Clearance Bin Review: Giving Away: 3 copies of Ignite (PC/Steam) -Ends 11/28

Happy to see several new people commenting on the site, day two of the contest.

Also like to say thanks for the fact that this morning our numbers for April so far actually surpassed those for the entire month of March, which had been our busiest month yet, with a whole week to set a new record.

Thanks for the bumps guys!

Last day to enter the contest, which ends at 8pm CST this evening.

Have to thank you guys yet again, yesterday was our busiest single day all month and came very close to topping our best ever.

Winner has been notified! Thanks everyone for entering and helping us having an amazing week on the site. I hope CBR can continue to keep bringing the contest for you all in May, and beyond.

If you didn't win Yar's Revenge in this particular contest, don't fret. You could still win a copy of the game through our CBR Rewards program. Click Here for more info.

This week's XBLIG Spotlight is on the indie game Avatar Fighter, a retro style arcade fighter in the vein of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat where you can duke it out as your avatar against other avatars! A fun game full of some pretty cool avatar animations. You can enter by Twitter, facebook and of course by commenting on the XBLIG Spotlight; just tell us what your favorite arcade fighter is and what system you prefer to play it on! CLICK HERE for details.

Also, don't forget, we are still giving away a copy of Yar's Revenge for the month of April in our new CBR Rewards program: where we reward one random person who has commented on our site (in a given time period) with free stuff!

Really, that's pretty much all you have to do to enter, write a meaningful comment on one of our many articles spanning a wide variety of different games and other content (excluding comments for other contest). If this goes well we will continue to do a minimum of one drawing a month for games, dlc, etc., and if it goes really well, well then we will see. But really, how many sites out there try to reward you for talking about video games? Go here for more details on CBR Rewards and Yar's Revenge.

Thanks everyone, and good luck! The contest continue!

Last day to enter! If you have ever wanted to see your avatar punch another avatar in the face, this may be your best chance to do so for free!

WAPAAH! Thanks Budz! Thats the first thing I've won so far, time to smack around my girlfriends avatar....what a healthy relationship we have

Another week, another contest. This week as part of our ongoing XBLIG Spotlight, we are giving away the incredibly difficult to beat (as in no one has yet to do so!) platformer: Cecil Jenkins Notebook Adventures. Details on how to enter can be found HERE. As usual we are allowing for multiple entries.

I will be announcing the winner of Yar's Revenge for April's CBR Rewards shortly, and will be posting information on May's CBR Rewards tonight. (Believe me, you'll probably be interested in that!)

And if you don't remember, the CBR Rewards program is where we reward one random person who has commented on our site (in a given time period/not for another contest) with free stuff!

Last day to enter for the XBLIG Cecil Jenkins Notebook Adventures, a fun all be it difficult platformer.

It is also day two of our contest for Mos Speedrun for iPhone and iPad devices. We haven't had a lot of entries for either, so odds are good.

Don't know if anyone would have any interest, but I've got six iTunes codes to download the song "The Roller" by "Beady Eye" if anyone is interested. Just post here if you would like one.

We've only had one past CBR Rewards winner as this is only the 2nd month of doing it. If you look through our twitter timeline you will see his @ response to CBR announcing he won, but typically we don't publisher the names of contest winners (but we do keep an internal list). If the winners want to publicly acknowledge their win that's great, and in fact, we definitely encourage it as any past winners could acknowledge, but I've just experienced it enough times personally that sometimes dozens of people will message a winner to try and offer trades or even outright beg for the prize (really amazing how many people do this) so for at least the time being we don't make those names public and let the winners decide if they want to do so themselves. (Especially since the majority of the time users are also entering with twitter and Facebook making it very easy to borderline harass them) If demand for said list grows we will consider it, but so far only two people have actually asked about the names of winners.

As for comments. We select a random comment from the time period, this case May, as the winner, so obviously the more post you have the better shot you have of winning. That being said, as stated in the Rewards FAQ, if we feel that your comments have crossed the line from being meaningful to basically spaming the site for as many contest entries as possible, we will start deleting your comments and potentially mark you as spam forcing your comments to be approved one by one. I in fact deleted a comment last night where the individual clearly hadn't even read the article in question. I don't plan to implement this "clause" often, but I also don't want the site spammed with comments like "Awesome!"

This week as part of our XBLIG Spotlight you could win a copy of a fun little puzzle game by the name of Starzzle. Don't let the bright and colorful art design fool you, it actually gets kind of tough. Click here for more details on that. Contest goes till Wednesday at 8pm CST.

And don't forget about CBR Rewards and your opportunity to win Torchlight!

May's CBR Rewards is official, the prize is none other than Torchlight for XBLA!

Less than 24 hours to enter for a chance to win Starzzle.

Bonus Contest: First person to correctly post the highest and lowest reviewed games on CBR will win a code for the XBLIG Cell.

Starting.... now!

(Just a hint) This is a sort of trick question as there are three games that share the title of highest rated currently)

(Another hint) It is not an iTuesday or XBLIG review.

Highest:

Vanquish
Splinter Cell Conviction
Torchlight for XBLA

Lowest:

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Those probably aren't them but that's the highest/lowest i could find out of my patience because the site is loading VERY slowly.

^You are the winner and yeah, right after I posted the contest we had a 25% increase in traffic for the day in about 30 seconds. So I do apologize for that, wasn't expect such a big response.. Your code is on its way.
