erase a GBA Bomberman Tournament save file?

Snagged a couple of Bomberman Tournament carts form Gamestop to try and get my kids hooked on Bomberman.

2 saves files on the carts with no way apparent to delete the save file... so how do I delete them without just overwriting them?

Have you tried pulling the carts out with the power on? That's worked for me (on an accidental basis, at least) a couple of times in the past.

Possibly a dumb suggestion, but maybe an FAQ on Gamefaqs might list that info? Seems like some games will have that option if you press and hold a bunch of buttons while booting the system? Don't think there's anything universal to do it though.

Already tried all that. I even wrote to Hudson Entertainment 2 weeks back, and they didn't know.

Try holding L + R when turning on the GBA.
