All the bestbuys in my area had 30 switches each saved for sale this morning
They don't show up online you have to go in store. They had them in the customer service area at the store I went to instead of on the shelves
 
I'm in the Cincinnati metro and have found Switch units around at Meijer, Target, and Best Buy just going out in the morning on the weekends. Mario+Rabbids seems to be clearing the shelves again but I've had plenty of chances to get one, even the weekend the Smash amiibo came out last month.

I'm not sure why you are being hostile and making claims I didn't make.

Switch should be the best selling console in August. It can be and still have had demand not be as high as it was from March to May.
 
Any idea on the stock of the new Splatoon 2 bundles? Plan on just going at midnight to snag one. Haven't been to a Walmart by choice in a long while, should there be any issues with me trying to get it then?

Your guess is as good as anyone's actually. With this unit being exclusive, you would think there is ample stock, but this is "N" after all, so I'm sure it will be a YMMV type deal. The unit isn't really branded or anything, so not much need for the collector crowd. And considering the game is already out, I can't see a HUGE rush for these, but if each store gets 1-3, it may be a blood bath. You'll just have to try your luck and see what happens.

Lol. We aren't talking about March. No one said Switch will be best selling console in August. And answering 2 calls about the Switch in March and none now nothing to do with discussion.

You gotta follow along. Simple pt that just because we suddenly see more Switches on the shelf recently doesn't mean demand suddenly dropped.

Just saw a story saying nintendo plans to ramp up switch production for the holidays...

uh, if they have the ability to do that, really does sound like artificial shortages the last few months.

Well hell, they said that shortly after it was released. So are they ramping up more than was done previously? How about they ramp up game production instead(by producing some new games)? LOL

when gamestop says switch systems are available on their website, they arent going to try and explain that theyre bundle-only in store right?

because multiple stores apparently have switches standalone for 299 for pickup

 
Looks like best buy has a big restock right now in-store. There are switches available in every single BB in the store finder radius near me on the website.

Not unless you're a diehard fan of Nintendo's first party games. So far most of the games are a few first party Nintendo games and some common indie games that are readily available on other platforms. The Switch is unlikely to get many multiplat 3rd party games due to the much weaker hardware, lack of storage, etc. I'd wait until next year to see if the library expands or continues to drip out the way it's been doing.

Rabid mario is the only third-party there, and it's still a Mario-branded game. There will be NBA2K18 this month, which by all accounts is a full-fledged port of the actual game, but that's about the only one in parity with the other console/PC releases. Square Enix was teasing a chibi version of FFXV, but I'd rather we get nothing at all if that's the one we're going to get on Switch. So the chimpmeister is not wrong.

In any case I got a Switch for Nintendo games (rabid ubisoft mario doesn't count) and to have something to play on the toilet, so I'm not mad at all.

 
After not being interested in getting a switch at launch since Zelda was the only game I was interested in and already having a wii u. I figured I'd just get it on there and call it a day. 5+ months later gamestop has a decent trade in deal for the switch which I use to get the system, zelda, splatoon, and mario kart.

Really good decision. I just wish I had the extra cash for a pro controller instead of just buying the horipad.

The Wal-Mart flyer says there's a minimum of 2 per store. I was hoping that I wouldn't need to go to the store at midnight and I could pick one up that morning, but with only 2 per store - I doubt it. I will try calling around in that morning just to see

if any stores have them still.

Thanks. I was able to order a Neon version for in-store pickup. There seem to be a few more available in the area. The in-store pickup option seems to become available when they don't sell out during the weekend.
 
They are in stock at best buys website now as well.

I'm holding out at least until Xenoblade 2. I've got Zelda and Mario Kart for Wii U, so eventually I'll get the new Mario and Xenoblade 2 with a system.

Presumably Wal-Mart has the Splatoon Bundles in the back waiting to be sold tomorrow, any word on the stock numbers?

Debating going at midnight or just calling in the am to have them hold one.

The ad states minimum 2 per store... I'm not sure if I should try going at midnight as well or not yet.

 
Anyone have a SKU for the Splatoon bundle? I tried going in at midnight and no one had any idea what I was talking about and said to try again in the morning at the other locations but I cant in the morning. Was hoping I could try calling them instead.
 
Eldersburg, MD had 3 on the floor on Labor Day. I tried to buy one, but their system wouldn't let them complete the purchase because of the street date (that's when I found about the date). So they took them all to the back.

Fortunately I nabbed a neon model during this week's Best Buy restock. Because I'd thought about going to Walmart at midnight, am I really getting too old for this shit.

I just pulled these up on Breekseek for my area, and the average seems to be about 12 per store currently showing. The highest is 31 at one store, and the lowest that still shows stock is at 4. A few stores show no stock, so maybe they only got 2 and sold out, or they just didn't get any to begin with.

I've been planning to get an NS for my son, and this bundle why not really any kind of savings, it does offer the unique colored JC. I also normally don't like digital titles for him, but he loves Splatoon, so having it digital, I'm sure he wouldn't get tired of it anytime soon and want me to sell it, so this bundle may be to his liking. I'll keep an eye on inventory for now, and make a choice based on how fast these may stick around for.

 
The Switch I picked up is getting stowed away until Christmas. With that in mind, I'm kind of happy I didn't get the Splatoon bundle. This way I'm not committed to Splatoon still having a community in late December. If it does--and I think it will--then I'll pick the game up then.

 
Definitely depends on where in Texas. One of our stores shows 8. The rest show 4 or less. That said all the small towns seem to have at least 3 around here. I just picked one up at the store with eight and they confirmed that Brickseek was right and they had 8 on hand.

Yeah, don't even worry about that. My son still plays the first game, and there are more than enough people still playing that. "N" online games normally stay active for what seems like forever. I can probably put on Dark Moon for the 3DS right now, and get some online action going. LOL

The same way they rarely if ever discount games, their online communities are just about the best in regards to how long they last. As there is always new people buying their products across many age groups, or just those who continue to play the same games forever. Mario Kart will still be active after the next game is even released, so I'm sure you shouldn't have any issues if and when you ever buy Spla2oon!

I am sure Splatoon will still have people playing it at that time. I still play FatPrincess from time to time, and there are always people on there playing on the PS network.

On a side note, where are you seeing the Splatoon Switch for sale? I saw the posting on the front page, but it doesn't link to a location to buy it. Did I miss it already?

It goes on sale today, and here's the SKU: 394092847

Punch that in to Brickseek and you can see your local inventory. My town has shown 89% inventory for the last hour or two.

EDIT: This is really the first bundle offered here in the states, but the only benefit is getting the special colored JC. So I'm not sure how the appeal will be for this, as you really have to want Splatoon 2 or be a fan, to really get this bundle. If it would have been offered at the launch for the game, I'm sure these would already be gone.

Thanks for the SKU code! Went to the Walmart with the most quantity. They didn't have them on the floor I had to ask for it. Looks like the stores in my area got at least 4 each.

Almost gave up after getting the run around at the first store I tried. Pretty sure the electronics lady was trying to hide the fact that they had them.

Second store I walk in as an employee is setting up a layaway for another employee. Got one there.

Yeah, mine finally went from 89% down to 86%.

I'm debating getting this one, or just going for the standard neon for my son. I may put one on Law a way, and then if I decide to go with this model, at least I'll know I can get it. Or if I get the neon, I can just cancel this one. I'll keep an eye on stock and see how it goes before I make a choice one way or another.
