The good-old games of GOG are often hard to find and/or difficult to get working on modern machines. Many of them would warrant news of their release included in the 'Deals' forum; some would not. Therefore this thread proposes to be the compact depository of information regarding of classic games from GOG.com, as well as discussion concerning their deal-worthiness.

Special sales and promotions will continue to have their own threads.

Thanks for the link. After reading up some more and watching the trailer I'm not as excited for it. Looks like the translation is going to leave something to be desired, which will be a total bust for a game as heavy on text as this.

This fully-voiced effort from designer Al Lowe (Leisure Suit Larry, Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist) combines classic Sierra adventuring with decidedly more family-friendly humor, so even the kids can play along (a hint system is also included). Though the player shouldn't be afraid to get a bit..."creative". Quest for Glory I-V $9.99

From Spielburg to Shapier; Mordavia to Silmaria; royal palaces to witch's huts; the world of Gloriana is before you, ready to explore. Join our intrepid adventurer's journey from nobody special to noble hero across five chapters, each influenced by a particular fantasy tradition (Eastern European, Middle Eastern, etc.). This classic Sierra adventure series was a pioneer, offering point-and-click fans RPG elements, multi-linear storylines/puzzles, use-based skill stats, and the ability to import/export your character through the entire series. All this in worlds and stories which were often humorous, often grave, but always immersive.

This is, in my entirely subjective yet absolutely correct opinion, the best bundle offered on GOG in the past, present, and future.

* Both the original and VGA remake of So You Want to Be a Hero? are included.
* Shadows of Darkness is the "talkie" version, with narration from John Rhys-Davies and some great voicework (including Jennifer Hale's first role).
* The fan remake of Trial by Fire is definitely worth checking out for those who've completed the original (or who can't bear EGA graphics)
* Quest Studios is, as always, the place to hear your favorite Sierra themes.
