The game has plenty of cars, but more tracks is always nice. But this is only 1 of the 3 track packs, might as well wait for Goty version.

The other 2 track packs were included if you bought a new copy of the game (redeemable token card in new non-ODST bundle copies.) That code also got you the Motorsport Legends car pack for free.

If you got the CE at Gamestop, you also got the VIP Car Pack for free, otherwise it's $10.

Oh man, I hope the Borderlands expansions are really going to be on sale! Also I really hope the Scott Pilgrim game comes out at the end of August for 360 because I heard it was coming to 360 after the PS3.

Hmm. Is Borderlands only from 7/26 to 8/1? I'm going to be on vacation and may not have access to a computer to purchase. Crap.

Ditto for me.

I've been unemployed this summer, so I have tons of extra free time for games.

glad I saw this thread first, since I was planning on buying the General Knoxx DLC after getting some points from the store. Big thanks to whoever updates the OP (reddjoey?) week in and week out.

I picked up Bonfires this week, and i might have to finally pick up that borderlands dlc that ive been holding off on...

The ACII sale has shown me people often ask "What's in the DLC?" This post will be to explain what is in each piece. These are very broad descriptions (most taken directly from xbox.com), but should be helpful.

FYI there are no achievements in the AC II DLC, hence why I personally am not going to buy it even on sale. Even the crappy Return to Ostagar DLC from Dragon Age had 1 25g achievement and some good armor/weapons for a warrior and a good knife for a Rogue.

Also the 3 extra missions with the more expensive package for the 2nd DLC are the ones originally released in the AC II CE. They're extra platforming/fighting levels (1 Assassin Tomb and 2 Templar Strongholds.)

Yeah. I went back and edited that in.

I don't normally make recommendation, but those curious I'd rank Borderlands DLC
1 Knoxx
2 Zombie Island
3 Moxxi (only buy if you have co-op buddies and want some LONG matches)

i see all the Borderlands DLC as being important and relevant. Especially the Knoxx b/c that raises the level cap (not that I can participate yet w/ my puny LV 27 character..)

Just wanted to say thanks OP for keeping us updated. I'm psyched about General Knoxx going on sale next week (already have the others) and will definitely get back into Borderlands now. Such a great game.

Battle of Forli DLC is a waste. It takes all of 45 min to beat and it's mostly sword fighting. The only other thing is it provides you multiple chances to get the Flyswatter achievement if you missed it your first time. I'm sure you can watch the cutscenes on YouTube to fill in the story.

I haven't played the Bonfire of the Vanities and 3 secret locations. But from what I read, it's much better than Forli. It gives you access to all of Florence and has a longer story.

Bear in mind, you can't play any of the DNA sequences again and the DLC is the same story. So once you beat it, you have to start a new game if you want to play it again.

Hey Look Scott Pilgrim and Shank are going to be 1200 points!!! Great, now Xbox will price all their games at 1200pts....this is getting ridiculous.

damn xbl was on fire for a few weeks straight and now it's just game add-ons dlc. ah well, saves me $ and i'll be good for awhile with all the purchased content I got recently.

I got the Dr. Ned and Underdome DLC retail disc for $10 a few weeks ago and was hoping General Knoxx would be going down soon so I would have the complete DLC. This makes me quite happy.

PvZ will be 1200 too. 1200 points becoming the norm for high profile games.
Of course the Borderlands DLC goes on sale the week after I purchase General Knoxx. Fan-ta-stic waste of points!
Yeah I know exactly how you feel. I was going to get the Mad Moxxi one but I read from various places that it's kinda crappy. Guess 400 points is good enough to get it though.
PvZ will be 1200 too. 1200 points becoming the norm for high profile games.
Thing about PvZ is though, it's already a retail game for PC (I assume for $20 MSRP, but wouldn't know). Although you can effectively buy it for ~7 with that arcade 3 pack that includes Peggle and Zuma iirc whenever that gets released.

As for the upcoming DLC sales, not sure if I'll bite or not. Have both games, but I haven't touched Forza much since I bought it sometime early last year so can't really justify the DLC for that. For Borderlands, haven't touched it much either (haven't gotten into it much, although admittedly I did only play single player so far), although I may grab the DLC for that. Undecided though.

I'm a little miffed that I bought the AC2 DLC like two weeks ago, but oh well. P.S. IMO the Florence DLC was better than the Forli DLC although I felt that the Forli DLC played into the game better than the Florence one did. It's hard to describe without spoiling but the Forli DLC was a lot more like the missions from the game, where there was a pretty good story to tie the sequences together- but the Florence one just seemed like a series of tasks loosely connected. Gameplay wise I felt the Florence one was better though.

I've bought 2 of the Forza car packs in the past and have been tempted to buy more but it's great that they will be on sale! I will for sure pick up at least one of those.

I felt General Knoxx was well worth the 800pts (I paid full price for it soon after it came out), to get it for 400pts is a steal. Zombie Island I would not have paid 800 for but I got it for 400 back a while ago and thought it was okay for that. I heard bad things about Mad Moxxi but I would pay 400 to try it out. I think I enjoyed the rest of Borderlands enough that my friend and I would have a good time playing through Moxxi.

Mad Moxxi is extremely repetitive and boring, even moreso if you play alone. Not worth the 5 bucks even.
Although ive read that General Knoxx is amazing. Dr. Ned's Zombie Island is also pretty good too.

I bought all of the releases when they came out and I must say that Zombie Island and Knoxx are both AWESOME. And yes, Moxxi kind of sucks.

yeah i just finished zombie island today, can't wait for the other 2 next week. i know moxxi is supposed to not be great, but the addition of a weapon stash is something i'd really like.

now to beat the rest of the main game for the rest of this week, since i started zombie island 2/3rd of the way through the main game.

SHANK IS COMING OUT THE SAME DAY AS SCOTT PILGRAM, a $15 game every week for 6 weeks and one week i am getting 2 this is ridiculous because I WANT ALL OF THESE, its a love hate, i hate wasting all this money and wish i could just wait cause you know they are bound to go on sale and save me an extra $5 minimum but they all seem SOOO GOOD I am more excited about these games than just about every other retail release game coming out this year except fable 3, (sorry all you shooter fans, out there i dont feel like supporting any of the big halo, gears, COD(especially), the only one im concidering is medal of honor). but on the bright side i will be paying maybe $80 for like 7 games with that nice 1200 points back

Awesome! General Knoxx is exactly what I've been waiting for! I'm back to finishing Borderlands now that I'm done with Red Dead. I'd probably finish up just in time for the sale if it wasn't for the Gears 20XP Weekend.

Thanks for the info and I've got to give props to Reddjoey for such an informative and well laid out thread. Thanks!
