Although speaking of thread death, it may well be getting close to thread-closing time, since we've got more than 2,500 posts in this one. Can't be good for the server when it's opened constantly! And with two threads now a new one won't get as high nearly as fast.

Agreed. I am going to make a new online discussion thread. The other thread will be left alone seeing as it only has like 8 pages.
