Jackbox needs to do the smart thing and offer a free-to-play browser for Jackbox Party Pack games like a Pinball FX3 or Pinball Arcade so that you can have all of the games in one launcher that you could still buy in packs or individually to make it easier to move between the ~25 different games they've put out so far.

If you enter a code for a game you get the coins for the regular price of the game regardless if it is on sale or not. If you buy it discounted on the eShop then you get coins for the discounted price.

Great concept, super freaking buggy on Switch at least. Even after patches. I put about 12 hours into it before I just got sick of dealing with them. The deal breaker was icons being stuck on the screen (-2000 gold after an upgrade) persistent through saves and resets. Literally every rock and tree you hack or pick causes the game to stutter. Host of other issues. Will be great when it is no longer a beta, or maybe the PC version is better or at least has user support.

I was hesitant to get Cadence of Hyrule at full price.. But dang is it amazing! I have played it a TON this weekend and think I am already nearing the end of the first play through.

It is an amazing adaptation of the Necrodancer gameplay with classic Zelda. It just works perfectly and the vibe reminds me a bit of Oracle of Ages/Seasons which is just all the better haha

I had a rough start adjusting to the gameplay, but after switching to the easier off-rhythm mode I'm having a blast. Next playthrough I'll be using the normal setting, but man I am hooked. This definitely a game I'll be replaying a ton, well worth the price for me.

Now if only they would release the soundtrack...

Pretty much this. I had bought a bunch of physically games and traded them all in eventually. Rebought any that I wanted to keep digitally and all games going forward are/were purchased digitally. Any game that was on sale was bought from amazon when available to get the most amount of food coins.

Very tempted to buy this myself, but I have such a huge backlog that I feel I should wait for a sale, but FOMO is setting in now that it is out. I did download Necrodancer while it is on sale and haven't played that in awhile, but that just makes me want to play Cadence of Hyrule more.

It's crazy. Every preowned NSW game I've bought so far has had unredeemed coins. Even got an unredeemed Bayonetta 1 code from the box the other day.
 
honestly its not that surprising. I wouldnt call most switch owners the most savvy deal wise, and most probably never go into the eshop, not to mention the menu you have to go into to earn the coins. now, the bayonetta code, that is a weird one.

Just guessing but are the coins actually tied to the cart, or does my Nintendo just keep track of what title you redeemed coins on? If it’s not tied to the cart it’s possible the previous owners are redeeming coins as well, which is a nice move on Nintendo’s part. But they do expire if you don’t redeem after a year or two. So who knows?
 
I love Dr. Mario, one of my favorite puzzle game series, but I’m worried about the new match-3 gameplay (it should have at least been a match-4!). Though having watched their video I feel a bit reassured, it seems like it could be fun, and I haven’t seen a match-3 play like this. And luckily for me, metered F2P games like this don’t bother me, since I tend not to play mobile games for long enough to need to spend money for more play sessions.

Just look at Super Mario Maker 2, it wasn’t that long ago when they announced it. And it feels like pretty much any big $60 game that isn’t a 3rd party cross-platform title is being added to the voucher lineup.

 
Yeah we haven't seen much of their first half of 2020 schedule yet. There's no way Animal Crossing is their only first party release between Christmas and June 2020.

I feel like they are going to have a Mid-Summer/Early Fall Direct that will announce the new console revisions and a slew of 2020 games.

Digger Dan DX is basically a remake of Boulder Dash, and Quest of Dungeons is one of my favorite turn-based roguelikes of this generation. And Quest of Dungeons is cross-buy with the Wii U version. I love being a patient gamer!

Thanks for mentioning these cheap games. Neither seem like something I'd enjoy, but I bought a 10 cent JRPG-like game several months ago called Cycle of Eternity, played it for the first time today, and loved it. It seems to be only for New 3DS, but it's currently on sale for .48, so it's worth checking out if you like turn-based JRPGs.

Another cheap game on sale now, Toys vs. Monsters, is pretty much a clone of the original Plants vs. Zombies. If you want a cheap, portable version of that game, this might be worth checking out. The main difference between the two games is that you have to handcrank energy by drawing circles on the touchscreen until you can build enough batteries to generate their own power in this game, so I prefer PvZ's automatically generated sunlight.

I'm looking at another cheapy game, Fantasy Pirates. It looks sort of like a 3D shmup to me. Has anyone here played it?
 
I haven't bought any vouchers yet, but I'm considering it for titles that I'd be looking to gameshare with my brother. Mario Maker and Pokemon Shield/Sword so far. Definitely Animal Crossing, but not sure if there's a fourth . . .

I use Nintendo Life as my main source of reviews for 3DS eShop games, but there was no review of Cycle of Eternity and they gave Toys vs Monsters and Fantasy Pirates average and poor reviews respectively. I haven't played any of them, so I'm a bit concerned about adding them to my library without finding out a bit more about them. So, I won't say no, but I enjoy buying really cheap games if they're actually decent games. And there are some that are worth buying for the low prices that they offer.

Considering Coaster Creator 3D and Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers.

Anyone pick up/play Hob?

Looking for a new 3D Zelda like game after Cadence, but the demo didn't really have enough in it to get a feel of the game. Can't decide if this is worth the sale price

Bought during the sale. It’s good. It’s more top down than it seems so don’t go in looking for an OoT type game.
 
Finally trying to beat the Hand of Gilgamesh. That last boss battle is so hard on the hardest difficulty. This whole game has been a challenge on the hard difficulty. I was so close but I ran out of steam at the end. Going to try again tonight and hopefully I can win the 40 minute battle or so. One of my favorite RPGs in a long while. Plays perfect on the Switch too since it was the first one that got the game.
