That shows how observant I am. Until you posted that Zuba, I didn't even realize that they were doing a game per year and they were moving forward with each deal. lol

I'm looking for the old Rayman games. It looks like the first one came out in 1995 (although GOG has the wrong date), the second in 1999 and the third one in 2003. We're obviously past the first game's year, but there is still hope for the second & third game.

Well, Freespace 2 is a 1999 candidate too. For whatever that is worth....

There you go. Rayman Forever is 1998 for $1.49. Which means no Baldur's Gate for me. :(

Ah nice. Just bought it.

I'm sorry my good fortune came at the expense of the game you were hoping for. If it's any consolation though, Baldur's Gate does go on sale every few months. A lot more frequently than the old Rayman games do anyway. Besides, I have a feeling that you may get another shot the next time they get to 1998. I just get the feeling that they wont be recycling the deals this time around.

This is the first time Rayman Forever has been 75% off on GOG. I think the last time it was on sale, it was 60% off, and even that discount was pretty rare (like once per year).

Just to prove I'm not crazy this is how gog shows up on my screen. But some reason the timer works fine on my nexus

I'd hate to work at the GOG offices:

Developer: Man, I can't wait to go home....so tired of trying to get "The You Testament" working for release.  Only one minute to go!

Developer: Dammit!  Who the F is "+1"'ing my work hours today?!?!?!

Do I want Gothic...? I kind of do, but I have sooooooo many RPG's.
It has not aged well AT ALL.

It's also, hmm, well let's just say it won't win any awards for feminism and progressiveness.

The second game is generally regarded as the best of them and I agree with that.

I disagree w/ this.

I still think Gothic 1 is the best game of the Gothic club. When it came out, there didn't feel like there was an action-style RPG like this around - from the way NPC's interacted on their own w/ schedules in a 3D world to the way decision on who you aligned w/ really mattered (and also did help what class and skills you leaned towards); it was amazing. The story and gameplay was great and set the tone for all PB games to follow.

Gothic 2 (base-game) took all of my complaints from Gothic 1 - and didn't fix them. It amplified them and multiplied them times a few times more. Unchanged control schemes are still a bit awkward (mouselook - hello, where are you?); too many obviously re-used voice-actors (especially for important main characters); game in the last 1/3rd gets bit more typical and traditional for RPG; and a horrible cliff-hanger ending.

I can't speak on G2: NOTR expansion - by the time that came out to the PC on USA, it was kinda late for me. If it gets REAL cheap - sure, I'll buy it + check it out.

Gothic 3 (original) - ugh, that game just STILL needs more fixing + modding, even after all of the Community Patches. Maybe by 2020, it'll be fixed. Maybe not.

If it turns out that the next game is Arx Fatalis, we might see another Keaning. Possibly overnight. The game only went on sale once, I think.
