Also I have seen no mension anywhere about the Xbox Live Rewards (US Only) program.
With Xbox Live Rewards, that is a legitimate site from Microsoft themselves, you can earn Microsoft Points using your Xbox Live account. these will be deposited in your account monthly around the 15th, if or when you reach 100 or more points.
It is not that much, but it is free and you can spend it on an avatar item or something that you rather not pay for.

I live in Australia and I have been a member since last year. Though it is a very slow service if you don't buy things on the marketplace often.

Are you sure that you have an US account?

Because I live in Europe and for me it did work on my US account but not on my European account.

On your Xbox 360 in the Billing Account Information section it should say under Country/Region: United States.

I have made an edit: Known Regions to work are US, UK, Australia.

If there are more regions that someone has confirmed it working, please post and I will make another edit. ;)

I think that EU an UK are two different regions, and that is the reason it will not work for my EU account.

I am a 100% US account made off the console back in '05 so the Uno did work, was not prompted me with "not available for your region" status. Thanks for the find Discus

Downloaded "I am super!" today, but it seems to be glitched. Achievements can be earned, but don't show up in history, and it can't upload to kinect share. It's probably supposed to launch tomorrow, so you may want to download it today, just in case it won't be free for long.
 
Thanks, its good to get all this kinect stuff on your accounts even if you don't have a kinect in case some day you get one, it will be there to download for free. Especially since they seem to like to charge points later for these items as others have mentioned.
 
Not sure if this has been posted or not but if your in the us, there is a free app called "voice studio" and its a kinect app where you read off sentences from the tv, the kool thing is you get avatar awards for doing it and also acheviments

Voice Studio is under Social in the Apps Marketplace.
