you can find many options to get this game for less then $15 so $5 doesn't seem that unreasonable.

Yeah you don't need to have played the first to enjoy this one. Its a bit on the short side but at this price its worth picking up. Zapper compatible too.
