Anyone know if this game is any good?
I have it. I enjoyed it. While not an outstanding game...it's a good game. Actually, the first half is great...a quarter afterward is meh, and the last quarter is good. I also enjoyed the story. I bought it for $14. For $9...I'd say it's totally worth it. You can definitely do a whole lot worse.

Aiming can be a bit touchy (not as refined as other top-notch shooters)...but you'll get used to it with little diligence. It never got in the way of me enjoying the game...then again, I adapt to many shooters fairly well.

I got my copy of Kane & Lynch from Newegg yesterday and spent about 30 minutes with it. I think this snippet from 1UP's review is accurate:

"It's definitely more of a popcorn game for the action-movie crowd than a hardcore shooter, but there's nothing wrong with that."

If you're expecting great, modern shooter gameplay, then look somewhere else, cause this game feels years old in that category. From all reports, the storyline is supposed to be decent, so I'll give it a play-through.

In comparison, I bought Army of Two for $15 from Best Buy a while ago. So far that seems like a better deal than K&L for $8, but I have to reserve my complete review of the game, because I've played so little of it thus far.

Not if you have Prime. :D

With all the deals Amazon has, I don't know how anyone here doesn't have Prime.

No joke. Prime is awesomely useful. Here, have a steak! :)

Thanks for the updates! Gonna pick up Resistance now :)

By the way, can we please correct the subject header with "ResistAnce" spelled correctly? That may help for people who use the search tool to find the thread.
Can we take the legal mumbo jumbo somewhere else please? This thread is getting really crapped up. I'd just like to find out about new price drops at Newegg and instead I have to wade through all this BS about Cali and Delaware state laws and epenis measuring contests.

Thanks.
It wouldnt be so bad if people actually new what the hell they are talking about.

Im sorry but just because it sounds good to you doesnt make it legal standing. Id like to see a rise of hands of folks in here that are actually lawyers in real life and actually understand retailer/credit card contracts............yeah thats what I thought.

I highly doubt anyone really got a open item from them anyway, and on the off chance they did I cant see them having issues getting it refunded or a percentage taken off. Newegg doesnt sell many open items and when they do they are clearly marked as such. Not to mention they have outstanding customer service, Ive spent thousands on hardware with them over the years and never had a issue. Hell I ordered something with them once and UPS made a error and delievered it to the wrong house and newegg still gave me a 20% credit back on my purchase because I didnt get my item til the day after I was supposed to.

Actually, I am a practicing attorney in California who used to defend corporations and retailers against consumer suits and I can say with 100% certainty that your continuing references to retailer/credit card contracts has zero relevance to the discussion of New Egg's obligations under California Law. A number of people on this thread have received clearly used or refurbed items from New Egg. To date, New Egg has done right and replaced the items. As such, this debate needs to stop.

I'm an attorney, and although I don't know a lot about retailer/credit card contracts, I know for a fact that contracts are always subject to federal or state laws. You can't get around that.

Thanks again for keeping this thread current OP and contributors. I just bit on Eat Lead PS3 since it dropped back to $9.99. (I have really got to stop!)

Is Dark Sector worth 9 bucks? Also anyone tried Eat Lead?

Also, would you give someone you really want to hurt Jericho? lol

I saw a bunch of copies of The Conduit on clearance at target for $15, so check there if you still want that game.

I loved Dark Sector. Got bored with Eat Lead. Jericho I enjoyed.

I hated both of them. Dark Sector looks good, but actually gets less fun after you get the boomerang thing, and both it and Eat Lead are too hard/frustrating (and FPS is a genre I can more often than not finish a game in).

IMO $5 is too much for either game. (And bear in mind I liked Haze pretty well, and think it's bashed for no good reason...but those two suck IMO.)

For anyone considering Project Sylpheed I would not recommend it if you don't enjoy frustration with Newegg. I received my replacement copy today and it is another Spanish copy that has the added bonus of being in a broken case. You're better off with that $30 bundle with two other games and two rechargeable batteries from buy.com if you actually want the game.

I can't wait for them to send me another Spanish copy...

Huh, weird . . . I bought that from them over the summer, and (other than USPS losing the first one that was shipped, which Newegg replaced for free) I had no problems -- I got a new, sealed, US English copy. That just makes me wonder all the more where they're getting these things, that they have such variation on individual titles.

Yeah I was wondering about that too. I'd say it was probably a shipping error since it seems like most of these were made in Mexico to begin with so some of the US shipments got switched with the ones meant for Mexico. That's just a guess on my part though. I kind of hope they just give me a refund at this point...
Been debating buying Kane and Lynch for awhile, I'm a sucker for a good story, can't resist for $9.
Same here. I can put up with mediocre game play if the story is compelling enough, plus $9 isn't the end of the world.

Don't buy Eat Lead. It's really frustrating, the humor sucks dick, and the character moves super slow. I tried to beat it and I couldn't bring myself to do it. Just avoid it.

Yep, and the ending made me wanna punch my monitor in the face, all that crap and that is it? But yeah, it's not even worth the 10.96 I paid for it.
is there a free shipping code for newegg?
Nope. But all games are free shipping so you must be buying something not in this thread.
Nope. But all games are free shipping so you must be buying something not in this thread.
Yeah. I don't think a "free shipping code" would even work on a game that is eligible for free shipping anyways.

Make sure that you're looking at games that are in this thread.

endwar is at a buy it price for me now, but now I have to wonder if I'll get burned on $2 again like I just did with lost.

Newegg sent me a resealed Rayman Raving Rabbids xbox 360 game. It was not the factory plastic with the customary folds. Furthermore, the xbox 360 seal on the side had been slit open. Fortunately, the game disc itself still looks brand new.

Looks like the game has been de-activated now from the site.

Question about Raiden IV: Is this the limited edition that comes with the bonus soundtrack CD, or does it come with just the game? If it's the limited edition, i'm definitely in for 1.

Hard to say. By the cover art they have, no. Hopefully someone here might have purchased from them.

Raiden IV LE was a Gamestop exclusive AFAIK.

But for $10 less I just ordered from Newegg. Soundtrack isn't worth that much more to me. Picked up Aces as well.

All copies of Raiden IV are the limited edition and come with the CD soundtrack. The Gamestop exclusive was a PDF download. A member here was nice enough to post the download for everyone.
