Persona Q premium sold out at BB.com.

I thought I pre-ordered it with GCU, but I didn't. Damn. Goofed on that one.

Does BB.com usually restock games when sold out?

Nope. It usually remains like that till the game is officially released. You can always try in store to preorder!
 
Well - it looks like mine is probably lost with UPS somewhere and if it does show up it will probably be ran over by a truck.

The tracking finally updated from delivery yesterday to now "Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time". 

How hard is it to get refunds from GameStop normally? I paid I beleive for expedited shipping (it says $9 on my invoice). It hasn't been scanned once since the original scan.

 
I just got newest super bundle for Dragon Age; the condition wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  Everything was undamaged, but the gold plastic trims on the outside are a bit loose due to the cheap glue and shiny leather surface.

I haven't noticed anyone trying to return parts of the bundle.  Does anyone know if you could return everything except the collector's box?  Anyways I'll check in with my local gamestop store to see if it's even possible.  I would rather pick the game from Best Buy with GCU or cheaper elsewhere later due to my backlog of games.

Retailers never refund shipping unless you make a legitimate case to get it back. Amazon is great example. If you return something because you simply changed your mind, you have to pay for the return shipping label. If it was an item that was damaged, then they will cover the return costs.

So by default, it's expected that Gamestop would not refund the shipping charges. Anybody can decide that they just spent more on it than they deemed it was worth - for that reason it wouldn't be right to expect a refund for shipping costs. Unlike a purchase at a store where you essentially paid for your own transportation costs to arrive, you don't seek reimbursement for your gas money when you're doing a return there. Shipping costs for online orders are the equivalent of your transportation costs.

In this case though, it was the manufacturer's quality control process that screwed up so this warrants a shipping refund and Gamestop should work that out with the manufacturer afterwards.
 
For the KH2.5s on ebay, I feel like the bidders are mainly those from countries where the CE wasn't available. With that, the shipping rates would skyrocket the price. They were even selling at $150 the day the pre-orders went up. Glady got one for myself. A second one would be nice too to get back some pay aha

You would be surprised how the secondary market works for collector's editions that are sold out. While I do agree that a lot of eBay orders are international, there are a lot of domestic orders as well. When I sell on eBay I only sell domestic because I hate dealing with overseas shipping and what not. With that said, eBay offers global trading where you just ship the package to one of their shipping centers and they cover the rest from there.

As with any collector edition, we will see how the values hold after the actual release and see if Square Enix is "holding any back."

 
I really want the Persona Q tarot card to finish off my set but I don't want the game. How much do you think i'll be paying if I try to snag them off of ebay on release day?

Pickup the game with the newegg app and pay with google wallet to get $15 off $50. You do need a filler item like a 99 cent sata cable because the game is $49.99.

Well today I did a partial bundle return and it works. You can return the game and strategy guide leaving just the collector's stuff for $100.

Going to do the same, I've already picked up the Deluxe Edition from Best Buy for 80% of $70 + tax and now I need to stop by GS and return the game. I've already returned the CE SG, and because I used a GC and a CC they give me the option of cash or credit back on the CC. :D

Also, I heard back from Josh Gray @ Triforce ([email protected]) about the broken contents of the IE and he wants pictures of the broken pieces. Hopefully after all the dust settles I'll have all three map markers intact. :)

Did you get instructions from your local store to email Josh?

When I called a local store, they seemed unaware about the IE issue. They offered to do a web in-store request but said there were none available.

Was there anything else that they instructed you to do?

I didn't contact my local store about the issue, but I searched for Triforce's website (http://www.projecttriforce.com) and they had a snippet of their Twitter feed on the front page. All three tweets mentioned issues with DAI and to send an email to that email address.

Got my Inquisitor's edition and luckily nothing was broken although everything was flying around. They shipped it in a fitted box so GS really did their packing job well, at least for this one that I got.

I have to say once I have it is really hard to let go. The quill and ink bottle is Happy Meal stuff but the cloth map is very well made and gorgeous when hung on the wall, the steelbook is awesome (the inside of the steelbook shows the amazingly detailed map) and the journal is made of very soft high quality (faux?) leather (relatively speaking, not comparing to thousand dollar leather jackets). So is the lock pick pouch but too bad the lock picks are plastic. The pages are made with rough old fashioned paper so I'm really digging that. The chess pieces will just fill some gaps on my display shelf. The box seems sturdy enough, and none of the paint is peeling or anything. This set is unique and probably can't be found easily down the road. Keeping it.

Now to find $200 to pay back my credit card!

Got an email from best Buy earlier today that my Persona Q: Wild Cards Edition shipped today.  Hopefully it gets here tomorrow, though more likely Monday.

I just realized that my Persona Q CE order is from the $50 fiasco... I don't think I ever got around to calling them to clear it up. I have the receipt showing it was the CE but BBY updated my order to be the regular edition, and never sent me an update on the change. 

Guess I'm screwed.

Post on the Best Buy forum, you should be able to get a $30 gift card for the price difference and they might be able to find a store with an extra copy of the CE to ship to you. Anyways if your want the CE many other retailers have it still available, so you don't need to lose arm, leg, or knee to pay for it on ebay.

 
Has anyones dragon age Inquisition Inquisitor edition shipped from Gamestop? I preordered it back on October 21 using value shipping and the tracking info still shows n/a

 
Great day of collector edition packages for me today.  

My Dragon Age Inquisitor's Edition was the first package I opened.  Like nearly everyone else, it is all busted to shit.  One of the gold plastic bindings on the case is broken completely off and several others are cracked.  Every single one of the statues was broken - the keys and eagle were both completely broken off their bases, the lion head had the spikey halo thingy broken completely off, the castle has chips running all along the top, nd the shield has one of the tails broken off.  Somehow the Steelbook arrived undamaged (although I can't believe they didn't even bother putting a damned title on the spine of that thing).  Definitely my worse CE experience ever (and I've got almost every CE of the past two console generations).

I figured things would be better when I opened up my two copies of WWE 2K15 Hulkamania Edition (ordered one from 2K and one from GameStop after I got an erroneous "backordered" email from 2K).  The one from 2K has the side of the box torn open and the one from GameStop has a side completely smashed in (despite both of them arriving in completely undamaged shipping boxes and being well-padded.  Warehouse soccer for the win!

I'm going back to bed.  Today clearly isn't meant to be my day.

 
You guys are speculating that the seller will be Rakuten?

I get taxed either way but I would just buy the bundle from Amazon if the seller is Rakuten. fuck Rakuten/buy.com.

How does Best Buy handle pre-orders? Do they put items for pre-orders aside in the back? Or are they not very diligent about it?

I've seen people complain on here about BB's giving away their copies to other customers.

Then again, I've seen people say the same about Gamestop and I've never had that happen to me.

Just asking, because having GCU now, I plan to buy a lot more from BB and when I order a CE that sells out, I'm wondering if I should head up to BB before work or if it'll be ok to wait until later in the evening.

depending on if you preorder through bestbuy.com , or preorder in store with $5 deposit. if you preorder through bestbuy.com, they will set aside your CE/ items in the pickup area. if you preorder in store with $5 deposit, you better show up before they open the store on the release date of the CE. otherwise any1 can buy your CE , once the employee brings it to the shelf from the back storage room

It varies on the store. My Best Buy sets aside pre-orders, whether from the website or in-store, at the pick up area with your name on a small post-it or slip.

This is simply not true. I have had CE's held for me with a $5 in-store pre-order many many times. It all depends on how competent your local Best Buy's employees are.

My Dragon Age Inquisitor's Edition was the first package I opened. Like nearly everyone else, it is all busted to shit. One of the gold plastic bindings on the case is broken completely off and several others are cracked. Every single one of the statues was broken - the keys and eagle were both completely broken off their bases, the lion head had the spikey halo thingy broken completely off, the castle has chips running all along the top, nd the shield has one of the tails broken off. Somehow the Steelbook arrived undamaged (although I can't believe they didn't even bother putting a damned title on the spine of that thing). Definitely my worse CE experience ever (and I've got almost every CE of the past two console generations).

Just to clarify in case we're talking about the same thing: you can assemble the halo with the middle beam which is what you insert into the lion head. So mine wasn't broken but it didn't come assembled when it arrived.

I figured that was probably the case. My halo's middle beam is completely snapped off.

 
That's disappointing to hear.  Whoever was supposed to be quality control at Triforce really dropped the ball here.  Reminds of me how the Destiny Ghost Edition was designed.  With millions of dollars invested, you'd think some of these folks would test out some prototype through oh I don't know ... a shake stress test  :dunce:

yeah, as already been said - this is a YMMV, as my BB (at least the 1 I've picked up POs from thus far) always puts it in the back with my name on it as I always do $5 in-store deposit and its the first thing they ask when you say you're picking up a PO. Sad to hear its not followed across the board though - that really should be a firm policy thing by now.

that is why i preferred to preorder through bestbuy.com. plus i always get enough bb store credit beforehand to pay off the CE, when i preorder through bestbuy.com. i have never had them sold the preorders i made through bestbuy.com. they always set it aside, and put it in the store pickup area with the sticker with my name, and phone number. here is a picture of the pickup sticker

I have no idea what even made them think that those items would make for a good CE set, unless they thought "What can we use that will be really cheap to make, but people will pay a lot of money for?" and settled on what they did.

 
sooooooo after reading this i decided crap i better open up the two ps4 copies i ordered of inquisition(forgot i had a web instore so ended up with 2)   thankfully what was broken in both sets was different so i was able to complete my one set.  im missing one glass bottle and map completely,bird is broken on both sadly as the feet were connect by literally a super thing piece of metal,and i have no clue how to secure the shield so im worried on how to store that.  either way.  i called gamestop about the online order and they said they are going to send me a 50$ gift card in 48 hours.  so if i actually get that then ill just return the defunct one completely to gamestop.

 
How can I hang the cloth map on the wall? Any veteran collectors have any advice? I live in a rent apartment (because obviously I can't afford to buy a house) so nails or pins are forbidden.

You can get a light weight frame and one of those kits with the special tape that comes with hooks meant for hanging pictures on the wall. I'm pretty sure 3m makes it. I forget what it is called tho.

Hey anyone know whats up with the premium(149.99) edition of The Order: 1886 and Best buy?  Been waiting forever for them to list it and it doesn't seem to be happening.  I noticed Gamestop has now sold out.  I guess I will place an order on Amazon to be on the safe side.  Would really to take advantage of GCU though(No shit who wouldn't.)
