GBA / DS Cart Cases

I have over 100 GBA games loose in a plastic drawer system and I'd like to get cases for them. If the GBA games had come in cases like the DS games, I'd be ok but I can't stand the space taken up by 100 GBA boxes. As it stands, I have 60+ DS games too and it's gettin' tough to store them all.

My question is:

Does anyone have recommendations on cases/album/etc. for GBA or DS games? I know there are random multi-color GBA cart cases, but honestly I'd prefer clear and need 100+ of them so buying four at a time on eBay isn't an option.

Any help is appreciated. You guys are great!

I have the same problem although not on as large a scale. ive started taking gba games and stuffing them inside ds cases with those games. I try to match em up, like a gba castlevania in with a ds castlevania game. The rest of the games just sit in drawer tho.

I bought a tiny rubbermaid box with 3 drawers and it holds my GBA +GB games in it. I just got it, before they were in plastic bags. My son and I are getting more use out of the games now because they are easier to get out and play. I am open to a cooler idea though. Mickey

That's what I'm using, only one drawer is three layers high on NGPC games, one is three layers high on GB/GBC games, and the third is four to five layers high on GBA games. I'd lay them all out but it'd take way too much space.

The more I think about this, the more an album (like a CD wallet) style holder would be great for all cart games because you could add more sheets as needed and maybe put instruction booklets on the back of the sheets.

If you've got some shelf space for them, I highly recommend getting DS cases to put your GBA games in. They look fantastic on the shelf, are easily accessible, and make sure you won't lose one.

There'd be some expense in getting the cases, and more-so in printing out the inserts if you don't have access to a decent color printer, but it's well worth it, and easier to swallow if you do it in small doses.

Daroga -
I may regret this for the loss of sanity and money, but I like that idea. I googled around but didn't see any place to buy cases of those cases (as in a bunch at once.) Seen them anywhere? Also, thoughts on where I could get decent art for all the games out there?

I saw those in my searching. I'd consider it if I could find a place to buy a huge lot of those, but it's tough to see which games are which when you consider there'd be 40 of those or so.

I THINK I saw something like that at Target. If Target does special orders, you could have them order in a bunch for you.

You can get the cases direct from Nintendo. Let me dig up the link...

http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wc...209&lastAction=ProductDisplay&orderTotal=null

They sell them in packs of 10, not exactly ideal, but you may call them up and see if they would cut you a deal for higher quantites.

There's a big thread here on the project ( http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29544 ), and The Cover Project via Snackbar-Games' site is the collection for these things ( http://www.thecoverproject.net/ ).

If you need further incentive, here's a looksee into what these look like on the shelf (from my collection, though semi-outdated pictures).

I like the Gameboy cases set into DS cases!! Looks very neat and organized.[/quote]It really does look nice, I dig it. :) Though, I don't have nearly that many games anymore.

Wow. Okay I'm pretty much sold. I'm hoping the big N might give me a discount for the 120 or so that I need. Luckily I have exclusive access to a high speed color laser printer at work.

My question is.. what did you do with Twisted, Boktai(s), and Topsy Turvy? They don't fit, do they? Also, daroga, why do you have two cases for Twisted in that picture?

You'll need to do some lighter modifying to get GB, GBC, and certain bigger GBA carts to fit in the case. Here's an example:

I use this for my gba storage needs.

It's kinda like a photo album for your gba games. I also have an extra one for sale if you wanna go with one of these for storage.

Also there are some pretty extensive instructions for some of the "odd" shaped gba games in the GBA Cover Project thread (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29544).

 You used bolts. Finished product is quite amazing actually.

Someday, someone out there will make a DS game with some add-on that requires a OEM double case. Then we'll be in business!

I'll need to whip together 4-5 (or 6-7 by the time I'm done collecting haha!) but those are pretty sweet too! Have any pics of what it looks like inside?

Edit: Nevermind, I found pics on another auction. Hmm...

Luckily my wife (then fiancee) and my Dad were patient and helpful over the three or four days that we trouble-shot it ;)

I couldn't find anything definitive on the site, but do the universal N64 cases come with alternate sizes for different systems or what? They say they fit all old cart based games.

They have a slot for a CD too, I think, but it looked to be able to destroy a CD easily. ;)
