Just a warning. Somebody managed to acquire Pokemon Sun & Moon (apparently a review copy) and are leaking and spoiling everything on the net. In particular, some popular YouTube channels are posting all of this on their thumbnails, so if you want to avoid leaks, be very careful on YouTube and social media.

You are so right. They really are of a mixed up mindset, as the NS is really the same things the Wii U should have been 5 years ago, and while better, really isn't anything new or ground breaking and is just more of the same really.

How Iwata saw this as some HUGE improvement to the failing Wii U boggles my mind, but I always thought he was rather "clueless" in regards to most things, so the NS really shouldn't be a big surprise to me at all. It's really just more of their broken thinking of "our way, or the highway" mentality.

Where Steve Jobs was a Jedi Master in regards to fan manipulation, as he truly sold those products on his say so alone, and fans loved him for it. Iwata only really ever had the hardcore fanboys in his control, and that was actually more funny, than anything else. LOL
I think your last section, about Steve Jobs, more accurately depicts Nintendo than, "It's really just more of their broken thinking of "our way, or the highway". I think Nintendo got so full of themselves after the Wii (though they already had quite lofty opinions of themselves, from my understanding), that they deceived themselves into believing they were better than they were. I sense Nintendo coming from more of a Field of Dreams perspective ("If we build it, they will come") rather than a prideful, conceited frame of mind. I think Nintendo truly believed all their hard work had finally helped them discover the holy grail, and were in such awe, that when any thoughts came to them for the successor to that creation, they had to write them down in an exact manner, even if an idea sounded ridiculous. They convinced themselves that this was the "essence of gaming" communicating with them, telling them exactly how to proceed. They could no longer listen to any of the peons that had never known the glory of selling 113+ million consoles. Rational ideas were for the lonely, depraved people that didn't want to play games with their families and save the world. They had no need for that, but they didn't get to the point of looking down on people. They just couldn't hear anyone that wasn't talking to them in the voice of the "essence of gaming (or money, who are we kidding)". Now, they get to realize that the voice they heard was actually Charley Murphy just screwing with them.

Aw, the sale is over on the eShop gift card? Was a good price

And yeah, no Super Metroid for me either. I think that'd be the one I'd grab too.

Someone on NeoGaf was kind of enough to post the direct link for Super Metroid in case anyone needs it:

Thank you!!

Unfortunately, it says, "unable to complete process. Please try again later." I don't think it will let us use it if it's not showing it to us. I hope I'm wrong, though.

For those of you who were having trouble with the Super Metroid coupon, check your Rewards page again. The first page was cancelled and taken down, but the coupon is back up with a new one now.

If you're still playing the Badge Arcade, it's the 1-year anniversary so all paid bundles are 50% off.

At least I know it will take me less than a year left to get to the max level.

For those of you who haven't tried it yet, Gunman Clive 1 & 2 are great at full price, and at 50% off it's a super duper buy, go for it.

So I noticed some Black Friday were leaking a $99 3DS. Should I go for that or wait it out for a Super Mario Maker 3DS bundle?
For $99 you can get the system now, buy Mario Maker on it's own and still be saving money. "N" NEVER offers deals like this, so I would go for it. Everybody in my house already has that model, but for that price, I'm thinking of grabbing another just for the hell of it.

Definitely go for the $99 New 3DS deal. Unlike Yoshi's Wooly World and Hyrule Warriors, there is no point in getting Mario Maker 3DS. You'd be better served getting almost any of the Nintendo Selects titles instead.

I heart gunman Clive... If you like that game, you'll also heart Luckslinger. You can see my interview with the dev in my signature... I have lots of gameplay footage on there. We mentioned gunman Clive somewhere in there.

Not sure how many of you are Amazon Prime members, but I've been selecting the No Rush shipping option to get $1 free digital credit each time I make an order.  Just checked yesterday and I have enough digital credit for a completely free $10 eshop card!  Not bad for just waiting a little extra on shipments.

I never get those offers anymore. Now all I get is Prime Pantry credit offers.

Grabbed Gunman Clive. I already had Gunman Clive 2 from a past sale, but happy to get the first one. Overall, it's a quality jump and shoot game.

Like pitfallharry219, I only ever get the Prime Pantry credit offer. It's typically $5 in credit for me. I should probably do it and just get some random household items after saving up but instead I just get things shipped to me faster.

UK retailer GAME is apparently pricing the Switch at £199, which is about $250 USD, likely confirming the TRU Canada price. There's also going to be an separate bundle with more internal storage and a game packed in.

I've found if you go for the pantry item that they won't offer it to you for a while and it goes back to the digital credit offer.

If that ends up the real price, I'm probably on board day 1 (if pre-ordering is even possible).

Thanks, I'll have to give that a try next time I order something.

$250 seems like a decent price, I might actually get one to take around while traveling for work. I'm hoping they offer cheap upgrades for Smash, Mario Kart, Mario Maker, etc if you already bought digitally for Wii U. I'd rather have those but be cool to get all the classic games I've already bought as well without having to pay again.

I like that price point too.

I wonder if it'll allow external storage like portable USB or even SDHC cards.

Bad news for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. According to the latest rumor, the localization team is having trouble and won't be finished until December. After that, the game will require 4-6 months of bug testing, meaning it's extremely likely BotW will miss the launch of the Switch.

Unless it has a decent size storage, it would be moronic of Nintendo to not have a cheap option for exterior storage (I'm guessing it'll be SD or MSD)

If that's true they may as well rename it Zelda: The Last Guardian

I took the pantry credit and used it a while later and since all I have been getting are the $1 digital credits.
The pantry credit can be a good deal if you can pair it with a free shipping deal as well, which they have pretty regularly. Gotten some pretty cheap stuff that way a couple times.

Thank you guys for letting me know I could redeem my credit for the $10 card. For some reason, I didn't think this was possible. I had been trying to figure out which of the 3DS downloadable codes to use the credit on, when I really ddidn't want anything.

Now I can get Denpa Men 3 for free.  :D/

Amazon even has a $5 digital eshop card in case you only have a few credits and don't want to spend much, if any at all, out of pocket.

If it was that simple it would be as worthless as the Mini Nes.
You begin to see my disappointment with Nintendo. Honestly, the controllers are likely bluetooth with some connection point on the screen. They upgraded the processor. The dock is essentially an HDMI passthrough (I'd be curious if you could just hook it directly into the TV without the dock). And finally, (most importantly) a 3 hr battery life means I can't even take the thing with me to the work because it will die before I get home.

I don't get it.

So I will continue to sigh at the decisions Nintendo chooses to make and play Pokemon quietly on the 3DS in a corner somewhere.
