GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

I've never been to British Columbia either. I was thinking of doing Vancouver perhaps or even Nova Scotia, but BC could be fun too. If I had more people interested in meeting up (like a CAG/GFC gettogether) then I'd be all for it. If it's just going to be me and the wife, then we'll keep it relatively closeby since we're driving :)

Vancouver is in BC =p

Yes I realize Vancouver is in BC (I do ship there almost daily lol) but I meant elsewhere in BC. Not everyone in BC lives in Vancouver...though I assume a great majority do :) But yes, point taken. I realize the way I typed it made me sound n00bish and uninformed ^_^

I'm a bit late here, but I third PC Financial for banks. No fees on a chequing, and savings has one of the best interest rates (or, it used to, at 4% when I first opened it)

Is this something I will need to have a Canadian address for? I've noticed a lot of companies require a Canadian mailing address (which I obviously don't have). Hopefully not :( I have almost $200 CAD now in credit from Amazon.ca and no way to retrieve it =P

This is what it says on their website:

To apply for any of these products you must:
bullet1.gif
have reached the age of majority in your province
bullet1.gif
be a resident of Canada
spacer.gif
(President's Choice Financial services are not currently available to residents in Quebec)

Seems like I can't get an account there as I am not a resident of Canada :(

Magiic Here's an estimate:

$58.00 - Cost of case + Shipping to USA (They ship UPS - Cheapest option)
$05.00 - Shipping to Canada
$02.00 - GFC Service Charge
--------------------
$65.00 USD Total. Let me know if you want it ^_^

** Special Announcement **

I just wanted to say thanks again for all the support you guys have given me over the last year :) In our first year of GFC services, I'm happy to say that we just surpassed our 500th order! Not bad for starting from nothing ^_^ Here's to hoping we can get to 1000 orders by the end of the year! This includes Direct Request purchases as well as GFC store items on the website. Thanks again everyone! I am looking forward to meeting a few of you next week!

I just need to confirm it will fit the new iPhone 3GS. I want a case for it and my dad has one of these for his blackberry and it's cool. They want $50USD for shipping to Canada so GFC seemed like a good option. I just need to research more to confirm it will fit before I drop the coin on it.

According to the Apple conference and unveiling of the 3GS they said that it would be the same dimensions as the 3G, so I take that to mean yes it should absolutely fit into all 3G cases and such. It's up to you, but if you want it, I'm your guy :) Thanks again Magiic!
hey magiic, any idea how much bulk that otter box adds tothe iPhone? It appears rather cumbersome from the picture
I imagine it adds a good deal of bulk. The one for the blackberry my dad has adds quite a bit. It does however provide perfect protection for the device. His blackberry still looks brand new when you take it out of the case. He is a contractor and as such his phones tend to take a lot of abuse.

ahh alrighty, I've been looking for something similar for my iPod Touch, but it seems the best alternatives are the Zagg and BestSkinEver things, but I was hoping for something actually plastic and hard-shelled...the hunt continues! Thanks!

These shells are a combo of plastic and rubber

Edit:

BTW Goomba I will take it. Send me an invoice!

Just a quick thanks Goomba. Another perfect parcel arrived today! Thanks for marking it fragile, much appreciated. Have a good time in Canada. Maybe one day we'll see ya out west! :)

PS Wow. 3,000 replies and over 104,000 views. Very cool!

I'll take the credit off of your hands next month if you want Goomba.

Regarding the address, if you need one, feel free to use mine.

CrushEm, you will definitely see me out west. You guys think I'm crazy, but I'm really going to keep growing GFC :) We have 500 orders so far and nearly 300 customers total. My goal is to reach 1000 customers and I'll be doing pretty good. With the way the economy is here in the States (and worldwide) I need to do something to stay ahead and if it means ramping up my services I'll do whatever it takes. Glad the package got their safely!

I will go ahead and look through my PMs Jbently. I don't recall seeing that one. Pat_McCrotch, excellent! I do my best ^_^ I strive for one-day-turnarounds but with some orders it's just not possible (especially if there are multiple items) but sometimes I luck out. Once I get rid of all my past stock, I plan to focus 75%-90% of my time with just GFC related orders and that'll mean a lot of great things for you guys :)

For all of you in Quebec, tell me: is Poutine really good? It sounds weird from the description but anything that involves French Fries can't be too bad ;) I gotta try it and find out for myself. I have a feeling I'll like it lol.

In Toronto on Queen street in front of city hall there is a bunch of chip trucks and they have some of the best Poutine I have ever had

Thanks for all the Poutine tips guys! I will definitely look for that place kgroat lol. Now I'm getting excited :) I can actually get exercise walking around all these cities and then negate all that said exercise by eating Poutine. Perfect balance!

Hey goomba478,
I've sent you an email and got no response. Haven't you received it or are you just busy right now preparing to the trip?
goomba, what's the current going price on XBL cards? need one soon
The user SmurfAlmighty is selling the 12+1 codes for $25 it looks like (was $30 before) and it seems like it is legit. Although he doesn't accept Paypal for them. Maybe if we can get a few interested people who need the live cards we can have Goomba do a group buy on our behalf? Even after Goomba's service fee, it will still be under $30 US for a sub.
Hey goomba478,
I've sent you an email and got no response. Haven't you received it or are you just busy right now preparing to the trip?
Goomba said he has lots of emails going to spam for some reason, so that may be the case. I'd say PM is probably better, as he'll always get those =)

Also, Goomba, any update on being able to get my stuff out this week? =D

Gsrce, yeah PM is always safest but Emails are better for archival. Either way works though. Your Blu-Rays are still not in yet, though Warner Bros. just sent confirmation that the Harry Potter ones are going out soon. Looks like I'll have to wait until I get back if we're going to mail those out. Hopefully they will get here soon.

Setite, I did get your Email, I just haven't been home much the last two days with enough time to send and invoice. I will try to do so very shortly (hopefully by tonight). Very sorry. I'm having some money troubles in regards to having all my bills come in on the same week as my trip, so I've been working extra hours and essentially just paying bills all week (or trying to figure out how to). I will get back to you soon!

** Updated**

Jbently, it looks like SmurfAlmighty is willing to send me the codes. I'm going to go ahead and try to put in an order for 10. Since I'm strapped for cash right now, and since he wants to be paid in concealed cash, I'm going to require you guys to pre-pay for the cards. I will get the codes sometime in the next week hopefully (I believe he is sending the codes through PM/Email so it shouldn't take long). If you want a card, please PM me. Thanks! I'm only ordering 10 for now, so it's first come first served as always. Good luck!

== Xbox 360 12+1 (13 Month Cards) == $30 USD Shipped (via Email).

So if you want one, please contact me ASAP. I will need you to pay immediately to secure your spot. Here is the list so far, I will update it as people sign up:

goomba478, no need to be sorry, I can wait :) You really deserve a nice trip, I don't want to bother you right and waste your time. Let's discuss it again when you return ;)

Answers For the Xbox Live Cards:

1) Do they work in Canada? Yes, obviously :) I wouldn't sell them to you guys if they didn't. This is not to be confused with Xbox Points that DO NOT work in Canada (as far as I know). Xbox Live cards DO work though.

2) Do they stack with your existing subscription? Yes! If you have an Xbox Live account, and buy a card, then it will just extend your expiration date by 13 months. Pretty cool!

3) Can I order more than one? Yes, as long as you pre-pay then that's fine. Don't hog them all though ^_^ I want to make sure everyone can get one, as these deals are very far and few between.

4) Can you get the card and have me pay afterward? I'm sorry to say but I need you to pre-pay before I can get them. I'm buying them from a fellow CAG and he's being very generous to offer it at such a great price. For this reason I need you to pre-pay so I can send him the money. I should have the code to you very quickly.

5) Where do I send the $30 USD? - Glad you asked. If you are paying with direct funds, please send your money to: [email protected]. This account is a personal account that CANNOT accept US Dollars. So if you are paying with a credit card please send to: [email protected]. Be sure to mention who you are in your payment info (say "Hey this is XX_Man_XX from CAG paying for the Xbox Live 13 Month Card"). After I receive the cards I will send them to all the people who pre-paid. If for some reason it doesn't work out and I don't get the cards or I run out early, I will send them out to the people in the order I received the payments and if I don't have a card for you, I will of course refund you 100%. Thanks guys!
