How would I tell if I already have the Mario Kart DLC? I bought some DLC a while back but never booted the game again. Like, wasn't there a discount on getting the DLC in advance?

Okay. You must be new to this, but that's normal. The web store doesn't properly show how many coins you'll actually get, as you get points equal to what the MSRP would offer, not the sale price. It's technically a glitch, but it hasn't been fixed since My Nintendo began that suggests it's probably not really a glitch.

You have to go to your My Nintendo points history to confirm that this is the case, as mine shows that Swap Fire got me 20 points. That is what I was referring to when asking for proof since linking to the web store page is meaningless.

I just bought Fast RMX, the 1st non special edition game I've bought while not on sale since the 90s. Twilight Princess was like 10% off that's like the 2nd worst. It's pretty great, sense of speed with the corkscrew tracks is fun. Can't shake the guilt though.

Should run the same, as it just provides a way to play those games without starting up Wii Mode and the disc.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here, but Snipperclips is a great game (provided you have someone to play co-op) for those of you itching to play something else on Switch. Think there's a demo on the e-shop. 

 
Picked up SMW for 3DS from Amazon. Plays and controls great on N3DSXL. Just make sure to switch to pixel perfect mode so the graphics and text aren't blurry (they should have made this the default setting).
 
Wow, this is disappointing. When Nintendo upgraded to the Switch, they effed up the online storefront for the 3DS and Wii U, even though we just got the ability to track our purchases AND get emailed receipts

 
I want to get the binding of Isaac but I can't figure out the pricing on that, it's $40 for a game (sequel?) that can be had for $1 on PC, and originally retailed for $20? I'm not understanding the pricing, are they just taking advantage of a new console with limited games? I hope I'm missing something, because the Isaac game on PC is great, but it's not worth more than $10.

Totally agree with this. My son is not a puzzle gamer at all, but we had a blast last night with Snipperclips.

Yeah, it's really the base game and three expansions. Base game, Rebirth expansion, Afterbirth expansion, Afterbirth+ expansion where they are also taking in fan mods and adding them permanently. Launch copies come with the Classic Zelda type manual and some stickers or something.

Technically, the original game is not there since the limitations of Flash necessitated remaking the whole game in a new expansion to expand on it further. It's the remade Rebirth game plus it's two expansions.

It's a different mode that's basically a different version of the main campaign, so you can use it whenever.

Hey OP those coin values are wrong. They only count what you pay now, instead of what it usually costs like before. Just looked at Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and they're only worth 10 each.

It was fine last week when I picked up the free game and got 20 gold points, so I'll need a screenshot of your MyNintendo points history for your purchase this week to prove this.

If you're just looking at the webstore pages, that's always been like that since they've never been correct.

 
I got the free game too, but it said 20 coins on the web page.

I don't think I'm gonna buy Jeopardy just to test it, but the page says 10 coins.

I was just going to get it to have the 40 coins I need for the Mario Kart DLC.

The webpage has always been off for gold coins. This is nothing new. Like Frisky said, it goes by the regular price. Next time you make a purchase of a game on sale where it changes gold coin amounts, check your purchase history and you'll see the gold coins go by the original price.

 
Do VC games ever go on sale?  I was looking at picking some up so I could get the coins for the Rhythm Heaven Megamix discount (via My Nintendo) before it expires.
