I'm honestly surprised at how good the Persona Q one looks from Atlus unboxing. I wasn't expecting anything too grand as I've never bought a handheld CE before. Just reading the contents made me doubt the worth. But you can really see the little things, like taking off the back cover to reveal another; it's superb and I'll probably end up pre-ordering tomorrow. Now if only Monster Hunter 3 had an $80 value edition with artbook/soundtrack.

I decided before I sell my DA: Inquisitor's, I wanted to look for another unboxing video to make 100% sure.

Didn't find one, just the one already  posted in this thread. I watched it again, and it's definitely one of those Gamestop people that got it early in-store. If you watch it carefully, you can tell it's opened in a store. You see a box on the ground, tiled floor, a keyboard, and at the end of the video it looks like rolled up receipt paper or stickers and a gamestop bag in the backdrop.

I wonder if it's the same guy from the reddit thread.

I know a lot of people are expressing diasppontment about the Inquisitor edition but I for one have no plans of selling mine. I bought it because I'm a fan of the series and I know that the game will be good so I don't mind keeping the set for collection. =)

 
The copy I ordered yesterday morning shipped, getting it tomorrow afternoon.  While it may be "cheap", like seraph011 I got it because it's my 2nd favorite series of games behind Mass Effect.

 
Yup, read all the novels based of the game and working through the first volume of the World of Thedas in time for the game. But yeah..to some the ce might feel cheap and overpriced for what it really is but as a fan of the series, I think it's worth it to have aand keep/ =) 

 
I'm a big fan of the series too, but what I am not a fan of is getting exploited by companies. I'd have no problem paying the money for a quality product, but the stuff you get for the price and the quality of it is just unacceptable.

With hand-crafted statues, I can understand why those CEs may be expensive, but for this stuff?

If there was a nice artbook or a statue or something, I'd keep it. But hey if you want it, that's your choice. Just not for me.

I sold it on ebay for $340, and I'll just use my GCU to buy the deluxe edition from Best Buy.

 
PSA Kingdom Hearts 2.5 CE is down to approximately 300 copies per the Square Enix Official Facebook page. If you want it now then order but don't have regrets if you decide to pass!

 
The Inquisitor's Edition is BIG AND HEAVY...

...And jumbled, hopefully nothing is broke!

A quick summary of what I see in the box:

  • There are three "figures" in the set:  a lion, an eagle, and cross-keys.  The cross-keys had fallen out of its space and broke (cross-keys separated from their stand) and the lion had fallen apart into three pieces (but doesn't look like it broke, easily goes back together).
  • The shield item had fallen out of its space and was bouncing around.  Its space in the chest is so tight that it may break if I try to remove it again.
  • The lockpick set is nice, but if I were to have a professional set it would be nicer. ;)
  • The quill pen is basically just a black feather.
  • The tarot cards are pretty large, but there is a space between the cards half way through the deck (different warping for one half than the other half).
  • The "imprinted red silk" mentioned in the item description is just glued red felt.  It is glued on thin molded plastic.  Nothing extraordinary there.
  • The steelbook case is G2 size (yay!) but does not have the game's title on it.  Inside the case is a code to redeem on social.bioware.com/redeem for more in-game items ("FOR ACCESS TO BONUS MULTIPLAYER ITEMS" ??) but when I try to redeem the code at that URL I get this message:  "We are unable to activte codes from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Instead, please redeem it using the Origin client or by visiting Origin's Redeem Product Code page."  FYI:  The code redeemed fine at the link mentioned in the error.
  • In the under tray, the "hidden coins", cloth map, and cork stopper for the ink well were all floating around loosely.
  • The coins are pretty stout, either heavy plastic or resin.
  • The leather-bound journal is bound in really nice leather, but all the pages are blank (you expect me to fill the pages?!?)
  • The chest has a clear plastic slip cover that has a molded space to put the game but that wasn't being used and the game was just floating in the box with the OSG.  In fact, that molded plastic made the chest too tall for the box and gave it a bulge.
  • When I went to close the chest, one of the plastic corner pieces on the lid came off because there wasn't enough glue to hold it in place.
Not the best CE ever but some of the things in it are neat.  I might ask my local GS to see how hard it would be to get a replacement that isn't jumbled/broke.

I'm not a major stickler or high maintenance when it comes to stuff, but honestly, I feel kind of feel "betrayed" with this set. Not the type of stuff that was included, that was advertised before hand. We all know the types of stuff. I'm talking about the quality.

To be honest, each set probably cost like 20 bucks to make and they charge $100 for it. Some people's boxes are falling apart, the stuff is made of cheap plastic and paint. They knew being a gamestop.com exclusive people would eat it up, and they made it so cheap. People should be annoyed. Kind of a low tactic IMO.

The Post Pandemic in comparison was not low quality and it was also a gamestop exclusive.

the DA:I CE should only be at $149.99 at most msrp. the chess pieces look like those mcdonald plastic toys you get in a happy meal.

I love the game but the poor quality of the CE is making me want to return it...I'm not a fan of ebay besides idk if I feel right ripping off another gamer by charging more then gamestop did for this. I'm really disappointed, I have been looking forward to this CE for a long time. I was one of the first to post about it on here and put my preorder in 5 minutes after it went up, and now I feel like a sucker for it. Really was hoping this would be my center piece sort a speak. Oh well at least the game is really good!

I don't remember the most I ever paid for a CE. This was up there though.

I mean, just taking two WRPGs, just compare the difference between The Witcher 3 CE to DA: I. It's night and day and The Witcher 3's is cheaper, will probably be the game of the decade, comes with way more stuff. Hell the box is even awesome. Probably gonna be holographic like 2's CE was.

the witcher 3 CE might even been better quality in terms of the statue. and recent CE that looks like cheap mcdonald happy meal toy are far cry 4 CE statue. but then it is ubi$oft, so not a surprise

 
I cant seem to find anything on it, but wasn't there some Bandai Namco mech game LE last year that was exclusive for $150 and the only bonus was a 8" action figure?  

 
Yeah I'm kinda pissed as I was one of the most excited people on CAG & may have influenced a couple of purchases of it but I can't stand such low quality materials.

Listed mine at $340 or best offer & ended up getting $285 from someone in TN after a back and forth. Bought the Deluxe at BB w/GCU & just waiting to receive mine on Wednesday & payment to clear. Hoping KH 2.5 HD CE can stick around for a few more hours.
 
Just got my DA Inquisitor's Edition... and man, could GS have done a crapier job packing it? The thing cost almost $200 and they just ship the fucking thing in the stock box.:bomb: 

 
I actually heard rumors from game press on rebel fm podcast that witcher 3 is actually all smoke and mirrors and the game is much smaller than expected
 
Now that Hulkamania ps4 edition is out, is the game good and is the Hulkamania edition extras truly worth it?

There's no way. Considering the company's history with making a quality series and the development time between each installment, I have no doubt in my mind that the game will be just as big, if not bigger than what I saw at E3. They're also giving us 16 pieces of DLC for free after launch. I can't believe I hesitated on the CE and now I'm out of luck.

TBH the ones with the Inquisition CE have the last laugh. The lowest ones on ebay are listed at $329 atm, that's almost double..

i received my hulkamania version today.. it's a lot smaller than i expected. The ring is like a square inch and the figure isn't that great quality. These things are definitely not worth $40 more, especially with the game only being $30 on black friday.

You're probably thinking of the Armored Core: Verdict Day CE that was sold through the Club Namco store. It came with a soundtrack and artbook in addition to the figure.

It was apparently limited to 250 total.

TBH the ones with the Inquisition CE have the last laugh. The lowest ones on ebay are listed at $329 atm, that's almost double..

I was full fleged going to keep it until the crap quality of the contents was known. They list for $330 and someone here sold theirs for $340, but I took an offer of $285 and figured I would settle for that.

3 weeks ago I bought one of those $15 phones from BB to get the GCU and I sold it to someone who didn't pay, then got mad when I submitted an unpaid item strike on them (granted I didn't message them but I waited a full day after I was authorized to send the complaint to EBay.) They paid me by ECheck and it took a full 7 days to clear.

Needless to say that influenced me to take what I could get considering there was 18 of them for PS4 counting mine and the auctions were going for right at $300 it looked like.

 
Any place giving a good TIV for the WWE2k15 yet? I had an issue with the payment method on my Amazon order (wanted to use credit and instead it used cash) but they couldn't change it for me - so hoping to recoup some of that trading the game in at least (since I'm still on the fence about keeping the CE or returning it to Amazon).

Like others, I was totally amazed at how small this thing is - pretty tiny CE for $100.

I agree it definitely seems underwhelming they probably put a lot more value into the autograph which is nice, but I think I did overpay a little for it but I am satisfied with the contents mainly the autograph and Funko. Hoping the game is good this is the first wrestling game I bought since Nintendo 64

Haha in the EXACT same boat here! Last one I think was WCW vs NWO or something for the N64 - bought this primarily for the signature and canvas, a small piece of my childhood wrapped up in a small little box :)
