You're supposed to start off as Vader's Apprentice right?

Why would Vader have some schlub with weak-ass force powers as his apprentice?
 
Because he's only beginning to realize his powers...when he does, I'm sure he'll turn on Vader and get his behind kicked...Thats why we don't see him in Episode 4.

I thought this was common knowledge... it's the entire plot of the game.
