Yeah...still no list, BUT

CAGs have been mentioning lists received by stores and new price markings taking place. Its all a matter of us drilling employees for info or attaining the list.

Just noticed the Game days sale ad in the latest game informer. Last year's sale was pretty decent so its worth a thread. I'll try to post the ad and coupon later. Best part is the coupon doesn't say anything about being void if copied. No specifics yet on the sale.

Things to note:

why are the prices for timeshift different for ps3 and 360? that doesn't make any sense. was actually going to consider getting it for ps3, but oh well.
 
Thanks for the list. I can actually forget this sale as I have the games I want already and the others dont interest me. I actually saved money this time. Good enough for me.
 
Yeah, if you have a PS2 and don't have SEGA Genesis Collection, do yourself a favor and BUY IT. I bought it when it first came out and it was worth the $20. At $10 (and 10% off with coupon), you're getting it for a steal!

Beats the piss out of burning 800 Wii Points on the Virtual Console for each game that's already available on SGC.
 
I've been looking for timeshift for a while, so i think i'll bite on that. Otherwise, with the possible exception of Sonic Rush and HOTD, that list's pretty bland. Oh well.

judging from all the posts I think there will be a large gap between supply and demand for House of the Dead and Odin Sphere as well as a couple other titles. I think if CAGs want certain titles they better show up on hour #1 of the sale.
 
I'll be at work when they open, but I'm hoping that I can make an excuse that a work vehicle needs gas or something to get over there. I've wanted House of the Dead since it came out.

I will be hitting both GS's in town, if necessary, stating at 11:30. Gotta work from 10-11:15.

Although, in retrospect, I'm limiting myself to one game. Been spending too much lately. Probably the PSP Genesis collection or Odin Sphere.
 
What's the deal with Game Days anyway? It's just a certain number of games are discounted and everything used is 50% off?

I wish gamestop would discount the used games to be proportionate to the new games they discount, it really makes no sense why they don't. I mean, I know gamestop makes most of their money on used stuff, but honestly, if you could get Sonic Mega Collection for $10 new, would you even bother doing it for $13 used? This annoyed the hell out of me last year. But alas, Katamary Damacy (this one was highly unexpected), Odin Sphere, and Sega Genesis Collection will be mine :)
 
I'm watching the in store availability for new copies of Odin Sphere in my area and will be outside the door of the closest one with a copy in stock before they open on the 2nd

I'm still wondering what the accessories will be and what prices... probably all GS branded stuff.

Well if that does happen and for some reason shipping is more expensive than 16 percent off, CAG16 for 16 percent off.

The guy a bit before me said that he saw B2G1 signs in the stock room so there might be a chance and also Gamestop usually does that during it's other sales. We are probably just going to have to wait until someone confirms it
 
I remember them having FF 12 CE edition last yr for 29.99. Among of other games nothing too special. But Virtua Fighter 5 for 19.99 new? cmon this is the universal price already it is this price at best buy and walmart new.

From what I remembered last year, the stores actually changed the prices even lower as the sale went on. So I guess don't rush out and buy the games on the first day of the sale.

You know, one second thought, I might just go with Brave Story and Monster Hunter 2.

I think I'll take my chances and wait on Condemned 2. I feel like if I wait I can get it for cheaper. And maybe by some crazed miracle they'll reduce it even more to $20?? I can dream.

I don't have to have it now.

So that takes me to a little over $40 for two PSP games, up my PSP arsenal. Maybe I can find a used copy of Lemmings... >.>
