Forsaken Gods? The reportedly awful expansion to Gothic 3? Probably a better idea to hunt for a Gothic 3 collectors edition or maybe hit up Half Price Books and see if it ain't there. It is making the rounds in the clearance circles.

The rest, not so much.

I saw the original SOCOM game at mine, among other PS2, DS, and Wii games. My store cut their PC game selection in half...not sure how or when, but I'm wondering if they sent them to another store or something.
My local shops have been barren all August. :whistle2:\
I'm still carrying around a short list of BL games I've been looking for and haven't yet located.

EARTH 2160
CODE OF HONOR 2
DARK FALL LIGHTS OUT
DRIVER PARALLEL LINES
DUNES OF WAR
GREAT WAR NATIONS
HELL'S KITCHEN
LOST PLANET
RPG GAMEPACK
FORESAKEN GODS
LOTR SHADOW OF AGMAR
dirt
I'd like to check out DiRT. Does anyone know if the key in the box can be used to activate the game over Steam? Whether it does any real damage or not, I'd prefer to keep Starforce off my system.
A Big Lots near me got some new PC games. Here are a few I remember (All $6):

* Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway
* Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway Limited Edition (Comes with Authentic SGT. Matt Baker Action Figure: 6 fully articulated collectible action figure with 13 accessories, map, comic book, etc)
* John Deere Ambuilder Deluxe
* Mirror's Edge
* Mercenaries 2
* Prince of Persia
* Rainbow 6: Vegas
* Two Thrones
Nice. My BL still sucks; no new shipments in like two months.

LOL. I checked the Big Lots near me recently for the first time in forever. I quickly remembered why I never go. The PC section was nothing but older games for $5 a pop. The big find for me? A brand new (however dusty and faded) copy of Total Annihilation. Like, the Total Annihilation released in 1997. Still with the $5 price tag they put on it, presumably, about a decade ago. Unbelievable...
Woah! TA new in box?! If PC games were like console games, that'd be the like holy grail for RTS fans! :D

I saw TA at a Big Lots a few months ago, but I already have TA: Commander Pack in a massive and awesome box, so I passed.
I've seen Total Annihilation a couple places as well. I don't get too excited by "new in box" pc games that are obviously disc only, though.

I know it's weird, since I almost never read the manuals, but when I pick up a box and it's light as air, I just feel like it's missing something.

Anyone see any new Blu-ray titles? I was really looking forward to new titles coming along (other than Nip/Tuck Season 4)...so far nothing new.

My Bg Lots had a decent selection of games about 2 months ago but there is jack shit now. They have a display up for console games now; Wii, PS2, 360, and DS I think. Shitty titles and not very many 360 games. Rather large display (4-5 feet squared). Also, still no new Blu-rays :(

My local Big Lots finally got new stock in (both PC games and DVDs). It was the batch with Brothers in Arms CE, Mirror's Edge, Mercs 2 and some others. Luckily the best Big Lots I've found is closest to me. The others, though, aren't really worth going to these days.

Thanks for the update Salty. I guess I will have to go back by and check this week. I would not mind having BIA:CE
Not sure how old these deals are, but last time I was there I got Viva Pinata, Kane and Lynch, LOTRO, The Club, Prey, and Turning Point. :)
Those have been out for months now, but still good deals none-the-less :)

I went the other day to my local Big Lots and they did have quite a few new titles in stock (a few have already been mentioned). I didn't have a pencil & paper to make notes, but I did purchase the infamously horrible "You Are Empty"... a bad game, to be sure, but at least I felt like I was getting a bargain!

12 or 18 months ago I picked up City of Heroes and City of Villains collector's editions for $8, which included a free month ($15 value). Big Lots used to be awesome. :applause:

Went in a couple weeks ago and saw Lego Indy and Lego Batman for $18 or something. Not quite as nice when they're $20 everywhere anyway, or 2 for $30 at Walmart and stuff. :cry:

My Big Lots finally had some new games. Unfortunately, most of them were throw away titles that were not even worth the $4 and $6 dollar price tag. My store did not have any of the other new titles discussed previously in the tread (Mercs 2, Mirrors Edge, Brothers in Arms:Hell's Highway), instead there was a lot of family software which was kind of nice since I was able to buy my daughter some games for a change. :)

I saw the following:

Disney Princess Enchanted Journey $4.00
Littlest Pet Shop $4.00
Dora and the Snow Princess $6
Death Track $6
Conflict: Denied Ops $6
Puzzle Quest Galaxtrix $6
Pipe Mania $4
Rainbow Six Vegas $6
Incredible Hulk $4

I guess I'll check out my local Big Lots at lunch time. But they haven't had anything new for months. It's seems to be that management must have ADD and can only focus on one media product at a time. Now that they are selling console games, they've forgotten about pc games.

My Big Lots was doing the exact same thing. They either had DVDs out in bulk or PC games out in bulk but never both at the same time. However, when I went back this weekend they had put out a separate display primarily for PC games. It actually made it really, really quick and easy to go through the games to find anything worth picking up.

Thanks for the tip on Conflict: Denied Ops. I picked it up but have not had the chance to play it yet so its good to hear it is worth $6 bucks. I would also recommend Puzzle Quest Galaxtrix to anyone who is interested. I picked it up for $9 at Best Buy a few weeks back and have really enjoyed it so far. It plays very differently from the first game but it is great fun once you get the hang it.

Was in there yesterday and picked up Spellforce 2 and Devil May Cry 4, for $6 each. They also had Age Of Conan, Puzzle Quest Galactrix, and Medal Of Honor Pacific Assault.

I went to a Big Lots on the way to my parent's house (2.5 hours away) & found quite a bit of goodies (even if oldies):

STALKER
Quake 4
C&C Generals
Rag Doll Kung Fu
Kane & Lynch
Devil May Cry 4
Universe At War
MOH Pacific Assault

There were others as well but I forget what they were...other than several copies of some crappy Windows 95 software! LOL
Weird, when I got Galactrix at BL a few weeks ago, it was stickered $4 and rang up $4.
I think it's all in how it's stickered. @ the BL I was recently some games were $4 & some were $6. Those stickers have the barcodes as well, so it could have just had some generic pc software sticker on it.

Checked out my local Big Lots and found some decent deals. Warhammer Battle March, Tomb Raider Underworld, Tomb Raider Anniversary, and Age of Conan for $6 each.

Has anyone else noticed a huge lack of PC games lately? My Big Lots used to be pretty good but now they have almost nothing and their inventory never gets updated.

Look at my post above... it's been the same stuff at my local Big Lots for pretty much the last year!

at mine for $6

Same. Stopped by my BL Friday for the first time in months and all they had were educational games. Their Wii and DS game stock has gone up a tiny bit but absolutely NO PC games have come in since I was last there earlier this year.

Not sure it's worth getting people's hopes up by bumping this thread, but my Big Lots got new PC games in for the first time in a long, long while (since they started selling console games).

Nothing stellar, and it looks like others have found most of these before, but they're all new for me and my store at least. So there's hope the PC deals aren't dead.

All $6:
Saints Row 2
Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars
Warhammer Mark of Chaos: Battle March
Godfather II

Thanks for the update Salty.

My BL has those same games about a month ago and have not had anything new since. I keep hoping they will get something else new but it has been a wasteland at my BL ever since they started selling console games. :(

Went to my local Big Lots on west Shaw in Fresno, CA and they have Classic Game 2 packs. They had

Star Wars: Republic Commando/ Star Wars Battlegrounds Saga
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast/ Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Star Wars Battlefront/ Battlefront II
Puzzle Quest/ a game I cant remember

They were all $6 for each 2 pack. I picked up Star Wars: Republic Commando/ Star Wars Battlegrounds and the Jedi Knight 2 pack. I might go pick up the Battlefront Combo later. They Had about 4 sets of each.

I havent seen a PC game in any of the Big Lots around here for at least 6 months. Used to be good when PCGirl was giving regular updates as to what was being shipped.

Its completely dead now, just shovelware Wii/DS left in the stores.

Same here. :roll:
My Big Lots still has PC games. Mostly crap, but they still have them.
Some of them even have Windows 95 software.

My local Big Lots has a ton of PC stuff but it's all wedged onto one shelf and buried about 6 boxes deep, on their sides. There is no way to spend less than a few hours rearranging their entire system in order to even see what they have. It's pretty ridiculous, they probably wonder why no one buys anything. Can't help but think there are some real jewels buried in the back.
