Dual shock buttons are pressure sensitive Xbox is not. So one case if you hold up a solder for dogtag using by holding a gun, pushing the button slightly on dual shock will just hold up the soldier, while Xbox controller just shoot the soldier. I cant think of other differences but you cant really go bad with either one

Both versions are pretty much the same. I personally went with the PS3 version so as to have the whole MGS series on one console.

Did played Metal Gear Solid 3 HD for a while and found that the little cutscene where Snake burn the leech off was really badly done. Kind sad, it was all bunch of squares most of the time.
