Alright, the Americans have a wiki page with all the EB Games trade-in values and I figured we might as well start one for the Canadian EB. It's good reference for if we ever want to sell our soul or maybe take advantage of loopholes in their promos! I'll try and keep the list updated as much as possible.

If you have info to add, please do so in the following format:
*Game Name - $# - Month Day, Year
For example:
*Sonic Mega Collection - $8 - September 29th, 2006.

Group them by system please!

Hello again. I was hoping some of the games I got during the big sale event would've had there trade values go up...

Xbox360

Call of Duty 2 Game of the Year Edition = $11
Stuntman Ignition = $6 (still... sigh)

By the way, these are values WITHOUT the bump in extra credit. I just decided to use them for a future trade. That's it for this week. By the way, I don't know where I read this, but some ppl said either here on CAG or RFD that the new trade promo would allow min. $2 trade-in value for next gen games (for the credit bump). But I asked today at EB and it was a min. $3 trade-in value. Just thought I would mention it out there to the ppl who want to verify.

Do you guys know how much they'll take off the credit if a game does not include a manual? or the cd is very scratched?
 
I believe it is a $1 refurbish fee. They have never taken any tiv off for no manual before though, at least not for me.

It would seem to me you got bumped manually by $5 on each trade (perhaps by a clueless CSR?), and then an extra 5 automatically by the system? and than +$2 for the music card which is then subtracted later on.

Yeah, from what I calculated...I got away with more credit than I should have, but who's to complain?:)
 
yeah I traded in 11 games for $55 bonus credit, can't complain they will pay for some games during the heavy christmas season, I hate to see some go but I have more games then time right now, here is my list before the bump

Just noticed that I screwed myself out of $30 credit. I guess I probably can't go back with 1 more game and get the extra credit...

And there was even 1 more PSP game I had forgotten to grab before I went.

from my conversations with several EB locations, the way it works is as follows:

trade 3 or 4 qualified games, each game traded in is bumped up $3.34
trade 5 to 7 qualified games, each game traded in is bumped up $4.00
trade 8 or more qualified games, each game traded in is bumped up $5.00

in addition, with their EB music card promo, each game traded in is bumped up $2 and then the extra $2 is used to offset the cost of the EB music card which is also $2. you are supposed to get one EB music card with each game traded in.

in your case, the clueless EB CSR bumped the tiv of your game by $5 before the system bumped up your TIV by $5 as well. Enjoy your "extra" $50 EB credit ... some guys get all the luck :bouncy:

Its funny, one store said I could get Alone in the Dark but was out of Battlefield. They had the gold but wouldn't let me pay the difference. So they checked the next closest store - they said no to Alone in the Dark but let me pay 10 bucks extra for the gold edition of Battlefield (I had a 10 gift card)

I traded these in and bought the PS3 Frontman Guitar, and paid the $19.20 difference. Do these TIVs mean I could have used the $8+ games and done a trade 3, or does that not apply in this case? :whistle2:s
I never find EB helpful at making sure you get the most bang for your buck (go figure).

One more thing, the clerk didn't circle my receipt at the bottom. What does that mean again? :)
 
They would not work for the trade 3, and I'm pretty sure they just circle it because it mentions trading in games or something.

Is this an official policy published somewhere or just an unwritten rule?
 
Each store should have a little sign near or on the front counter to let you know that if you don't get the bottom of the receipt circled you get an extra 10% trade in for your games. If you go in again just point it out to them... because it's a written rule, so they have to honour it.
