goHastings.com 30% off used w/code 1/30-2/4
My backlog is getting out of fucking control, yet I still might end up buying some stuff from this sale.. the prices are just too good to pass up
I find that if you're not ready to play the game right now, its better to hold off on picking up games from them. They have these 30% off sales all the time and the prices on the older games tend to dip a few bucks over a few weeks/months. I've bought games from sales like this before, not gotten around to playing them, then the next sale rolls around and I realize I could have saved a few bucks by not buying games to shelf. But lets be honest here...What CAG doesn't have an overgrowing backlog that has amassed from "a deal too good to pass up"?
Games only? Or does it work on books, too?
Good question, I am also curious the breadth of the coupon (although I guess I could just add to cart and see).

I haven't really kept track of PS3 games prices, how are these for prices (all after shipping)
Heavy Rain for ~$15
Infamous for ~$15
Resistance 1 and 2 dual pack ~$18 (I saw amazon has these both for $10 a piece so meh)

works on used cds, dvds, blu rays, games and books i believe. picked up a mixture of games and blu rays myself.

Black ops 360
Uncharted 1: PS3
Moon: Blu Ray
Waltz with Bashir: Blu Ray

decided to stop after that and respect my pocket book
I mean do they at least come with original case. I don't want to order and get a white case plain case or something.
Yeah, I've purchased at least 20 games from GH last year and they've all arrived with original packaging (including the slipcover on three special editions). Only one of them didn't have the manual.

All games I've bought from gohastings have come with the original case. One game (ninja gaiden sigma which is old) came in a case with sticker crud and marker writing on it though.

I've always had original cases. The problem is they don't only come from hastings, some times they come from stores that participate in GoHastings. So my copy of Darksiders is superwashed out and had pieces of the case broken from it. The other 6-10 games I've bought from them have been perfect.

My wallet thanks you for this post :)

I believe their prices are in part based on their stock. What you have said holds true for the most part, until they run out or have very limited stock left. If you add older used games to your wish list and follow the prices they usually move +/- $2 in a month or 2 of time.

Most of the older stuff on my wish list is currently either OOS or has gone up a few bucks since the last time I checked (and none of it is super rare either).

on GH the order page is saying that my CCV and my address are not matching in neither of my credit cards! Is anybody having the same issue? I'm using the same card and the same shipping address I always use with them.

Same situation, same message here.

I had about a dozen PS2 games (I've been on a PS2 kick lately) in my cart that were priced around $3.50 each after the code, it wasn't until I was starting to check out that I realized the shipping price is $2.22 per item which totally put a dampener on my smorgasbord.
If I order crisis 2, does the game use an online pass? I don't want it used to. Or be able to play online.
No online pass to play. It had a LE pass that gave you some goodies but there is not restriction on the online. EA wanted to but Crytex somehow had the juice to turn it down.

Shipping kills the deal for me when I want to buy a large amount of games : /

It would be nice if there were gohastings threads without the whining about shipping.

It's still valid discussion about the deal so I don't see the issue other than it simply annoying some people.

Not really a discussion if we are starting at ALWAYS...seems to me your mind is made up. Personally getting Dark Souls for $16 shipped is a good deal.

OK, but it doesn't "kill" the deal. Like most sales there are things here that are good deals and some that are bad. Just look at the prices and add $2 and change. There are lots of games, movies and books (which don't have a shipping charge) that are great deals with this sale. You just need to decide what is worth it to As I said, this is how all sales are, and not an indication that the sale is worthless when shipping is considered.

Well, whenever deals like this occur I like to snag up as many games as I possibly can on the cheap, so when they charge separate shipping for each it will always ruin it for me.

I do understand what you are saying though and next time I will specify what I meant. There are great deals I still might bite on of course though. I'm looking at Madden 12 for $16.66 shipped, even paying the $10 online pass its still $14 cheaper than what it usually is on sale for.

Yeah pretty much Gohasting deals for video games fall into two categories. Free shipping is great for games under about $7 and 30-40% off for games above $7 (although not much until you get into the $10 and above games). The deals are there but you do have to put a little more leg work in to get it to work out best. Even when the % off only covers the shipping I think their prices on many things are very competitive to AWD and GS.

Edit: I also do not pay taxes so it is a plus for me (and certain other I am sure).

Not a game but scored this:

True Blood: The Complete First Season
Used - Blu-ray
Discount: One for $16.76

Thanks for the Code.

Now I just have to figure out why I ordered a show about Vampires. Don't think I've ever seen a vampire show / movie. It's HBO though and I usually like HBO shows. (Rome, Deadwood, Band of Brothers, etc)

Well if you find Anna Paquin hot then this show will only reinforce that and if you do not then it might change your mind. The first season is by far the best IMO and is a nice guilty pleasure.

grabbed rage, fear 3, and dragon age 2 for $27.50 seems like an ok deal, and ive been wanting to play rage and fear, dragon age was more of a "meh its $8 and im playing the first one soon" lol

Grabbed Kingdom Hearts and way too many cheap graphic novels/manga. For how great of condition the Death Note volumes I picked up (all but the first) came in, I can tell you, GoHastings' used books are as close to new as possible (except for my copy of Stephen King's Dreamcatcher, which I think multiple members of a family pissed on.)

Awesome thanks, looking forward it now. Never heard of Anna Paquin before but I googles here and she wasn't too bad on the eyes. ;)

1st season is sorta good. 2cd season is OK .... then it just goes to hell. Do yourself a favor and never bother with it. Go watch Dexter or Firefly.
Is the 30% stacking with the 20% off Xbox games? I'm only seeing 30%.
the 20% is already taken off in the item price. doesn't show as an additional discount

Via Facebook "this is a limited time offer so shop NOW for the best offer!"

Sorry but that's all the info given.

Hastings usually ships them individually from whatever store has the item so they incur shipping costs per item. So it's a very reasonable policy.

Picked up a few cheaper titles, like N2N, IL-2 Birds of Prey, Lego Pirates, Dungeon Siege III, Armored Core 4 and Front Mission Evolved for $39+ $13 shipping...I'm justifying the shipping to myself with the 30% off code.

Thanks, OP.
