I got hooked after getting GH III on clearance. I liked World Tour...Kicking myself for getting Aerosmith. Kicking myself harder for blindly getting GH V just so I could get GH VH.....

If that list is what will officially be on there...which Im sure there will be some additions, I can see myself letting that hit clearance before touching it.

I always let the music games hit clearance before buying. They were a hot property when GHIII and RB1 came out, but they've flooded the market with too many games since then. Prices for most music games plummet only six months after release. I spent a total of $30 on GHWT, GH:Metallica, and GH5. It's just not worth it to spend a lot on these games.

I fully expect GH6 and RB3 to follow suit.

Why must they continue with the live Def Lep shit? One of these games really needs to release Hysteria as a full download.

Notables for me:

38 Special - Hold On Loosely
3 Inches Of Blood - Deadly Sinners
Aerosmith - Get A Grip
Alice Cooper - Feed My Frankenstein
Black Sabbath - Children Of The Grave
Children Of Bodom - If You Want Peace, Prepare For War
Dethklok - Bloodlines
Dragonforce - Fury Of The Storm
Dream Theater - Under A Glass Moon
Drowning Pool - Bodies
Hammerfall - Hearts On Fire
Iron Maiden - Back In The Village (MAIDEN fuck YES)
Lamb Of God - Grace
Metallica & Ozzy Osbourne - Paranoid (Live)
Megadeth - Sudden Death
Motley Crue - Livewire
Night Ranger - Don't Tell Me You Love Me
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Queensryche - Queen Of The Reich
Racer X - Superheroes
Slayer - Chemical Warfare

For white snake, I'd have personally gone with Children of the Night. Always liked that one, but not bad overall I guess. Nice to see some bands not in the games yet (as far as I'm aware). Sucks though with Queensryche. I'd have KILLED to get Queen of the Reich in RB. Easily my favorite from them and would be a blast to play.

if that is the set list looks like I will wait to pick that thing up on the clearance rack. no way I am wasting 60 bucks on that garbage. maybe 3 or 4 songs at most I would even care to play. God I hope that is so wrong.

They even said they learned their lesson and were going to go for a broader audience for GH6 and there it is a ton more Metal songs, which if you like that I guess this is the game for you. This to me is worse than GH5 was.

I'd probably have to listen through these tracks to see if it's worth trying to play this although I'd be in for M.I.A. and Jimi Hendrix.

Garbage. Clearance, indeed.

Or Adrenalize or Pyromania. Just do either a Def Leppard Guitar Hero or Rock Band game then I would be forever happy. :)

The rumored list looks pretty good, but so far, the confirmed tracks look terrible. I skipped GH5 and I may be skipping GH6.

Only about 3-4 songs that interest me.

Silversun Pickups
Shiny Toy Guns
Rammstein

Lots of people are gonna be happy to see the Mars Volta and Muse on the list.

Remember GH:WT and Rock Band 2 had many of the same songs? here's hoping that will be the case with GH6 and RB3.

May as well change the 6 to Warriors of Rock. Or at least put it as the subtitle. If you don't believe me just google it. I saw it available for preorder at Gamestop already.

Decent list, but I still won't be buying for more than $15.

Nice to see Necrophagist in there, can't believe no one else mentioned that.
Ok 19 posts, and no one talks about The Dillinger Escape Plan

For shame CAG
I thought it was cool that they included them, but I never really liked them (I tried), and the song in GH6 is nothing like what they used to play

Maybe but any DEP is better then any other band, plus 43% Burnt might not fly, with the average Joe. Personally I love Blackbubble Gum. I seen them 5 times, its a great song.

I stopped caring for GH a while back, but hot damn. That list looks pretty awesome. No Iron Maiden, but still pretty awesome.

The Ramones cover of the spider-man theme? Never thought that would be on one of these games.

That list is kinda meh to me. I didn't buy the last guitar hero and it looks like I won't buy this one either. Rock Band has me for life.

I'll Goozex it after it comes out. Love Gun is a must have and it annoys the hell out of me it hasn't been in Rock Band.

Coolest randomness in there is the Ramones' Spider-Man theme. Neat.

demo out now.. i hated it.. quest mode seems lame and i think i'm over guitar hero.. it might've been the song selection, though. i'll reserve judgment til the full game is out

Didn't really hate it, but Jesus Christ it felt like a big dumb coat of paint over last year's character models. Plus stars have lost ALL meaning in this game. As in there was no excitement or care in getting 3-7 stars on a song. I'll be getting it for $10 or so.

Children of the Grave was the only song of the four in the demo I liked. I have the game on preorder, but that demo made me want to cancel it. I don't feel like playing 90 songs if 80 of them are lame.

I should probably just rent the game.

yeah the demo sucked for me. I will no doubt wait for the clearance bin. This coming from a guy who got 1000 cheevos on guitar hero 5.

I have decided to keep my preorder. In fact, I bumped my preorder up to the guitar controller bundle.

I stopped by Gamestop the other day to pick up an MS point card. I saw they had the WoR guitar there hooked up to the 360 to play the WoR demo. I picked up that guitar controller and I've got to say, that thing is a solid piece of plastic. My GH3 controllers have served me well for the last couple years, but I loved that WoR controller. The GH3 controller feels almost flimsy in comparison.

FYI... The Gamestop WoR demo had different songs on it than the downloadable demo. I don't remember what they were, but I do remember liking them less than the downloadable demo songs. :(

bah... was going to let this one slide till it hit sub 20 bucks.....

but 2112!!! that's like one of the only things that will tempt me to preorder... sigh
Activision announced that 39 GH Metallica songs can be exported to GH WoR with the code from the back of the manual:

http://www.trueachievements.com/n1879/activision-announce-guitar-hero-metallica-export.htm

The cost is 480 msp but if you export prior to Oct 5th it is FREE.
That's weird. Wonder what's so special about Oct. 5? I'd rather just play GH: Metallica and use the 480 points towards other dlc (I'll be getting the game from Goozex, so the code will have been used already, anyway).

The free GH:M export is just an incentive to purchase WoR at release.

I'm really on the fence on this one, but I'd really like to play a new music game prior to RB3. I was really hoping that TraInn would offer the guitar bundle, but it looks like those days are over so I'll probably wait to see if there are any good deals at release. If not I'll just throw it on my GameFly and Goozex queue and hope for the best. Figure I can get it release week from GF and export the songs at least.

EDIT: Link to the Metallica Import site:

http://hub.guitarhero.com/metallicaimport/

might be good to throw that into the OP.

so I just went to that website and scrolled down, it allows you to choose what title you're importing from so I choose gh metallica and for the what would you like to import to I put gh 5 and it goes through so does that mean that you can import gh metallica into gh5 as well or just into this new warriors of rock gh game? or vice versa

I'm pretty sure I read that all DLC and exported tracks will be available in GH5, Band Hero and GH WoR. From what I can tell they are 'trying' to get to a consolidated library similar to Rock Band instead of having outdated DLC that doesn't work on newer games.

For some reason TrueAchievements.com is down so here is another link to the article:

Correct, there's no reason that the Metallica content will be GH6-specific, and it should work fine for GH5, and maybe GHWT(4) as well, since the Death Magnetic DLC was good for both of those. The most important thing, however is to get your copy of GH:Metallica now, since you'll need your code before they can give you a Marketplace code for the export key.

If you don't have the game yet, Best Buy has a great deal on it @ $14.99 + $2.49 s/h + tax. Most sellers on eBay are up in the 20's, so I'd definitely grab a new/sealed copy from retail over taking a chance with something used, possible rewrapped, or not Region 1 from the 2nd-hand market.

I'm showing it's 39.99 on the Best Buy site, is there a Reward Gamer Zone or @Gamer coupon you have to use to get it for 14.99?

I got the game today. I get disc unreadable errors with it in both of my Xbox 360s. So, I've got a replacement copy on the way from Amazon.

I also got the new guitar. I played some Rock Band 2 with it. I really like the new guitar. Even though it took me a couple minutes to figure out where the batteries went.

If I buy/rent a used copy of GH:M to go with a new copy of GHWOR would it matter? ie the manual code was never used to import into GHWOR (But maybe into GH 5)
