Mine was supposed to come in today, but the delivery guy is nowhere to be seen...
A free theme is available when you pop the disc into your PS3.
How do you get the theme? I put the disc into my ps3 and I can't find anything?

I was confused at first as well. Go to the Game Selection on the XMB and it will be listed there, as if you had a PS3 Game in.

^can you get anything from DVD trade-in's these days?... I have about 30 now that I have in a box because I either got them on Blu now, or my woman had the same DVD when she moved in...

Is the Blu Ray suspose to be this grainy? It looks like shit on HD! I wonder if this is a mess up or if this is as good as they could make this? Does anyone know?

I was quite impressed with it myself and thought it looked great!

There were a couple brief nighttime scenes that were excessively grainy, and matte lines on the scenes with the running dogs were extremely visible. But that's to be expected with a 25yr old movie.

i think they could have done a much better job with the transfer. a lot scenes look pretty sharp, but for the most part it is way too noisy. the age of the film is kind of a cop out, because other blu-ray releases for films much older look 1000x better. it's pretty clear that this is a very quick and dirty release

Thought this should be pointed out more, its in another thread but I had to dig... use coupon: SonyPic5 at checkout to save $5 instantly.

This brings the price from 18 down to 13 which is a deal compare to the 24.99 at BB, also no tax and shipping for me, so i hope this helps someone else out being that Ghostbuster's is one of my favs and 25+tax is a little steep for the movie.

Sweet, yeah, $16.50 w/ standard shipping. I'm getting this more to pay respect and "fuel the beast" as they say. Being knee deep in the game, which is also great, these guys deserve every penny they can get from the franchise, even at 25 years later.

I just got done watching both of these with my 3 year old (which scared the hell out of him!) so I already have these on regular DVDs. But this is a good price for the film, and probably won't ever get lower than $14.99 at most places (unless it gets clearenced).

Amazon dropped it down to $17.49 so I picked up Ghostbusters for $12.49 after the coupon. :) Had free shipping with other items in my cart.

How LOW will it GO?

I think I can hold out for $16.99 or even $16.49 LOL!

Then again, the coupon expires on July 7th, so I may just have to bite on this price before it's too late.

It finally was in my personal offers:
Item Subtotal: $17.49
Shipping and handling: $0.00

Gold Box Discount: $-0.87

Promotion Applied: $-5.00

Total: $11.62

Paid by Amex: $11.62

I wonder if movies like this will eventually be in the 2 for $20 packages at walmart. Like Ghostbusters and the Mask.
It seems like the old movies drop in price fairly quickly after release.
Never saw Ghostbusters... but for 14$ I'll have to pick it up.
wow i didn't know there anyone left that has yet to see it?

Well for this price, im gonna have to pick it up.
Thanks for the heads up

This is a steal for anybody waiting to pick it up. I picked this up with Batman Begins BD gift set and after coupons and gc got both for $17 so I'm not regretting that at all. Now I just need them ship it...
Damn; hopefully Amazon will receive my trade-in's before that coupon expires...
You can trade-in DVDs to Amazon to get store credit?!

Yeah, but most of the time, the prices are shit. I happen to have a lot of unopened T.V. series I got for cheap, so the $8 or $9 I get for them isn't bad, but normal movies usually trade in for ~$1.50

True. I did get in on this deal though. Thanks for posting the new code and keeping the thread updated Prime; now I can watch this movie with my lady (she's never seen it #-o)

Well, I was GOING to just get Ghostbusters, and another flick to get FS... but then I went nuts! ;)

Have been wanting True Blood on Blu, but had been waiting for a deal. Thought maybe $44.99 at 25% off through DeepDiscount would be my reason to buy, but they raised the price and even WITH 25% off it's more expensive. So when I saw it for $44.99 at Amazon, I bit.

I also went for Band of Brothers Blu. Hadn't seen it until recently on the History Channel, and it really grabbed me. So that got added to the order.

And finally, I got T2 Skynet Edition and enjoyed rewatching the movie with the extra footage way more than I'd realized I would. Then saw Salvation recently and can't wait for that to come out on Blu. So I bought T3 for $15, probably the best price I've seen since the Best Buy and Fry's deals with the T2 release.

Ended up spending $130 with tax, but I've got some classics, some fun, and didn't feel like I paid way more than I should have. Thanks OP, fellow posters, and Amazon!!!

DUDE!!!
I feel your pain. I used to do that A LOT back near the end of HD-DVD when there would be sales galore with the two formats competing against each other.
As it is, I bit on this, and added the SE of Casino Royale for 12.99. Now I have the sell the first version on ebay.
Now to go grab coraline and Wathmen for 19.47 each (quick picks of the day for me today).

Fry's makes it really tough. When they have blu for $10-$15, I usually end up buying at least 1 of the discs on sale. But I gotta calm down and save some money with the complete Battlestar Galactica set coming out on Blu in about a month!!! :D

Those prices are pitiful.

I was going to use their trade-in thing to sell off some DVD's I'm upgrading to Blu-Ray, but considering they'll only take three as trade-in's (The Dark Knight, Casino Royale, Rush: Snakes and Arrows Live) and will only give me $10 for them I'll just give them away to friends and family.
