I'm in the Schaumburg area and running some errands before a business trip. I'll see what ones I can hit up. Maybe I'll make a run to Bloomingdale and check there.

That's an awesome deal! OS is one of the few games I purchased at full price in recent memory, so at this price, not buying it is just plain STUPID.

I just picked up Odin Sphere for 16.96.
I also got Dawn of Mana for 16.96

I didn't see any new PS3 games on clearance.

Trust me, it's a bullshit issue, but mods are warning people for asking or offering to pick up copies unless it's under a sub thread in the trade forum. We're discussing it here: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176721&page=7

Confirmed $16.96 at the Stevenson Ranch, CA location, although there was only one copy on the floor when I got there.

Turns out that AZ seems to be out of stock (Tucson, Yuma, Phoenix metro, Flagstaff) after a few calls to friends who checked their inventory system. Just FYI to anyone looking in this state.
 
Dang it. There are no stores near me. I was just home over the weekend too and they've had a copy there at the one near my house for over a 4 or 5 months.
 
I just got back from Circuit City and heard them list off the new clearance games. There are no new Xbox 360, Playstation 3, or Wii games on clearance this time. Some notable games that I can remember that are on clearance are Odin Sphere (PS2), Dawn of Mana (PS2), MLB Power Pros (PS2), and Sly Cooper 3 (PS2).
 
I picked up what appears to be the last copy at the Atlanta / Cobb Parkway store. Thanks OP!

There are two copies of Dawn of Mana there, but that game has lousy reviews.

As of 6 PM yes it was. Unfortunatly they don't have it super organized (it was closer to the start of the alphabet if I remeber right) but it was still there behind a few other games.

Argh, I've been checking amazon nearly every day for the past two months, hoping for a drop from 40$. I can't ever seem to be able to find good games at clearance/deal prices around here. I'd do anything to be able to get this game for around 25-28 new, much less 16.96. Same goes for Grim Grimoire.

funny not too long ago OS was 20% off from the weekly ad. Combin with my gamer's card i paid $28

I heard if you like old-school RPG's then its worth it to pick up??? Havent really heard anything about this game , with me being over in iraq the past 6 months , any suggestions??

it is not a RPG. It is an beat them up/action advanture game with RPG elements like item and experience point.

Hehe. That's still a good deal. I just can't bring myself to spend over 30$ on any ps2 game, much less one that's available for 20-30 at
many places *IF* they still have it.
 
Nice the Circuit City had 2 by me (in Tustin Marketplace).

First I asked one of the employees to look it up and he said he couldn't search it because he didn't know the code # since it wasn't on the website (wtf?). So they can't search it by name in their system?

Anyways he said he would look more while I looked for the games. He came over to me and said they were all out. I was about to leave, checked a couple more rows and found the copies... dumbass employee.

I bought the last 2, one to play one to trade/sell, $17 for a pretty good Atlus game is a damn good deal imho.

They had 3 copies of Dawn of Mana there also but I've heard bad things about the game. You can get a used copy for like $20 so it wasn't worth buying them and selling.
 
Sweet. Gorgeous 2D game that pushes graphical boundaries. Few stages brought tears to my eyes I wish we had more these or next Mario was high res sprites. Anyway worth price for sure even if slowdown and item system get in way about 5 stages in. Hopefully Oboro their next game on the Wii address gameplay issues.
 
Oh yeah - 4 pages and counting. This is going to be the deal of the year, as hot as Okami for $16.96. BTW, I got one ^_^ and the CC had two...now they have one. Good luck, guys!
 
I merged the Odin Sphere thread into here where it belongs. Since it is such a great game at a great price I modified the title to reflect that particular drop (so those who neglect to check the clearance threads can still find it ;)). But since there are likely to be others (edit: in fact there are many more, though nothing quite as good as Odin Sphere) they should be added to this thread. I see some mention of Dawn of Mana for example - I'll have to comb through the thread and add that to the OP as well.
