The precedent *has* already been set:
- when Mario 1/2/3 was ported to the brand-new Super Nintendo
I see nothing wrong with giving the audience what they want - FF7 done with realistic-looking people, instead of lego blocks. (Also FF6.) As long as they keep the everything else the same (materia, story, et cetera), I'll be happy.
As for FF10-2, it's just as good as the classic FF5. The job system let's you customize your characters.
