Please note: The 50% off prices will not show on the registers until the employee hits the "Total" button.

Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

Really... I doubt my GR has it, or I would have noticed it for $10.
Time for a new thread, methinks.

Usual routine, make new thread with new name, ask a mod to stick the new one and de-stick & close the old one.
These threads can get as big as they want as well, I thought. I only thought the 500 post limitation was due to the old, shitty servers.

I saw the Sony Battery Pack for PSP for $17.50 (after 50% off) at a local GR. I don't own a PSP yet, but plan to get one soon. Am I going to need this and is that a good price to buy now for when I get mine.

Also saw some SanDisc memory cards for PSP at 50% off too that I'm pretty sure I'll be needing, but I'm not sure exactly what a good price to pay for them is.

Thanks in advance to any CAGs for helping answer my questions.

If they have the 1GB SanDisk Pro Duo - BUY IT. $40 in GR credit is a very good price for that. The 512's aren't quite as great a deal as they are $30 after discount. I bought a 1GB to replace my Sony 512 MB I paid $55 for last summer :wall:.

I asked here about the battery pack as well and no one answered. I've been using my PSP lately and don't see the need for another battery, but I would buy it if it was the longer-lasting battery that Sony came out with. I'm not sure if it is. I don't need another like the one my PSP already has, that's for sure.

How'd you get it for $10?

It was a YMMV deal, but I lucked out. I didn't want to trade it in, but $30 is too much not to do it. I missed out on the Red Ninja deal, so I used this instead to go towards a used Call of Duty 2. I will probably get the game again once it drops to $10 or $15, I loved the first one but this one's getting average reviews.

I think we may have found our new Red Ninja!
Come on down contestants!
Our first and only contestant today is Full Spectrum Warrior:Ten Hammers for the XBox! Tell us a little bit about yourself!
FSW:TH Well, I only cost ten dollars used and I can fetch $30 at your local Blockbuster/Gamerush!

Can anybody confirm this? Check ebgames.com and search for FSW:TH. It should only be $9.99 used. I just called a Gamerush and they too confirmed the trade-in price at $30. If everything checks out, this means some more credit! Let me know what you guys think because I'm about to buy a bunch of them!

That was a mistake in a print ad. You are going to have a hard time price matching it anywhere.

On another note, I'll make a new GR thread when we get the new list of clearance games.

Whoa, this is creepy. I just went to ebgames.com and put 3 copies of FSW:TH into my cart for $9.99 each. Right after I saw your post, the price changed to $39.99 used. I'm gonna see if they'll actually honor what's in my shopping cart and ship it out to me!

Looks like the 360 used accessories aren't included in the 50% off. I tried today with a remote and after they hit total it was still full price.

Dead Rising is finally in their system available for preorder. I finally have something to switch my Godfather preorder to.

Also the 360 version of Hitman is in their system too.

Too bad the vBookie is down... we need to start betting on if GR will get a certain pair of DS games in this week. In addition to the only new Nintendo release since then, Odama.

The GR I went to today did not receive the list of new games yet. They were pretty sure they'd get it tomorrow though. Hopefully this isn't a bust.

Some bad news on Odama - I wasn't going to check today but I was at Best Buy and saw a copy there so I thought I'd give it a shot since I could stop by GR on the way home.

Of course, it was not there, but here's where it gets bad. Their computer shows a May release date (so expect to hear that when you check!) and worse of all - THEY HAVE NONE ON ORDER. Damn them to hell... I preordered the fucking game on January 30th, and they can't even order a single copy???

Not that having a copy on order means anything (see Metroid Prime Hunters, Tetris, and Tales of Legendia, among others), but it sure isn't a good sign when they don't even have it on order.

You know, if they decide they don't want to carry certain games that's fine, but then don't allow people to preorder them or at least inform people that their preorders will be cancelled and give them some sort of compensation! Instead the preorders just sit there well after the games come out...

If that's the case, then I guess the DM and I will be getting very close as we chat on the phone about my last three preorders being utterly worthless. I may just argue for a monetary refund so I can buy them elsewhere, since their store credit is becoming more useless every day - if I can't use it to buy new games, and I've already bought all the "new" and used games I want from their store, and I have BB Online, so get all the free rentals I want, what do I use it for?

Glad to see Dead Rising is in the system, not sure if I'll pre-order there though. I stilll have 3 360 games pre-ordered that I could switch, but I want those too (Halo3, Gears of War, Saint's Row)

When I picked up my KHII, they said it wasn't released until Friday, but the manager said it didn't matter, as long as they had it in and it wasn't before the universal release. So if they do get any in, you probably won't have to wait till May. But chances are they're not gonna get it in. :(

I went through the same stuff earlier this year and late last year with a couple pre-orders for the gamecube. It obviously makes no difference if you pre-order and they aren't getting the game in, they seem unable to pre-order anything that isn't coming in already. I was pretty upset about the whole experience, because the guy tried to offer me the $30 credit, for a $50 game, after they screwed up and didn't pre-order my game.

Did GameRush get the new MLB 2K6 today or the other new 360 games? I was going to buy at Best Buy, but I have my credit here also....so either one is an option for me.

No Ps3 preorder, correct?
Anyone get the scoop yet on what will be added to the 50% clearance on Tuesday?
I checked out 2 Gamerush stores in Central Florida - one at 10:30 and one at 11:15... nothing at either one and the second one said they received no info about a sale.

MLB2K6 is in for sale for X360, no rental copies yet.

The latest breaking news: No list of new clearance items is available yet, but I was told by a second GR manager that a list is indeed coming with an additional 300+ items on it. And over Memorial Day weekend all of the 50% off stuff will drop to 75% off. Around that same time there will also be a new trade-in deal and a deal on used games. Sometime after that all games that did not sell at 75% off will be field destroyed.

Looks like we should be in for some fun times ahead. I'm guessing BB is just late in sending out the new list of games to the stores, but since I've heard this from two managers at two different stores, I'm pretty positive something is in the works.

Hopefully there's some good stuff added, as I've already picked up the two or three items from the current list that I'm interested in, there or elsewhere.

And we need some random clearance at some other store to give us good fodder for a trade-in deal.

I'm going to hate myself in the morning, but I'm gonna put in a call to GR and futilely check about my Nintendo games shortly.

Shipwreck, know ya don't have a list yet, but have any idea if there will be any 360 titles on there (probably launch titles that have been out a while)?

Hoping that with 300+ items that there might be a few 360 games in there (just got a 360 so looking for 'em on the cheap).

I would seriously doubt that it included any 360 games. They only ordered 1-2 extra copies on all of those games, so I don't think they'd be trying to slash prices on them quite yet.

So anyone get the call for Tetris or MP:Hunters today? I talked with my usual GR guy and he said he has no idea what is taking so long. He called the DM and was told they have no idea why they have not recieved the games yet (this was on Saturday that I spoke with GR guy).

I hope this does not happen for Zelda.

See, that's just screwy. I'm with Botticus - they should provide $50 CASH so you can buy the game somewhere else. At the very least they should give you $50 in BB credit. I'm just not sure how much of a fuss I want to raise in trying to get more than the $50 credit. If nothing else, then, I can apply that to PS3 launch games.

With the sale going to 75% (yeah, I know that's still off a ways) I might have held back on a few of my purchases :D. Oh well, there's still a few games they haven't pulled and tagged that I might pick up then.

Wow, I can't believe they haven't fixed this yet. That is some seriously bad customer service. How do they expect people to keep trading in games for pre-order deals if they dont honor the deal? The extra $20 should be your to transfer to another new $50 game at least.

Well, if they simply cancel (or "deliver") your preorder without doing anything else you would get $50 (or whatever the value of the game is). What msdmoney was saying is that some GR people will actually deduct the $20 if they know you used the preorder deal to get it. However, as that deal is now in the distant past, this is less likely to happen now (ie, they won't remember the deal - at my GR half the employees weren't even around when that deal was active).

Where you get screwed is if you used the preorder deal to get a DS game (oh, say, like Metroid Prime Hunters) that is only $34.99 when you WOULD have used it for a $50 game if you had known they'd never get it. So if I end up having to cancel the Metroid preorder I'd like to be able to switch it to a $50 game - they can do this by simply crediting you the difference, which they have done for me on another game that never came in (Viewtiful Joe DS). But YMMV on all that - there is no consistent policy, though I'd suggest they develop a customer-friendly one as more of these games keep getting delayed/never delivered.

I talked to the employee at the Blue Springs, MO store, and said they are getting another list of 50% off games, they just haven't got the download (Err, I suppose she meant e-mail) yet. And she also confirmed some of the current tiltles going to 75% off. She had no idea when, but said to expect it soon, and not to expect 360 stuff.

From what I understand, they get an email that they somehow download (an attachment maybe) into their system to update the prices. At my GR they had done this the weekend before the original sale started, but then someone deleted the email and thus they had no list of the sale items . Worked out to my advantage as I was able to snag things like the 1GB pro duo without them even realizing they were on sale.
I hope they do the trade to get one $10 or trade 3 get one for $5 I have about 7 games I'm wanting to get rid of
It is unlikely they'd ever bring back those deals, but you never know. If they do, there's a (disc only, unfortunately) copy of DDS that has my name on it :D.

Any games that do not sell will be destroyed??? Does this spell the beginning of the end for Gamerush? Has Gamerush ever had a massive clearance such as this when the PS2 and Xbox launched?

Well, they did sell all their classic games for a dollar or somethin like that a few years ago.

Thanks for the info Shipwreck. I think I'm better off trading in my copies of Fight Night Round 3 and Kameo now, instead of waiting another 5 weeks, since I will lose $10-$15 by waiting, and I doubt the trade in deal will help for X360 preorders. I'll probably hold onto them for another week, hoping we get some info on the new deal.

It doesn't look good, does it? 300 titles being clearanced sounds like pretty much every game in the store to me. I've noticed the used sections looking bare lately (saw my two Red Ninjas displayed prominently on the shelf, with $44.95 price tags on them!!) with no sign of any new or recent titles traded in. In fact I'd say at least 50% of the used PS2 section consists of nothing but 2K3-4-5 sports games. How on Earth can Gamerush be making ANY money at all when they're clearancing what looks to be most of, if not all of their stock and getting consistently exploited on their trade values?

I agree that the used stock is getting pathetic - though I was in there the other day and they sold a used copy of Mario Party 5 at full used value to someone (he asked for any Mario party game).

But as for the 300 titles being clearanced, I'd say that is no big deal. They have at least that many old games at my GR, and they did tell me a few weeks back that they wanted to shrink the new game section a bit anyway. Plus we've got the next gen stuff coming. They have a TON of older PS2/Xbox (and a few GC) games that have sat there untouched for ages. Most of it is stuff that has been clearances out of other stores long ago.

HAY GUYS! Metroid Prime: Hunters and Tetris DS are "on order" and should be here any day now!

What the fuck? I ask about Odama (the guy on the phone had no idea what he was doing) and another employee is yelling out "any day now!" So I take it that's the official response to any questions of preorders arriving? This is awesome!

The annoying thing is, the DM's office is only open 9-5... and I don't think anyone at work would appreciate me bitching about video games on the phone in the office, so it's going to be rather difficult to complain about this.

I guess its a good thing that the list didn't come out this week. I'm pretty much tapped out. What's this about 300 titles being clearance? If its going to be that big it has to include new and used and already clearance stuff.

my trust fund is now tappable!!! waiting to buy out all the gamerush's around me once this list leaks onto the internet, be scared bb...be scared
