1 out = $14.99 the first month....$19.99 thereafter

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. All Dreamcast, Snes, Genesis, and Nes games are $0.99. Games available depend on which store you go to. Games may not be marked as $0.99, but they will ring up that price. Trade in value of all games on these systems is now $0.25.

OTHER INFO

I consider deals confirmed when I receive the MAP on every other Thursday. The Map outlines promos and how the store is to be layed out and includes the barcodes for the deals. Also we get the new trade flyers that day as well with new trade values and deals.

Deals usually end on close of business on Monday and begin on open Tuesday (some special ones do start on Thursday usually around labor day, memorial day, etc.)

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you.

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by flipping games) they do have the abillity to ban you from all GameRush locations if they want to (and as I have done but that was only because I was tired of crap PS1...).

Release dates - Go by the shipping date. 9 times out of 10 it is not what the Blockbuster computer says. The computer date is when traditional stores can expect to receive their rental games.

Game Rush receives games typically on Tuesday and Wednesday of the games release. Only reason EB and Gamestop get them a day before is because they get special shipments or their dm picks the games up and brings back that evening (or they are near distribution centers).

Some games have street dates but this is few and far between (outrun 2, halo 2, star wars episode 3, doom 3 are it in the past 6 months).

finally got to trade in some stuff,

traded in:
XIII (Xbox)
Blinx: The Time Sweeper (Xbox)
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X (PS2)
Namco Museum (Xbox)
The Thing (Xbox)
Raze's Hell (Xbox

they gave me $25 in store credit, so I got Star Wars: Battlefront for Xbox for myself, and Pokemon Colliseum for my brother, both for $5 a piece. I still have $14 and some change in credit they gave back to me.

thanks to the OP.
Used N64, sports for 2.99 for the most part, or 1.99. Other games are usually 4.99-7.99. Nothing really extraordinary, they are priced a bit too high, IMO. They don't fall under the .99 retro games deal.

I haven't seen very many used DC games, but I'd assume that it doesn't fall under the .99 deal either.
All DC games are .99 but good luck finding any. Someone actually did trade in a Virtual Tennis which I was gonna pick up but the girl was taking too long so I passed. I'll get it next time.
i just found out the deal is dead in south carolina and north carolina, the same person is over the whole 2 states and cancelled all deals till futher notice

Hey Cory or anybody else that is a Gamerush employee,

With the new XBOX 360 games, does the trade 2, get one new for 29.99 deal still apply? If so, how must it be input in the computer?

I was just at blockbuster and the manager I am cool with tried to enter it in for Call of Duty 2 (59.99) and it didn't work. So we tried Madden 2006 (49.99) and got the same thing. He said he would do it, but it's not going through the computer. Is there a way around this without manually adjusting the price? Thanks in advance for the help.
Not that I'm aware of. Its probably just not in their to work with them yet or they may not even be coded for games in the system (odd I know but hey blockbuster screwed up my new store and made us software only till my dl can get it fixed)
So is GR taking system preorders now? How much do they require you pay down on the system?
I don't think the XBOX 360 is in the system yet.....just about 11 games or so.
The Tezel store is taking XBOX360 preorders and about 10 360 games. I saw all the ones you want to preorder on the list they had. The games list in the system for 49.99 also.
I was looking for confirmation from a more reliable source. ;)

lol sorry but I had to point out how funny I think it is that Freestyle Street Soccer doesn't count towards the deals.

My local GR have 50% sales on new game start tomorrow but i wonder which games in on 50% off list ??

Anyone working at GR wanna give us the list ??

Actually, it was a gamerush and the games were in the system with the order numbers, prices, and everything. It was weird, but the system would not take it. Any ideas?

Just that there I mentioned. I'm sure whatever it is it's the same reason you can't do the deal on Donkey Konga w/Bongos or other items of the like.

List has been on the front page for awhile now... it's Nintendo games, mostly GC and GBA.

What's notable that I remember for GBA is Pokemon Leaf Green / Fire Red for 17.50 and Final Fantasy 1 and 2 for 14.99.

If your Gamerush is anything like mine, they'll only have 2 or 3 copies of each game for this sale, unless they got in more today and are waiting for Tuesday to put it out.

I missed out on all the sales on Pokemon before, and I am PSYCHED to get it for 17.50... that's cheaper than any price around, and you still get the free wireless adapter! Hell, EB and Gamestop want 30 used and they don't even include the adapter.
What do GR usually charge for a used Dreamcast?

Also does anyone know how much Gamecrazy charges for a used Dreamcast?
GR sells used Dreamcasts for $9.99.

Last I recall, Gamecrazy sells them for somewhere around $20-30 (might have been $25, but I don't remember)

I'm guessing that 50% off Nintendo games deal only applies to new titles is that correct?

Also, has the price on Burnout 3 been lowered at GR yet? The last time I went the price was still around $35 for a used copy.
I'm guessing that 50% off Nintendo games deal only applies to new titles is that correct?

Yea, only new titles... but it's still a hell of a deal, espically since Nintendo stuff barely ever drops.

It is, I repriced them today - though some stores will be behind w/memorial day...I know I am. it is changed in the computer though.

So the discount will be taken off automatically at the register? I know with the $9.99 new game deal, the cashier had to manually scan in a barcode - it was a pain since most cashiers had to look up each game to make sure they were on the list.
I was looking for confirmation from a more reliable source. ;)
The Tezel store in San Antonio is taking preodrers on the XBOX360 for $50.00 and about 10 games which at that time were 49.99 in the system. They had a tent out with flyers, spec sheets, screen shots and preorder boxes for the games. Just because I don't have 5000 posts does not mean information I provide is not reliable. If you like you can call the store and ask(210) 520-7860. Tell them Steve S. sent ya :D. Oh they also had the same info for PS3, but weren't taking preorders yet.

Oh no I got mixed up. Burnout 3 is repriced now but it is $19.99 and is not supposed to work with the $9.99 new games (that I know of)

The 50% off select Nintendo titles is a barcode taken off at the register.

Just a reminder that the 50% select Nintendo titles and $4.99 hip controller w/new game purchase begins Tuesday, May 31.

Cory do you by chance know how much Mario Power Tennis new goes for at GR...I would think it still is 49.99, but I remember seeing a few copies used marked at 36.99 or something close--leading me to believe GR may sell new copies for 39.99

Getting it for 20 bucks tomorrow beats waiting for another year for it to go to Players Choice!

Hey nothing personal, we've got a couple people here that make the boy who cried wolf look bad so i was just wandering if anyone else had seen the same.:bouncy: Guys like Cameltoe 69 are just a pain.

Ive found if you preorder a game you dont want, you can switch it to a 360 game later on. Thats what i did. I had about 9 or 10 games on my preorder list that i wanted to switch. I just had to pay the difference on 2 of them. I dont know if all GR's will allow the switch of presales but you can always try.

The 50% sale is official!

Here's some notes for my fellow CAG's: In the GR here, they were on an endcap, waaaay in the back of the store with a little sign that said "50% off STICKER PRICE!!". They only had Pokemon (both versions), Mario Tennis, Four Swords, F-Zero: GP Legend, Final Fantasy 1 + 2, and DKC 2. Pickings were VERY slim, only 1 or 2 copies of each.

The cashier didn't know they were on sale (they don't come up manually when you scan them in. Make sure to remind them that they ARE on sale, because she scanned something next to the computer and they both came up 50% off. I almost shit my pants when she told me my total was 80.14, but luckily she just forgot to scan the 50% off sale UPC.

Here's the prices for the games I rememeber, at 50% off -

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: 22.50
F-Zero: GP Legend - 9.99
Pokemon - 17.50
Four Swords - 19.99
Mario Tennis - 24.99
Donkey Kong Country 2 - 14.99
Final Fantasy 1 + 2 - 14.99
NES Classics - 7.50

I nabbed a Four Swords and Pokemon: Leaf Green for 40 dollars after tax... not too shabby. Now that I think about it, Jungle Beat may have been part of the sale, but in the case... it wasn't with the other games.

Fire Red and Leaf Green are the ones for 17.50.

The two GameRushes in my area were USELESS. The first one I went to, the manager just stared at me blankly when I asked about it, then asked if I wanted to get a used Cube and get RE4 for free. The second one hasn't even opened today, citing "computer problems"

Ugh.

My local gamerush doesn't know anything about the 50% off nintendo games. Is there any thing I shoud tell them to make this 50% work?
Ive found if you preorder a game you dont want, you can switch it to a 360 game later on. Thats what i did. I had about 9 or 10 games on my preorder list that i wanted to switch. I just had to pay the difference on 2 of them. I dont know if all GR's will allow the switch of presales but you can always try.
it's an interesting thought but i am not super excited about dropping $40 per game on games that have really shaky release dates and that are launch titles of questionable quality (look at the general quality of the psp launch titles!), i think i might take a different tact towards purchasing next gen games given how low prices have become on games i just had to have in the fall/winter which i haven't even cracked the seal (not to mention that fry's will likely have whatever the 360 game of the moment is on sale for $45 ripe for a pricematch)

given the inability to do a trade 2 buy for 30 thing, i think i will be using my credit towards the system purchase

Yea, it's definately weird.

Mine had the endcap up, with a homemade sign in colored markers that said "SALE 50% OFF STICKER PRICE". The cashier knew NOTHING about it, and after about five minutes went "Oh, yea" and scanned something on the side of her monitor (I assume a UPC).

They don't ring up in the computer as 50% off, apparently, making it even harder for the sale to work.

I almost crapped myself when Pokemon and Four Swords rang up full price and the total was 80.10... I explained to her both games were 50% off, and she said "Where does it say THAT?" in a snotty tone of voice. I pointed to the sign and said "That large sign that says 50% off selected titles". This is when she paused for about 5 minutes and panicked a bit since a line was forming, and then scanned the UPC.

I saw no signage for this whatsoever except for the handmade sign... Gamerush employees DO have a sheet informing them about this sale, however, I saw it when I asked on Sunday.

If you encounter any problems with the Nintendo just have them look in their GameRush map 12. The barcode is in the back of this map to take the price down as well
