Why so hostile manthing...did that comment about drugs really hit you that bad? You used to be at least semi-civil now all I get from you is anger
Did you put a "must pay by..." disclaimer on your listing?
I shouldn't have to, but I sent him a message last night reminding him of his debt. Still nothing.

Mojimbo, what are you majoring in?
I'm trying to go for architecture because I like the potential for creativity, but to be honest I am absolutely terrified at the notion of being locked into one thing for the rest of my life.

I always put that they have 3 days or the item gets re-listed.

This new(ish) feedback system stinks though, if they don't pay sometimes by the time you re-list demand for the item goes down and you end up losing money.
I put must pay by 2005 on my listings. That way people always feel guilty and apologize.
Nice.
I don't through my current college so send it my way :)
PDF: http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/vaop/ncurrent/pdf/nature07994.pdf

I didn't have to log in to anything, so maybe it's open? If not, I'll save and upload it for you.
I'll read it and get back to you on it later, since I need to go to a prof's office hours now.
The reason I ask is because I interned at the big alternative weekly newspaper here(that is also free) when I was in high school and a lot of their ads were for things that couldn't get advertised in the real newspaper, like dildo shops and escorts(they put me with their graphic designers.) It was kind of cool though, I got to sit in on a phone interview with the dude from Atmosphere when he was touring to support his one LP that just had a white cover, I forget the name.
I know the Onion has ads like that, and they're also given out for free. Not sure about the Chronicle, but I'll see if I can grab one today.

Pretty cool that you were there for that Atmosphere interview though. :)

I did the whole Coast Guard thing and this past year of IT work since I feel the same way. I was actually convinced I wanted to major in architecture all of high school until partway through my senior year, when I suddenly became disinterested and dropped the related classes. So far all I've accomplished is decided I don't want to be an electrician or an IT. When I go back to school this year, I think I'm leaning towards microbiology.

fucking shit.

I ordered this, Like New:

I got this:
http://product.half.ebay.com/The-Dark-Knight_W0QQprZ70888005QQtgZinfo

However, it's not in good condition -- while the box has never been opened, the dumb shits threw the retail packaging in a large USPS plastic envelope and mailed it off. What I got looks like a kid stomped on it. The actual item inside seems alright... but I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions, peoples?
MP games like L4D, CoD4, RB2, SF4, etc. stay on the drive.

I just installed Oblivion, Shivering Isles, Knights of 9, and Fallout 3 over the past few days and I'm down to ~22GB.

But there's probably some pruning I could do. I know for a fact Wolverine is getting deleted once I beat that game.
Well, shit, you're just captain install.

Focus, man. Focus.
Keep it.
I don't want it. If it were a statue deal with the normal blu ray, that'd be fine -- I could bring it into the office and throw it on my desk. But it's not... and, besides the fact that I just don't like how the case is set up, I don't really have room for it on my DVD shelf. :\
The OTT is no place to joke around.
I guess you're right. Journey has waayyy too much integrity to whore themselves out to video games*, allow their songs to be popularized in film**, or let a shitty mp3 player** besmirch their good name.

I can't.

Between clearance at Sears, Target, TRU, etc; the ocasional GS coupon, jumping on LIVE for some quick shooting; and , I'm playing like a dozen games at a time.

So this was sent instead of the normal TDK :br:?

How much did you pay for this?

95% chance of getting into UF according to some website that takes SAT scores and GPAs and shit and applies them to previous admissions to colleges.

Nifty.

What're you gonna do, Rocko?
(And if you can, I really suggest living on campus for your first year.)

You're not necessarily going to be locked into one thing for life if you major in it. I met a woman who did something (law?) for 10 or so years after college, decided she didn't like it, and went back to graduate school in a consoling psychology program.

You can also major in more than one thing to diversify your options. Between my philosophy/physics, I can do tons of things in science and liberal arts, for example (even though I'm not doubling for that reason--I just

I just got a notice in the mail that I missed jury duty about a month ago.

Now I have 10 days to report to jury duty or get 5 days in jail and/or a $1,500 fine.

...

I'd almost rather go to jail.
fuck the app store

Paid $5 for Car Jack Streets last week and now they drop it to $3. It's only $2 but still. :wall:
Then don't buy apps?

After spending my first three years at community college getting my Associates degree and switching majors, if I wanted to double major in something I would only need an additional 12 or 15 credits.

Same here. I was really surprised that it was so hands on.

Some disciplines really overlap a lot as well. By the time I finish physics, I'll have enough math to declare a math degree and not have to do any more work. Or I could do like 15 hours (minus however many I take just for shits and giggles) of astronomy and add that.

I actually found out at my senior clearance that if I took one additional class I could have declared a dual concentration in my major, but they ended up not offering it my last semester... I honestly don't think it matters too much for your bachelors unless you're in a specific field like engineering.

No it's not that big of a deal, but it's a big confidence builder and it does give you just that little edge when it comes down to getting a job.
