Mag Prices - $5 single issue, $15 year sub of 10 issues not 12(2 months of coupons overlaps)

SUBSCRIBING - (In-Store vs Online)
In-Store - You get the current months mag for FREE JUST HAVE THEM SCAN IT when you bring the subscription receipt($15) from the gaming pre-order kiosk. Keep this receipt in the event you don't get the next months mag & a gaming rep MAY allow you to use a store copy until you start getting yours in the mail. It's usually 6-8 weeks BEFORE you should start receiving your 1st issue.

Online - You pay the $15 subscription price just as you do in-store but you don't get the free instant copy(EVEN IF YOU GO IN-STORE AFTER DOING IT ONLINE) & it's usually 4-6 weeks BEFORE you should start receiving your 1st issue.

I have a question about this @gamer subscription. So i paid for the membership but the sales rep wouldn't give me the magazine saying my magazine should come in the mail in 2 weeks. I thought I was suppose to get the first mag in-store. He told me I had to pay for this magazine if I wanted it. Is this true?

I did read the first post before I went in-store and thought I would get the first mag but he kept insisting I was going to get it in the mail. The first post said they have to scan the mag but he wouldn't even scan the mag.

Exactly. I would even go back now and speak with a manager. They should know to scan the kiosk voucher, then scan the magazine and both show up on your receipt for 14.99. I don't know if the employee was uninformed, or just a jerk or what. Maybe trying to keep the magazines for individual sale? Whatever it is.
 
If April's magazine is out, does that mean that March's is no longer in the store? I was thinking about stopping by BB on Friday and signing up and getting a few games with March's edition.
 
I tried the homefront coupon but it didn't work so guys don't waste your time checking yourself. What ever happened last month with the coupons working early was a fluke

Actually I think last month the coupons started working only 1-2 days early. So if anything I'd check back come Friday or so.

No, in one of my stores, they have months of back issues available including March's. However, the YMMV part might be if they give you the March issue for free with your April. I don't see why they wouldn't if you ask nicely but you never know. Good luck.

Is this true?[/QUOTE]You should've just told them you want to buy the mag along with the sub then, once they scanned the barcode for both the $5 charge would've been zero'd out at that point it should've been evident that you are correct. Go back to the OP & look in the blue section there's a link for a solution to getting coupon use in stores, won't help you now but will in the future. And unfortunately, I wouldn't bank on seeing that mag in 2 weeks either.

Hopefully we can get a special tier added to GCU that would allow people who don't spend $2500 to get in on the action as well. There's a link in the OP in the blue section regarding this additional tier full of perks that should make most CAG's very happy.
 
Just got my April Mag today! very happy at the delivery as I signed up on March 4 in store. Came with all the coupons and little pack of Kid Icarus cards. Guess I will try to sell those to someone since no one I know has a 3DS...

Make sure you vote to get coupon access online so you won't have to worry about your store having copies.
 
Wow, they address coupons in the Mag this month in the Letters making it clear they encourage "double dipping" with coupons and sale prices and how stores should always honor it. Also clarify the coupons do not stack on the buy 2 get 3rd free type deals. Might keep this issue handy anytime a store employee tries to tell me the coupon doesn't stack.

A lot of times the problem with employees that don't want to do what they are supposed to do is that they've convinced themselves that they are right and you are just trying to trick them. Rightly or wrongly, they don't have any interest in anything you want to show them, because it's just part of your "ruse." Maybe it'd be helpful if you have a manager or something that is above average, but that is about it.

Snagged a home front at my local store for next week. Btw they have a other M clearanced for $20, does the coupon say you have to purchase both to get discount?

I know they probably won't go for the full $30 off, but think they will give it to me free.
 
The way the coupons are worded, it looks like you need to purchase Metroid AND S&P to get $30 off. Same thing with Steel Diver and Pilot Wings for $20 off.

At least IIRC, when the verbage is "and" and not "or" that's how it was with Lego Harry Potter or whatever crap a few months back right?

Someone on craigslist wants to buy my kid icarus cards for 2$ a piece which is great for me as I have no interest in these cards. As for these coupons I'm considering buying a used homefront copy now to do a return rebuy

Where is this? The letters section I found just talks about Prototype 2. I would like to use this issue the next time a employee questions me too.

The one I saw at my store had the cards in the mag.
 
The three cards contained in each pack are the exact same.

For those who sent me offers, I'll be going to BB over the weekend. If I strike out, then, if your cards are still up for grabs, I'll take at least one of you up on that offer. Obviously, if I can get the cards in store for $5, I'd rather do that. ;)

Out of curiosity I used the store checker to try to find new copys of metroid the other m and sin and punishment but neither game is avalible in the store checker, just the used ones. Why in the world would bestbuy give us a coupon for two games that aren't even avalible on their own website ? It's a waste of a coupon if you ask me. A b1g1 free on used games 19.99 or less coupon or something like that would have been much better

Went to a local BBY to ask this very question. Employee showed me the stack of magazines to be put out next week and it DID include a pack of AR cards. The cards seem to be Pit Rally Cry, Samurai Blade, and Pandora
Still haven't received my own copy -___-
 
Is it really true that pre-ordering Prototype 2 will get you a free copy of the April magazine? How much is the pre-order? And if it's cheap, like a dollar, can you do multiple pre-orders at different BBs and keep getting free magazines?
