What helps me is to ask if I buy this game...

When am I going to make the time to play it?

Am I really going to make the time to play it?

Will I actually play it before the next sale?

How badly do I really want to play it?

Why do I want to play it?

Most games, I can kind of talk myself out of... which helps as my backlog this year has only grown by a few smaller digital games (most of which I've played), two retail games (one of which I already finished), and has given me more time to dig into my backlog while i wait for DQ Builders 2 and DQ XI-S.

Plus Blackfriday is always a big time for me and games. If I'm going to go back and get a few things I wanted but knew I wouldn't make the time for very soon, then that's been the best time to just round out my wishlist. For digital, there's typically always a sale later on... and they tend to get much better with time.

StarFox is in all switch versions.

I thought base digital didn't include any extra ships, guns, pilots, etc.. which is why there was a deluxe, but looks like your count is right other than missing 1 extra ship in deluxe. Did they change that recently? There are also store exclusives not in either.

By far the weirdest thing about today's Direct was that there wasn't some sort of Banjo-Kazooie game announced to tie-in with their inclusion in Smash. I figured we'd see the first two released on Switch, but wouldn't that be something if a whole new game was in development...? And it was made by Retro...?

Just looked it up and Japan had the Mana collection on sale in May for 50% off. $20 seems like the right price, so as much as I want to finally play the third one, I think I'll just wait for a sale or get it physical.

The $4 game is not the Zelda version. The Zelda version comes out later this week.

But it is a rhythm game dungeon crawl rougelike. Crypt of the necrodancer for $4 should be a good entry to see if it's your cup of tea as the Zelda version is going to be $25 I believe.
