Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS Bundle at select retailers.

Nintendonly

CAGiversary!
HAHA. googled the bundle and found that Walmart has it in stock for store pick up or Fedex pickup.

Walmart

This is probably the last store to be able to pick it up easily without having to call around or drive around to find one.

No details yet because it was just leaked on NeoGAF, but I'll make the thread Wikified so that once information starts pouring through, people can edit the thread accordingly.

Fire Emblem is a pre-installed digital copy.

Adding a second image to confirm.

dxWhE.jpg

Second image is a bit misleading. The bundled system is NOT a 3DS XL like Nintendo is advertising at the top of the Game Informer page. It's just a regular 3DS.

I ordered just Fire Emblem a few weeks before the release date, and got a delay notice from Amazon. I received it yesterday, yet received an email from Amazon last night saying my Fire Emblem order would be further delayed. Probably just a mass email and my account hadn't been changed in the system, but it made me laugh to myself.
Graphically or gameplay wise?

Graphically I could put my vita in the microwave for a few minutes, drop it in the toilet, and then put in perhaps the worse vita game, little deviants and still have an image displayed that is better then the "let's make da background blurry to create a 3D gimmick effect so people don't realize da graphix stink"

I agree that the top four or five 3DS games are excellent games. But the software on that machine is absolute rubbish and anyone that says otherwise hasn't tried to use the browser or netflix on that brick.
Why are you even in this thread?
This thread is fun.

I own a 3DS (three actually).

I own fire emblem.
That doesn't really give you a valid reason to troll.

Yeah, i've had that happen at least once for aonther product.

I canceled the Newegg 'pre-order' I had for the game once I noticed the Bestbuy website showed my local store having stock, so I rushed out and waited 20 minutes for the employee to run around the store trying to find the two copies they had on hand lol.

What's scary is I didn't think the game would be so addicting; It hasn't even been 24 hours since I purchased FE:A and I already have 11 hours into it @_@
i have yet to find a vita game that pars with any of the big titles nintendo has been dishing out for 3ds, but i do agree that this is a great game. 20 hours in already and its only been day 2.
Only counter I can make is the PSP's heavy catalog of JRPG's, PS 1 classics, AC: Liberation, Persona 4 Golden, Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and the non-bugged version of Virtue's Last Reward.

The graphics on the 3Ds have also been getting better, grainy games like Asphalt that came out at launch and some of the Mario games with N64 type jaggy graphics did not impress me but Fire emblem and some of the other games have much better graphics than these games. Fire emblem is not grainy, pixelated or jaggy at all. The 3DS does best with cartoony type graphics but I suspect most games on the platform will use this style at least the ones I am interested in.

I had to go to two gamestops...sigh. I had one reserved, but he wrote my name on the box. As a collector...I politely refused. I had to take my chances at another gamestop, which they held it for me and understood what exactly I was buying it for. Stacked it with a coupon and was out the door. Feel bad for the next person to get that box for collection...

Oh geez, that's horrible as I hate stickers much less writing, on my boxes. Fortunately, my GS's aren't that stupid, they use sticky notes when I call in to hold stuff.
Writing on the system's box. Where do they hire these GS monkeys from? lol
Best part is the guy's gonna complain about that guy who didn't pick up a system because he wrote on the box.

The employee could also cover it up with gamestop stickers lol.

I hear it's easier to lure in little children with a 3DS compared to a Vita. Can you confirm?

Have you played Persona 4 Golden? I don't own a Vita, but I've definitely been tempted to buy 1 just to play that game.

If the Vita would play my UMD collection, I would have that as nothing interests me on 3DS except for Fire Emblem & Mario and the 3D in the 3DS makes my head hurt.

Pre-orders at newegg.com for the bundle are in the packaging stage now. Looks like they finally got their first wave of Fire Emblem stuff in. :)

I've been wondering, are people having trouble getting a bundle because i've seen a few stores around my area that have at least 1 bundle available

Same here. Every GameStop around me has 1 bundle available. And it looks like they're for sale too, not just pre-orders being held.

Man, I take it you guys haven't heard the news, but it looks like Nintendo of Europe is going to release a Fire Emblem Limited Edition 3DS XL. And according to a source, it's going to have that Fire Emblem logo on it.

Can you show me where in that source it states what the Fire Emblem console will look like?

Oh you're going by this:

Additionally, the captivating world of Fire Emblem: Awakening for Nintendo 3DS is about to open up for European fans. In celebration, the Nintendo 3DS XL Limited Edition Pack with Fire Emblem: Awakening pre-installed, which includes an exclusive blue Nintendo 3DS XL console with Fire Emblem art imprinted on the console itself, will be arriving in shops alongside the release of the standalone game from 19th April.

Not really confirmation that it will be the same except XL. Also doesn't help many people in the U.S. that want a functional XL as they are region locked.
where can i get fire emblem xl bundle that will ship to usa?
I dont know but remember the 3DS is region locked so be cautious about your purchase

If you watch Nintendo Direct's EU stream, they show the 3DS Fire Emblem XL.
How is a used copy considered mint?
Well, to be fair, Gamestop sells lots of used games as "new"... :).

Also, Texas represent.

Yeah, I'm currently at work so I couldn't provide a picture asap until some news source provided it. Either way, the 3DS XL doesn't look as good as the 3DS version since it's lacking those design borders in my opinion.
Don't fret, we got the better bundle:

I agree; the 3DS XL just looks like a decal. I also like the color of the FE 3DS better.

To me the 3DS XL looks like a blue/black standard XL with a sticker. Is that the same blue as the Blue/Black XL or is it a different shade?
Don't fret, we got the better bundle:

Agreed, not only that but the regular 3DS, the artwork looks like it's behind a glass enclosure. On the 3DS XL, it'll probably look like someone slapped a sticker on the blue 3DS XL.

Agreed.

Then again I would have bought the XL version in a heartbeat and I still can't seem to pull the trigger on the vanilla 3DS even though i really like it.

maybe I'm just lying to myself

XL looks like the launch blue with a decal slapped on it.

Not impressed.

I love my FE bundle 3DS. The color is awesome in the light. Its a nice blue similar to the DS Lite's cobalt blue. Plus my appears to have a nice transition to a darker blue at the bottom of the system.

wow the 3DS console sure looks great compared to the XL.

So where are all the "would buy this if it were XL" people? Cause while opinions are subjective, anyone who thinks the XL version is better must be blind.

The XL is the superior system ... sure the 3DS version looks a bit nicer, but you're buying a console to play it, not stare at the outside. Even with the lack of visual flair on the XL Fire Emblem bundle, I would be pissed at NOA for releasing an inferior bundle in the US.

The only thing the original 3DS has going for it over the XL is a slightly smaller form factor. Otherwise, the XL offers larger screens, a better finish, a more comfortable fit in one's hands and higher quality start, select and home buttons.

Maybe the XL is too big for someones liking and the added screen size and inferior speakers aren't enough of a justification for the upgrade?

I have both but I don't like using the XL outside of my house. From the article it appears they are going to make a circle pad pro for the XL which would only INCREASE its size.

For me portables are suppose to be portable. if the XL already had two analog sticks then I'd be fine with it. But no way would I add anything to it to increase its already large size.
