All Playstation 1 games $2 (both used & new)

GR is clearing out their stock of Playstation one games for $2 a piece. Get them while they last.

DEAD: Ended 8/7/06 Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game

Receive an extra $5 PER GAME when you trade in 3 or more games. Games must have a used price of $7.99 or more to qualify for the extra $5. Also, 2005 and 2k5 sports games and newer WILL count for the bonus.

The employee must adjust the trade-in price of the games manually, but there is an option in the computer specifically set up for this deal. It is option #2 and will say something along the lines of "Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game". The employee must do this for each of the games that qualify.

75% off Select New Games & New Accessories

Please note: The prices listed are the 75% off price.

This sale is also good at regular Blockbusters (YMMV at franchised locations), but your selection there is obviously going to be limited compared to GameRush stores.
Blockbuster has Value Cards too, they just look different. I use mine all the time.
You use your GameRush value card at Blockbusters that don't have GR all the time? Or you use BB value cards all the time?

GR value card. I didn't have a BB value card until last time I traded there and they they couldn't get my credit on mine for some reason, so they gave me a second one.

Alright, good. The 2 BB's near me barely get any traffic, so I'm hoping to get the rest of the games on my list. :D At least now I won't worry that I'll look dumb using a GR card at a BB that doesn't have a GR. Thanks Botticus.

Anyone gotten rejected for using GBA games with the trade-in deal? I think they were technically not included, but I figure if they meet the value requirement, I should be okay unless someone is particularly anal.

More cheapy trade in value games after $5 bonus:

XBX-DeusEX: Invisble War - 6.00
PS2-EdenProject - .25 ( no bonus)
PS2-Get On Da Mic (no mic) - 7.50
PS2-007: Agent Under Fire - 5.00 ( no bonus )

Oh yeah:

Pac N Roll: $4.50
Dr. Mario/Puzzle League: $10

Will be trading those in with Getting Up for a cool $45 on an investment of $23 (after PG rebate for Pac N Roll).
Yeah, I thought about EBAYing it, but this is like my "fun" game money. I try not to spend my "real" money on full priced games....Just trying to decide if I want a PS3 or Wii. Could be nice, but not sure if I really need it. I have a 360 already. I guess I could hook it up to my spare 26" LCD (since it's being used a PC monitor)
You should get a DS Lite. I was never into portable gaming either, until I got a DS. Now I probably play it more than my GC and PS2 combined. And the Wii has alot of potential - so you might want to hold some credit for reserve just in case. It should be a different enough experience from your Xbox.

Botticus - I never considered Dr Mario/Puzzle League as a trade-in. I have an extra of that too, and was just thinking about ebaying it for $1 or $2 profit. Considering the risk in that, I'll just trade it in. Thanks!
The store I went to put the "clearance" games in one place, there were a few of them, mostly doubles of garbage games and they had a "blue circle" sticker to signify that they were on clearance. The best one was Killer 7 for GC, but it was marked at $29.99. I asked the clerk if she could scan a Megam Man Collection and Capcom Classics Collection, but instead she pointed me to the above^ pile of games (Killer 7, Madden o6 DS, Scooby Doo, Incredibles, etc.) Now, does this mean that only those games were on sale, or if she had scanned the MM collection, would it have been at $5?? I am confuused.:boxing:
I had a couple BB employees treat me like this or tell me games weren't on clearance with authority in their voice. Luckily, I know they're clueless so I told them to scan the games and didn't take no for an answer. Every game came up the price it was supposed to. I'm sorry, but if you're 40 years old and working at a video store for $6 an hour, I'm not going to take your word for anything.

Yeah, I was going to return it (no one wanted it here) with Pac N Roll, but then I remembered there's one more Getting Up at my CC that needs a home, and I haven't traded it much if at all at the Macedonia GR, so might as well do it when I'm going to be there anyway.

I went to our local Blockbuster (Maple Valley, WA - Lake Wilderness Village) and they had one large bin with games marked "Clearance." After pilfering in there for a while, I got XBOX Minority Report for $4.99 and GC "SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" for $5.00. Both were brand new, still sealed. Not too shabby.

Id love to find me a wavebird... will be checking about 4 BB's on my trip home today from work

Already picked up the Justice League GCN controller set, for 5 bucks its a good deal

picked up budokai 3, viewtiful joe 2 and some first party GCN controllers for my Wii in the future. I found a gamerush that didn't update their signage and most of the games are still marked original price. I guess if anyone wants me to check something out i can, just PM me.

Question: I hear so much good stuff about the wavebird controllers but I didn't find any at the one I went to. Are they really all that good? i mean i've played the regular GCN controllers with the ultra short cord and all but I can't help but think that it just seems pointless to have a peripheral that you need to keep throwing money into. Maybe it's because i really don't use many things with batteries or the ones I do are rechargable. Anywho, thoughts and opinions???
Checked 3 GR's and have found no trace of a Logitech Cordless Action or Wavebird controller
Don't feel too bad - mine didn't have them when 50% first hit 3 months ago or so. I'm amazed that anyone is able to find either at this point, as there can't be more than a few left chain-wide.

So, has anyone else had their local BB's claim to be "not participating" in the bonus deal? Or am I just particularly unlucky?

Botticus - I assume GBA games were part of this deal (unlike at EB). If they aren't supposed to be, I guess I ought to gather all the ones I might want to trade in and bring 'em down soon. The GBA prices are all over the place. If it is one of their clearanced games (and I think our GBA list is the most incomplete) then of course it will get squat. But others have surprisingly high values. I might just take several that I hadn't even considered trading before (like The Hobbit, Bionicle, PowerPuff Girls - stuff I've picked up cheap over the years for the kids but they don't touch as they mostly play DS games now!) and just see what happens.

I just called my local BB and they said they either had never had some games (Such as Donkey Konga) in stock, and also, when they had pikimin 2, they said it was a used game & $20. Any help?

Batteries aren't much of a concern with the Wavebird. I've only had to replace batteries once in over a year, and those were the ones that came with the controller.
Valid trade titles must have a resale value of $7.99 each or greater and be PSP, PS2, XBOX, XBOX 360, GCUBE, or NDS formats to be eligible for this offer.
So technically, GBA isn't included, but I doubt anyone reads the limitations that closely.

Uh, I can't see playing the Gamecube WITHOUT Wavebirds. What is this "throwing money into" business? I use rechargeable batteries in mine - they work just fine.

My kids broke one of our WB's, but fortunately my GR got a used one in that looked new. I was able to snag that with the 50% off used accessories.

By the way, I was told that part of the sale is over (no more cheap PS2 memory cards). I know we've heard that before - just some more confirmation.

Used games aren't part of the sale. Pikmin 2 new is $5.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Midway Arcade Treasures 3 (xbox) rang up at $7.99 for me rather than the $3.25 price.
Same here. also Stolen (xbox) came up at $5.00 not $2.50 as listed. also something new to add to the list is ESPN NBA Basketball xbox is $2.50

Does anybody know the price for Mario Tennis GBA??????
Same here. also Stolen (xbox) came up at $5.00 not $2.50 as listed. also something new to add to the list is ESPN NBA Basketball xbox is $2.50
I also found Xbox MAT3 for that price; it was on a non-clearance shelf and stickered at $7.99.
Should I feel ashamed that I spend $100 on 20 games?
If you can sell each one for $13 after playing them, then no.

I passed up a crap load of games at the three GR's I attacked. Me and four of my friends got a whole bunch of titles but left more then enough for others. I wrote a post about the past CC/GR sales on my website and my finds and savings.

http://vanlandw.com/?p=45

Well, I bought NBA Street Vol. 3 for Xbox and it's price is $7.50 which is a buck less than at CC if you can find it. Also, ment to mention that I got the last of the clearance Xbox Live 12 month kits at the Allen Park Gamerush here in MI, I wish they would have had the MechAssault one but they only had the Crimson Skies one which I had got a couple of weeks back which means I now have 2 years of Xbox Live, 2 Crimson Skies, and 2 Xbox Live Headsets for about 30 bucks out of pocket.

Nothing was at the 2 BB's I checked. I went back up to my GR, and there were still tons of Black Arrows, Timesplitters: FP, SSX On Tour, and Eyetoy: Play, and Groove, but I didn't get anything. They also had moved Xenosaga 2 to the clearance bin because I showed them that it was $5 when I bought it a few days ago. But one of the Xenos was marked $3.75 and I payed $5 for mine, and my cheap side is angry right now. They also had 1 copy of Unreal Championsip 2, but I passed on it and the other Xbox games because they're not backwards compatible. :(

Well, if you are using credit built up from the likes of Red Ninja, Marc Ecko, Flatout, etc, it is actually considerably cheaper than CC.

I was mildly annoyed that CC didn't put the PS2 version of Burnout Revenge on clearance and also that many other games I've been waiting for didn't get cleared out (like Destroy All Humans). Then I realized my GR credit runs at close to 45% of cost, so I could simply buy Burnout Revenge, DAH, or, in fact, many of the CC clearance games for about $9 in cash via GR credit. The only problem, of course, is that the selection at GR is limited (especially for GC). But Burnout Revenge is sitting there. For whatever reason, I haven't purchased it yet. I guess that despite the fact that I know I'd be getting it for $9 I have a hard time using $20 in credit. Of course, it if was $9 at CC I'd drive there (further than GR from my house) and get it in a heartbeat. Very strange...

look here today i traded in 6 games
Mark Ecko- $21 ps2
Driver- $21 ps2
Sonic Adventure DX Collector's ED- $12 GC
Farcry- $11
Half-life 2- $11
here is the thing, they gave me $5 extra for EVERY game except for the Outlaw vollyball(.50). is that supposed to happen?

Its not just you who thinks this way. If I see a chance to buy something with cash to double up at GR, I am there in a heart beat. Even when I already have a stockpile of GR credit (already earmarked for WII), I just cant pass up feeling like I am doubling my cash investment... regardless if its only credit.

Actually, I did use a Mark Echo and Driver: PL to trade in today along with PD0:LE 360 and GUN 360.

That is why I went to CC before going to Gamerush to pick up the copy of Mark Echo and Driver: PL since I know they trade-in double of what I paid for them in cash.
look here today i traded in 6 games
Mark Ecko- $21 ps2
Driver- $21 ps2
Sonic Adventure DX Collector's ED- $12 GC
Farcry- $11
Half-life 2- $11
here is the thing, they gave me $5 extra for EVERY game except for the Outlaw vollyball(.50). is that supposed to happen?
Yes, because if they gave you the extra 5 bucks for Outlaw it would have made it more than it sales for used that is why they didn't give you five for it.

I hit one store on my way home and did pretty good. (all games are new and sealed, was expecting used):D All XBOX.

Rallisport 2 $4.25
Area 51 - $5.00
Dead or Alive Ultimate - $5.00
Fight Club -$5.00
Advent Rising -$7.50
Men Of Valor - $2.50
Razes Hell -$5.00
Feel The Magic DS - $5.00

Traded in the games mentioned first post of this page. Met up with MightySlacker to hand him his DS Lite, which led to some enjoyment tangling with the manager to get a cash refund for me so he could rebuy it with his credit :D

Tons of clearance games here. I picked up 7, including the MK Deception Premium Edition. Lots of Baten Kaitos, Metroid Prime 2s, NBA Street V3s, Mega Man Anniversary Collections (PS2), etc, etc.
wait, i wanna know where to get the 1 gb memory card for 20$, what is the link, or where is it, i know gamerush, but a link? (STRAIGHT TO THE MEMORY CARD, DONT GIVE ME WWW.GAMEWRUSH.COM)
The only link we can give you is to tell you to link your car keys to your car and drive down there (or possibly your mouth to your phone to call).

It is not available online, only in store, and you are very unlikely to find one now. But it is worth a shot if you have a GR nearby.

The only way to get the memory card is to go to a GR near you, not online. So yes, go to gamerush.com and find a location near you to see if they have it in stock;)

It's $15 not $20...and I had to go to 10 Game Rush stores to find 1...so good luck. Most of these sold at half off.

I went to a Gamerush today which refused to sell me any of the 75% off games. They said it was a pricing error, I'm going to go back Friday and see if they still say the same thing.
I found one Wavebird for $7.50. Already had 2 that I traded for quite a while ago. They're a necessity for me since I have big screen TV (65 inch widescreen) and I have to sit more than 6 feet away from it to see it. I have replaced the batteries in one of my controllers once in over a year...and that was because I accidentally left the thing on for a week. You have to actually turn them off when not in use. The other controller is still on the original batteries a year later.

They actually make Wavebird rechargeable batter packs...and if you can find THOSE at Gamerush (I found 2) they are 25 cents each. They plug into the wall and give you 12 hours of play per charge. I probably won't use them though...as the Wavebirds use like 25 cents worth of batteries a year as it is. It would cost me more in electricity to charge the rechargeable batteries probably. I just bought them because I'm a Nintendo completist dork and they were only 25 cents each.

How could they be so utterly clueless? Even my out of the way, forgotten step-child of a GR knew about this on day ONE and was repricing everything accordingly.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Midway Arcade Treasures 3 (xbox) rang up at $7.99 for me rather than the $3.25 price.
Yeah I mentioned that earlier. I had the same experience.
Same here. also Stolen (xbox) came up at $5.00 not $2.50 as listed. also something new to add to the list is ESPN NBA Basketball xbox is $2.50

Does anybody know the price for Mario Tennis GBA??????
I mentioned that already too. The Xbox one comes up $5 for some reason and the PS2 one comes up for $2.50.

I just called my GR about a 1 GIG mem stick price and they told me 34.99. I forgot to ask them if it was 75% off all games (I guess I figured if the mem stick wasnt 20 then the games wouldnt be on sale). Can anyone confirm this sale for Torrance CA on Hawthorne?

The 1 gig was never $34.99...it's original markdown price was $60, then $30, and now $15. They're either making up prices or they were looking at a price tag on an old 512 stick, which I think was $34.99 at one point. Personally, I think calling is a waste of time. Asking prices in store is a waste of time. Just have them scan it...otherwise they look at the tag on the item and tell you it's that price.
